Puskas Award: Final trio confirmed
http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/v...7_FULL-LND.jpg Three of the biggest names in world football made it onto the final list for the FIFA Puskas Award 2011, with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Wayne Rooney all in contention. Now it's up to you the FIFA.com users to decide which of the stellar trio should receive the trophy at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala at the Kongresshaus in Zurich on 9 January 2012. Messi's stroke of genius in Barcelona's UEFA Champions League match against Arsenal provided yet further proof of the Argentinian's class. After ghosting past two Gunners defenders, the diminutive forward looped the ball over goalkeeper Manuel Almunia before finishing with an emphatic volley. Brazilian youngster Neymar's solo strike in Santos' 5-4 defeat by Flamengo was similarly breathtaking. The whirlwind 19-year-old left a string of opponents in his wake before applying a clinical finish to put his side 3-0 ahead. England international Rooney's overhead kick for Manchester United in the derby against Manchester City was undoubtedly one of the most spectacular goals in the history of the Premier League and is another worthy candidate for the FIFA Puskas Award 2011. Relive each of the goals on FIFA.com and vote for your favourite now! Code:

Neymar Takes Home Big Honour at FIFA Award Ceremony
Neymar’s Slick ‘Slalom’ Goal vs Flamengo Named FIFA Goal Of The Year 2011
It wasn’t a particularly strong field for one reason or another but, after whittling their 10-strong shortlist down to a final three, FIFA saw fit to hand their Puskas Award for the best goal scored during 2011 to Santos wunderkind Neymar for his fine fleet-footed ‘slalom’ effort against Flamengo back in July… A worthy winner no doubt, but not a patch on 2010′s Puskas pick; Hamit Altintop’s rip-roaring 25-yard volley against Kazahkstan. While we’re on the subject, Pies are in a position to offer you an quick update on Neymar’s road-warrior Mohawk… http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/v...II/Neymar2.jpg It’s worse than ever. Code:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – November 13, 2012 – Sweden v England – International Friendly The explosive striker scored an audacious bicycle kick from distance for Sweden, leaving the England defence rather bewildered. http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...psa860dee2.jpg Wonder: Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goal against England was immortalised in drawing by Paul Trevillion (below) http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps26c93fcc.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...psc0798b33.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...psdb23d345.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...psa68227e2.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...pse2cd019e.jpg http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps857669ac.jpg 5. Louisa Necib – March 17, 2013 - Olympique Lyonnais v AS Saint-Etienne - D1 Feminine The Lyon player runs with the ball into the heart of the Saint-Etienne defence before blasting the ball home from just outside the box before doing her best impression of Gareth Bale's celebration. 9.
