Wahh, umurnya masih 16 tahun tingginya uda 185 yah? mantabb deh!! Mending mengembangkan pemain muda begini (Coll) drpada Cole :D mantepnya nih pemain ditaruh di U-18 nya MU, bareng ama Zieler plus Woods. MU emang punya banyak Talented Young Goalkeepers nih... Moga aja dia bisa jadi The next Shay Given bahkan lebih, soalnya saya jg fans nya Given :D. bakal resmi bergabung tanggal 5 juli nih, mantabb. (source : manutdBuzz) Quote:

Re: Reserves and Academy Transfer 2010-2011
Mungkin penilaian dr coaching staff United ngebuat mereka ga bs dapetin tmpat di tim reserves lg musim depan yah.
Nama" sperti King, Keane, dan masi bnyk lg pasti bakal rebutan tempat. Intinya salah bersaing aja mungkin mereka. :) |
Re: Reserves and Academy Transfer 2010-2011
Brandy terlalu "mungil" untuk ukuran Liga Inggris yg mengandalkan fisik . Berkarir d Championship atau League One / Two merupakan opsi yg logis untuk diri nya ... :peace:
Kok gak ada kabar isu transfer masuk pemain muda yg diminati United ya ?? Seperti Pogba musim lalu atau Petrucci 2 musim yg lalu ??? :nohope: |
Re: Reserves and Academy Transfer 2010-2011
Menurutku keputusan MU sudah tepat. Pemaen2 yang dilepas tidak cukup bagus buat maen di MU. Mungkin disaat muda mereka berprospek tapi seiring waktu perkembangan mereka tidak terlalu bagus. Sukses buat brandy cs. Moga karirnya lancar di klub laen.

Re: Reserves and Academy Transfer 2010-2011
Iya nih, kabarnya Pogba yg sempet jadi kontroversi, dan Petrucci yg sempet d Protes Roma, kok ngga ada kabar? Jangan sampe tragedi Tosic terulang kembali :devil2:

Re: Reserves and Academy Transfer 2010-2011
Youngster yg dilepas bukannya tidak berkualitas, namun krn faktor development dimana terlalu banyak pemain namun tidak semuanya dapat bermain penuh...youth development akan mati kalo para youngster tetep dipertahanin, makanya diperlukan balance squad...direlease bisa aja membuat pemain berkembang dibanding duduk d bench atau pemain yg mentok karirnya krn nga dpt tempat...

nickogs20 on June 24, 2010 http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...ian_brandy.jpg United have confirmed that Febian Brandy, Tom Heaton, Sam Hewson, Scott Moffatt and Ron-Robert Zieler will be leaving the club upon the expiry of their contracts next week. Today’s announcement contained no real surprises, with all five players having been expected to move on this summer. Goalkeepers Heaton and Zieler have already secured free transfers to Cardiff City and Hannover 96 respectively, while Brandy and Hewson have been listed on the PFA Transfer List for several weeks. Moffatt meanwhile struggled to make an impact last season, featuring just four times for the reserves. The departures of Brandy and Hewson in particular offer food for thought for those attempting to forecast the next big things coming through the ranks at Carrington. Hotly-tipped to break through after playing key roles in the Reds’ FA Youth Cup run and Champions Youth Cup success in 2007, both have seen younger players jump ahead of them in the pecking order after enduring a series of relatively unproductive spells out on loan and will now be seeking to kickstart their careers elsewhere, with there likely to be a number of potential suitors in the Football League. Messrs Heaton and Zieler have the security of contracts signed and sealed and ready to come into effect on July 1st, and while neither will join their new club as first choice, they will have every opportunity to compete for the starting job in goal. With Cardiff perennial challengers for promotion to the Premier League and Hannover surviving last year in the ever-improving Bundesliga, the future looks bright for the young shot-stoppers. For the injury-hit Moffatt, a disappointing lack of playing time over the last two years may make his task of finding a new club a tricky one, but Altrincham boss Graham Heathcote praised the Mancunian right-back after his brief loan spell at Moss Lane last season, perhaps an indicator that he may attract interest from clubs around that level. Best of luck to Febian, Sam, Scott, Tom and Ron-Robert in their future careers. McCullough confirms United move
http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...ugh-mar-10.jpg Posted by nickogs20 on June 29, 2010 Northern Ireland U17 captain Luke McCullough has confirmed that he has signed a two-year scholarship contract with United and will join up with the Reds for the imminent start of pre-season training. The Portadown youngster has been a regular triallist at Carrington over the past couple of years and was rumoured to have agreed to scholarship terms earlier this year. The club should be announcing details of the new intake of first year academy scholars in the next couple of weeks, but McCullough has pre-empted that in an interview with UTV News. “It’s any boy’s dream to get any club across the water but to get United, it’s an added bonus,” said the 16 year-old, despite his boyhood allegiance towards a certain other North West side who wear red (“I’ll just have to forget about Liverpool for now“). The talented young centre-half swells the number of Northern Irish players at Old Trafford to six, joining a quintet of fellow youth internationals (Craig Cathcart, Conor Devlin, Corry Evans, Joe Dudgeon and Oliver Norwood) and an ideal role model in the form of countryman and fellow defender Jonny Evans. “Definitely someone to look up to“, McCullough says of the Reds first-teamer. “It’s a great achievement for somebody from Northern Ireland to be a regular at Manchester United.“ McCullough won’t be the only new recruit heading across the Irish Sea this summer, with 16 year-old Donegal goalkeeper Joe Coll having signed scholarship forms back in March. Four United schoolboys are also thought to have been taken on as scholars, with U16 captain Luke Hendrie and England youth defender Tyler Blackett likely to be among that number. LUKE MCCULLOUGH FACTFILE Date of birth: 15.2.94 Place of birth: Portadown, Northern Ireland Position: Centre-back International Honours: Northern Ireland U17 captain Previous Clubs/Teams: Dungannon Swifts, County Armagh, Portadown College Awards: 2009 Bertie Peacock Award Winner for Best County Player at the Northern Ireland Milk Cup |

Seven new scholars announced
Posted by nickogs20 on July 2, 2010 With pre-season training set to get underway next week, the full list of new first-year academy scholars has been revealed. The seven new names were confirmed in a series of tweets (1, 2, 3) from United in-house journalist Ben Hibbs. The majority of the seven were already known but there were a couple of surprises, most notably the presence of two goalkeepers in the new intake, a rare sight and something that – with Sam Johnstone entering his second year – should ensure fierce competition for the number one jersey in the U18s this coming season. Here’s what we know so far about the seven new hopefuls*… TYLER BLACKETT Defender Born 2nd April 1994 in Manchester http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...erblackett.jpg Born and raised in Manchester, Tyler has been on United’s books since the age of eight, having been spotted playing for the renowned Fletcher Moss Rangers junior club in Didsbury (also the starting point in Wes Brown’s career). Most at home at centre-back, where his height, strength and pace make him a formidable opponent, Tyler can also play at full-back – indeed, his solitary appearance for the U18s thus far saw him impress at left-back in a draw with Sheffield Wednesday earlier this year, and with the plethora of central defenders available to Paul McGuinness, the wide positions may initially be his best route into the side. United fan Tyler attended the same Urmston school as academy team-mate Ravel Morrison and has represented England at U16 level (appearing in last year’s successful Victory Shield campaign), although he also remains eligible to play for Jamaica or Barbados through family ties. JOE COLL Goalkeeper Born 2nd February 1994 in Meenlaragh, County Donegal, Ireland http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...os/joecoll.jpg Joe signed for the Reds back in March after Sir Alex Ferguson and academy director Brian McClair went to great lengths to secure the much-coveted keeper’s services in the face of competition from a host of Premier League clubs. Hailing from Meenlaragh in County Donegal, Irish-speaking Joe has played for local side Glenea United since the age of six and has been capped eight times by his country at Under-16 level, impressing enough to be somewhat predictably tagged ‘the new Shay Given’. A big Celtic fan (United are his favourite English side), Joe’s biggest goalkeeping influence is Bhoys stopper Artur Boruc. Standing 6’1″ tall, the left-footed Irishman has ideal height for his position, especially considering his age, and boasts terrific reflexes, attributes shown when the 16 year-old appeared for the academy while on trial in last October’s friendly match against Maltese side Hibernians. CHARNI EKANGAMENE Forward Born 16th February 1994 in Antwerp, Belgium http://www.rafc.be/images/jpeg/news_...0081116_01.jpg United beat perennial title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea to the punch (as well as Dutch giants Ajax) when snapping up Charni Ekangamene from affiliate club Royal Antwerp in March 2009. A versatile young attacker with strength and pace in abundance, Antwerp youth coach Alex Verveckken has described Charni as “a great talent”, going on to add that the teenager “is mentally strong and never nervous.” Belgian-born but of Congolese descent, Charni moved to Manchester earlier this year after turning 16 and made a surprising late-season appearance in the reserves’ 1-0 defeat at Wigan. He was unable to make much of an impression in a 15-minute cameo that day but will be given every chance to impress over the next couple of seasons. LUKE HENDRIE Midfielder Born 27th August 1994 in Leeds http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...ukehendrie.jpg Son of former Bradford City and Middlesbrough forward John and second cousin of former Aston Villa and England midfielder Lee, Luke comes from a real footballing family. Having started out with his boyhood club Bradford, where his younger brother Jordan remains on the books, talented all-round athlete Luke followed in the footsteps of Tom Cleverley in making the move from the Bantams to Old Trafford and has regularly impressed at U15 and U16 level, notably as captain at last year’s Manchester United Premier Cup. Primarily a central midfielder with an eye for goal and strong all-round game, Luke also showed his versatility when making his debut for England U16s against Wales last autumn in an unfamiliar right-back role. His final schoolboy season was cut short by a serious foot injury, but having already done enough to secure a scholarship, Luke should be fully fit and ready to go as pre-season training gets underway. LIAM JACOB Goalkeeper Born 18th August 1994 in Sydney, Australia Very much the mystery man of the new intake, Sydney-raised Liam is a graduate of the Australian city’s International Goalkeeper Academy and originally moved to England with Liverpool after a successful trial in late 2008. He appeared for the Merseyside club’s U18 and reserve sides last season aged just fifteen but also spent time on trial with United, during which he was an unused substitute in the U18s’ 2-0 win over Sunderland in March. While Liam is definitely something of an unknown quantity, United’s decision to hand the reportedly-6’3″ stopper a scholarship despite having already signed a first-year ‘keeper in the form of Joe Coll earlier in the year suggests the club felt they couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to bring the young Aussie into the fold. The competition for the number one jersey at U18 level figures to be an intriguing aspect of the coming campaign. TOM LAWRENCE Forward D.O.B. unknown, born in Wrexham, Wales http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...omlawrence.jpg A lively, talented attacker comfortable both in a forward role or in midfield, Tom has been on United’s books for a number of years and has impressed at a number of youth tournaments, including Marveld and the Manchester United Premier Cup. Included in the U18 squad that travelled to Malta for a training camp last October, the Welsh teenager made the most of his opportunity by getting on the scoresheet in the 3-1 friendly win over Hibernians FC. A Welsh Under-17 international, the Wrexham-born youngster scored on his debut for his country in a defeat to a Basque County U18 side back in February and has this week been named in the squad for a friendly tournament against Sweden later this month. LUKE MCCULLOUGH Centre-back Born 15th February 1994 in Portadown, Northern Ireland http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...mccullough.jpg Already a first-teamer in the Irish League for Dungannon Swifts and captain of the Northern Ireland U17 side, Luke joins the Reds with a burgeoning reputation after his performances for club and country. Hailing from Portadown, the 16 year-old right-sided centre-back boosts the Northern Irish contingent at United to seven and has been compared with first-team star Jonny Evans due to his maturity and composure on the ball, with NI’s U17 boss stating that he “could be in the senior side very soon.” Luke has starred at the Northern Ireland Milk Cup for County Armagh and impressed at Carrington during a number of trial spells, and while he’s a self-confessed Liverpool fan, so were Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and John O’Shea – if Luke fares half as well, United fans will have no cause for concern… *All information (particularly birthdates and birthplaces) to the best of our knowledge, and subject to confirmation/clarification from MUFC in due course. Young duo turn pro as Vermijl signing confirmed
Posted by nickogs20 on July 4, 2010 http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...jl_marnick.jpg United have confirmed the signing of Belgian teenager Marnick Vermijl from Standard Liege and the award of professional contracts to goalkeeper Conor Devlin and striker John Cofie. We brought news of Vermijl’s signing back in March and the club have now officially confirmed the arrival of the 18 year-old defender. No further details have been given, but assuming the information back in March was correct, Vermijl joins on a three-year deal worth €100,000 a year, with United paying Standard €220,000. Versatile enough to play anywhere across the back-line, the teenager is highly-rated in his homeland and his progress this season – most likely as part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reserve squad – will be extremely interesting to monitor. Devlin being handed a professional contract is no surprise, the Northern Irishman having impressed over his two-year scholarship. After 36 appearances for the academy, the 18 year-old keeper will move up to reserve level this season and will expect to substantially build on his two appearances under Solskjaer so far, with the number one jersey for the second string very much his to lose. Cofie turning pro is a little more unexpected, the Ghana-born forward being only a year into his scholarship and having had an up-and-down first full season in the U18s, but with the majority of his fellow new second years having signed pro forms already, his new deal is further evidence of just how highly-rated this particular crop is. |

16/07/2010 15:12, Report by Ben Hibbs
Preston swoop for Gray http://picsrv.manutd.com/?fif=/manu/...16689&cvt=jpeg Scottish defender David Gray has joined Preston North End on a free transfer. The 22-year-old spent six years at United, progressing through the ranks from the Academy to the Reserves, and joins Darren Ferguson's side on a two-year deal. Speaking to the official PNE website, Gray said: "I have been on loan for the last two seasons and now I have got a permanent move which I think I will enjoy. "Preston have always been a solid Championship side for as long as I can remember. There are great traditions and it is a big club." Gray will see a familiar face at Deepdale - young United midfielder Matty James joined the Lilywhites on a season-long loan deal earlier this month. Lagi ya pemain dilepas gabung ke PNE, setw gw ini si Gray sering dimainin sama Opa kalo Piala Carling/friendly match gt. Mungkin kalah bersaing sm nama lain ya. Good Luck gray! :muscarf: |

Craig Cathcart makes makes Seasiders switch - £500k deal seals move from Old Trafford
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/...96_468x462.jpg Manchester United defender Craig Cathcart is joining Premier League newcomers Blackpool in a £500,000 deal. Pool boss Ian Holloway failed with a £350,000 offer for Cathcart, 21, last week but has had an improved bid accepted. Northern Ireland international Cathcart has been with United since he was 14 but failed to notch a single first-team appearance and has been loaned out to Watford and Plymouth. Holloway is also hopeful of completing deals for Derby striker Rob Hulse and Swansea front man Stephen Dobie this week. Chairman Karl Oyston said: 'Various deals are being accepted and players are having medicals so with a bit of luck there will be one or two additions.' Dailymail |

Santos to sign Possebon
United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon is set to join Brazilian club Santos. The deal is still in progress and is expected to be completed on Friday 20 August, but the two-times FIFA Club World Cup winners are keen to herald Possebon's imminent arrival. A story on the Santos website on Thursday night (UK time) spoke of a four-year deal and the player, born in Brazil but an Italy U20 international, is quoted as saying: "It is a unique opportunity and I will work hard to give my best here. I hope to play a lot of football." Possebon, now 21, joined United in January 2008 from Brazilian side Internacional and made his first-team debut as a substitute on the opening day of the 2008/09 season. Since then, however, he has managed just eight first-team appearances, although he's often impressed for the Reserves. He spent the first half of last season on loan at Sporting Braga in Portugal before returning to Old Trafford in January 2010. ................. kasian bocah ini.. sebelum cedera karna tekel horor Pogatez.. doi sempet menjadi bintang.... sayang cedera bikin rusak semua impiannya... mudah mudahan doi bisa bangkit lagi di Santos... Good luck Rodrigo....... http://s.glbimg.com/es/ge/f/original...bon_gcom30.jpg |

Carlisle Utd sign the 'new David Beckham' from Man Utd
16 September 2010 http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/polopol...2919181760.jpg Carlsle United have swooped to sign Manchester United midfield prodigy Oliver Norwood - a player described as a “genius” by his international boss and dubbed the new David Beckham. Blues manager Greg Abbott today moved to capture the 19-year-old Northern Ireland set-piece expert on a one-month loan deal after it was revealed that captain Paul Thirlwell will be out for up to four weeks with a knee injury. Norwood, who made his full international debut last month despite never having made a league appearance for any club, could go straight into the side for unbeaten United’s home clash with Brighton tomorrow after training with his new team-mates for the first time. The playmaker follows fellow Red Devil loanee James Chester to Brunton Park and is further evidence of United’s burgeoning relationship with the Old Trafford giants. Abbott’s friendship with their reserve team coach and former Hull team-mate Warren Joyce paved the way for Chester’s pre-season arrival and now the loan window signing of Norwood. The teenager, who has been on Manchester United’s books since the age of seven, is known for his dead-ball expertise and admits he models himself on Beckham. “I take a bag of balls out onto the training ground on my own, set up the mannequins and take a few free-kicks,” Norwood said. “I’ve read David Beckham’s books. I think it’s fantastic what he’s achieved and it makes you realise if you put the work in and practice just what you can achieve. “You can’t always be coached, sometimes you’ve got to do it yourself.” Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington, who brought Norwood off the bench for his first full cap on August 11 in a 2-0 friendly defeat in Montenegro, has described the young midfielder as a big star of the future. “The lad is a genius,” said Worthington. “He is going to be a very good player. What he can do with the ball from free-kicks is remarkable. You always know that eight or nine times out of 10, he is going to score when he places the ball for a free-kick.” Burnley-born Norwood represented England at youth levels but qualifies for Northern Ireland through his grandparents and opted to play for their Under-19, Under-21 and ‘B’ sides before making his full debut. “I think a lot of the lads who go away with England have got massive egos,” said Norwood,” explaining his decision. “I think that takes over sometimes. With the Northern Ireland lads that they are all down to earth and only bothered about the football side of things. “If I was still with England I’d only be in the under-19 squad. I wouldn’t get anywhere near the under-21 squad because all those guys are in the first-team squads at their clubs. I’ve committed myself and I’m happy with the decision.” Abbott spoke of his delight at Norwood’s arrival and is expecting big things from the youngster. The United manager said: “Oliver is one we have known about for a while and the fact he has been selected at international level shows the quality that he has. “He has had a fantastic morning in training and he is one we are really looking forward to working with.” Norwood could come into the side to face Gus Poyet’s Brighton as a straight replacement for Thirlwell, who was today told he had suffered a medial ligament sprain in his knee. The 31-year-old skipper, who has been in influential form in Abbott’s ‘diamond’ midfield system, suffered the injury in the first minute of last Saturday’s 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday but played on and completed the game. If the United boss opts not to start Norwood against the Seagulls he could instead call up Peter Murphy, Ben Marshall or Matty Robson. Kevan Hurst and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson are again set to miss out as they continue their comebacks from injury. |

Selamat jalan Eikrem....
Sampai bertemu lg, dengan Ole jg tentunya ;) Eikrem follows Solskjaer to Molde By Chris, January 15 2011 | Manutdweb Midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem has followed Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to Molde FK. The 20-year-old has signed a permanent deal with the Norwegian club, having failed to register a senior appearance for Manchester United. The closest Eikrem got to a first-team appearance for United was as an unused substitute in a third-round League Cup win over Wolves. Often earmarked as the creative spark in United's reserve-team midfield, Eikrem has Manchester Senior Cup and Lancashire Senior Cup medals and is regarded by many as being an excellent prospect for the future. Solskjaer was a keen admirer of the attack-minded playmaker and has moved quickly to snap him up at Molde. 37-year-old Solskjaer recently quit at United reserve-team boss to become manager of is former club. |
