Default Re: Faustino Marcos Alberto Rojo

Lebih baik dilepas saja Rojo, hehehe..

OLE PROVIDES UPDATE ON ROJO'S SITUATION

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained why Marcos Rojo is unlikely to feature for Manchester United again this season.

The Argentina international returned to his homeland in January to sign for Estudiantes on loan, joining the likes of Dean Henderson (Sheffield United), Joel Pereira (Hearts), Alexis Sanchez (Inter Milan) and Chris Smalling (Roma) in spending time away from the club on a temporary basis.

Things have obviously not gone to plan for the defender as the coronavirus crisis has taken a grip across the globe, and the repercussions caused by the pandemic mean he is remaining in South America for the time being.

Although Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams picked up knocks against Southampton, ensuring they must be assessed before the trip to Crystal Palace, and centre-backs Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are sidelined, there appears little prospect of Rojo returning to the first-team squad.

“Marcos has been in lockdown over there [in La Plata], so they've not played either,” explained Ole.

“At the moment, I can't see him coming back here over the summer, obviously because we live in this bubble, and we've got this squad available until next season.

“So he just needs to focus on getting fit and staying fit and being ready for wherever that takes him.“

Rojo joined the club in 2014 from Sporting Lisbon and made nine appearances in the first team in 2019/20, prior to his loan move.

The 30-year-old's last outing for the Reds came in the 3-1 home victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in November.
