Evra and Fellaini on duty
Manchester United stars Patrice Evra and Marouane Fellaini gained valuable minutes on the pitch on Sunday night, as both France and Belgium were involved in World Cup warm-up matches.
Evra played the full 90 minutes in Les Bleus' 1-1 draw with Paraguay that featured late goals from both sides, while Fellaini came on for the closing stages in Belgium's 2-0 win over Sweden. Adnan Januzaj was an unused substitute.
France dominated in Nice but took until the 82nd minute to break the deadlock through substitute Antoine Griezmann. That looked to have sealed the win until Paraguay's Victor Caceres capitalised on lax France defending with just 60 seconds remaining.
Meanwhile, in Sweden, Fellaini entered the fray on 79 minutes to replace Eden Hazard after the winger netted a stunning goal to put Belgium 2-0 up. Earlier, fellow Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku had given Marc Wilmots' side the lead with a similarly spectacular strike.*
Belgium, many fans' outside tip for the World Cup, complete their preparations for the tournament with a match in Brussels against Tunisia next Saturday 7 June. France are next in action again on Sunday 8 June when they host Jamaica in Lille.
