The demolition of White Hart Lane will begin the morning after Tottenham Hotspur face Manchester United this weekend.

Tottenham, who will play at Wembley Stadium for the 2017-18 season, are hopeful it will take three months for the Lane to be taken apart.

Spurs fans will bid farewell to their home of 118 years on Sunday, when Jose Mourinho’s United are the visitors.

Former Tottenham players and staff are set to be paraded on the pitch following the full-time whistle of the Premier League match.

Work on the demolition will then start on Monday morning with Tottenham wanting to move into their new 61,559-seater stadium for the start of the 2018-19 season.

Spurs’ stars will also wear a special commemorative shirt for the United match.

Tottenham have released images which shows the incredible height of the new stands

Tottenham are due to move into the new stadium at the start of the 2018/19 season

The top will include a special White Hart Lane crest as well as the the words: "Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United, 14th May 2017".

In addition to the new home kit, the team will warm up in a special edition training top, which bears the names of both sponsor AIA and the Tottenham Tribute Trust.

All proceeds from the sale of the kit will go towards the Tottenham Tribute Trust.

Tottenham supporters will be able to continue with their usual matchday routine
