Ya mungkin bagus buat Championship tapi dirasa kurang buat level United,he.. Atau Fergie ngenilai ada beberapa pemaen yang lebih muda yang lebih potensial dibanding dia. Nggak tau juga pertimbangannya apa.

Man Utd Sell Youngster -- Will They Regret it?

Manchester United Transfer News: Ravel Morrison Sold, Red Devils May Regret It

http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/v...op_650x440.jpg

Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the best managers ever in football and he is one of the main reasons for Manchester United's dominance in English football for the last two decades.

The experienced Red Devils manager has made several astute signings in the past but one of the main factors for their extended success is nurturing young talents from the academy who have gone on to establish themselves as world-class players. Players like Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs have played for United throughout their career and have shown high professionalism to go with their undoubted quality which has contributed immensely to their success.

He has been instrumental in the development of young players and has always looked to integrate talented youngsters into the first team. This is why it is surprising that Manchester United have sold Ravel Morrison to West Ham in this January transfer window. The teenager is very highly rated but has failed to establish himself at United due to various reasons.

Though Ferguson is likely to have his own reasons for letting the youngster leave on such a nominal fee, it could still be a move which he could regret in the future, and here are five reasons why it could be the case.

Youngsters with Problems Have Gone on to Become World-Class Players
There are a number of talented youngsters, who have caused some troubles at a young age and it is very difficult for the managers to deal with the current crop of youngsters, who are paid quite well right from a very young age. Some of these youngsters do not make it to the top level due to their attitude but there are others who mature as they develop and do utilize their talent to good effect.

One clear example is Arsenal captain Robin van Persie, who was outrageously talented but had problems when he was young.

However, under the guidance of Arsene Wenger and some other experienced players, he has grown not only into a world-class striker but also into a fine captain. Similarly, Ravel Morrison is very talented but needs to work on his attitude to the game in the future if he wants to succeed at the highest level. Though it will take plenty of effort from the manager and the player itself, he still has the time to sort out his future and grow into a superb player.

Morrison Has the Potential to Become a World-Class Player
Ravel Morrison is a player who genuinely has the talent to become a world-class player in the future and it takes plenty of time and investment to nurture a talent, especially someone as volatile as Morrison.

However, with Morrison moving to West Ham United, they will not be able to enjoy his best years of football. There have always been some very talented players in the Manchester United academy, but not many are as gifted as young Morrison, which is why they would have been reluctant to sell him.

The English youngster is clearly very talented but the question is whether he has the right attitude to realize his immense potential. Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the greatest managers in the game and if he cannot get the best out of Morrison, then it is bound to be a difficult but not an impossible task for other managers.

However, Sam Allardyce will hope that he can get the best from the player and if that is the case, then Ferguson could regret not holding onto the midfielder.

Could Sir Alex Ferguson Have Done Things Differently to Hold onto Morrison?
Sir Alex Ferguson is excellent when it comes down to man management of his players and he played his cards expertly in the last season to convince Wayne Rooney of the ambitions of the club. Not only did the striker stay at the club, but also managed to recapture his old form by good management.

However with regard to youngster Ravel Morrison, one wonders whether he could have done anything different to hold onto the talented youngster.

Manchester United failed to agree terms of a new contract with Morrison and with the youngster proving to be too difficult to handle for even a club like United, Ferguson did decide to sell him. Ferguson has said that his wage demands were unrealistic and that was the reason why he had not signed a new contract, while Morrison insisted that it was not about wages.

However, the fact that Ferguson decided to speak openly about the situation did not do good for the Red Devils, as Morrison was finally sold by the club.

Nominal Transfer Fee for a Superb Talent
Ravel Morrison is potentially a player who could be worth as much as £30 million if he was to play to his potential in a few years. He is one of the best talents to emerge from the academy and could have made an immense impact for United if he is focused on the game. He showed in the Youth Cup tournament that he has the quality to be successful at the highest level.

However, with his contract running down and the youngster looking for a move, Manchester United have been forced to settle for a very nominal transfer fee though they could possibly have a sell-on clause like Arsenal had when they sold David Bentley and some others. United have not reaped much financial benefit of a talent who has the ability to be a top midfielder in the future.

Manchester United's Long-Term Solution for Attacking Midfield Role
Paul Scholes has been one of the greatest midfielders to play for Manchester United under the long reign of Sir Alex Ferguson and has been one of the most vital players for United. Though he was primarily an attacking midfielder during the best years of his careers, he seamlessly adjusted to a deeper role in midfield where he can still influence the play.

When he retired at the end of the last season, it seemed like Tom Cleverley would be the player who could benefit and he made a superb impact before struggling with injuries this season. It has meant that Ferguson has brought back Scholes back from retirement and the English midfielder continues to show why he is such an important player for the team.

Ravel Morrison had the talent to become a world-class midfielder at Manchester United and, importantly, could play in attacking midfield with Cleverly supporting him in central midfield as well. However, with him leaving the club, it is important for United that they can improve Cleverley's long-term fitness as well because he will be a very vital player in the coming years.

Latics land Brown for a month

Oldham Athletic have bolstered their squad with the signing of Manchester United defender Reece Brown on a month's loan.

Brown, 19, has yet to make a first-team appearance for United, but featured twice on loan at Championship strugglers Doncaster earlier in the season.

The midfielder has previously had a stint at Bradford City and is in line to make his Oldham debut against League One promotion challengers Sheffield United on Saturday.

The England Under 20 international has endured an injury-hit campaign and is looking forward to the prospect of playing first-team football.

"I have had previous loan spells at Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers, and they are all part of the learning curve," Brown told the club's official website.

"I have reached the age when I need to be playing first-team games. It has been a frustrating season as I have only played six matches because of hamstring and hernia injuries.

"It is a privilege to play here, to help the team and learn from playing proper men's football against players who are bigger and quicker."

David Henen- The 15-year-old sensation on Manchester United radar
March 30, 2012 - imscouting.com

http://rsc.imscouting.com/global-new...r/13553/?w=280

15-year-old attacker, David Henen , is one of the youngest talents around to receive so much attention from several top class clubs.

The young Belgian currently plays for Anderlecht ’s youngsters, after transferring out of Standard Liege around a year ago.

Anderlecht are known for their outstanding youth system and good eye for spotting young talents, and there are some that have already marked Henen as the next Romelu Lukaku , although there are instinct differences between these two attackers.

Henen’s biggest ambition is to become the youngest player to make a professional debut in the Belgian Pro League.

Background and History

Originally from Luxemburg, Henen began his professional youth career playing for Florenville, where he was spotted by Liege scouts as an Under-12.

Henen spent three years at Liege, before his move to Anderlecht - after a fierce battle for the player between the two teams. A move that has sprung comparisons to Jonathan Legear , who now plays in Russia, but was also snatched up by Anderlecht from Liege.

Henen scored 32 goals in his debut season at Liege and 58 goals in his second year, adding 13 goals for the U16’s and 4 goals in only 10 matches for the U17’s in his final season, winning three national titles with Standard- marking him as one of the biggest youth talents in Belgium.

Strengths

As opposed to Lukaku, who is much more physical and at his best when inside the box, Henen is better when facing the goal, holding excellent dribbling skills.

The 1.85m-tall is an all-round offensive player, good with both feet and able to play at either side of the flank. Henen has made a reputation for himself as being an excellent right winger, but he is actually at his best as a striker, playing outside of the box area.

The youngster has a great ability to position himself well, he has good pace and holds powerful shooting skills with both feet from average distance towards the goal.

Weaknesses

Although Henen has good height, he still needs to work on his physical abilities in order to play with the big boys, but this will most likely come with age considering that he is only 15 (soon to be sixteen).

Henen also needs to work on his passing skills, especially for long distance.

Henen is very good when holding the ball, and he often heads back in order to receive the ball. Learning to direct his passing better, when feeding the ball forward to his teammates, may drive his offensive awareness to a whole different level in order to develop himself as a supporting striker.

Mentality

It is well seen that Henen is always improving his abilities from season to season, and he is a very focused player, who has big dreams and a huge hunger for success. His teammates have said about him that he is a fierce competitor that is always looking to win.

Henen’s well-planned ambitions for the future also include- becoming the biggest transfer export to come out of Belgium and to become the youngest player to debut international for the senior Belgium squad.

Current situation

Henen currently needs to focus on his success with Anderlecht and achieve his dream of making it to the senior squad.

The teen has appeared internationally for Belgium at both U-15 and U-16 level, scoring 7 goals in only 11 international matches!

Several top-class clubs have been following Henen’s development over the years, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Ajax leading the rumour mills. It will probably take some time in order for Henen to finally make his move, but when he will- it will surely be to a big club.
