Default Re: Pengganti De Gea ? (jika beneran pindah)

'David de Gea makes big mistakes that cost Manchester United big points... if they want to challenge for titles, they need a new goalkeeper': Roy Keane urges Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to axe Spaniard and find new No 1

* Roy Keane doubled down on belief Manchester United must axe David de Gea
* The 29-year-old goalkeeper endured a campaign littered with glaring mistakes
* Despite De Gea's clean sheet on Sunday, Keane was once again in withering form
* Errors against Watford, Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea have led to speculation

Roy Keane has urged Manchester United to replace David de Gea this summer if they are to challenge for the Premier League title.

The 29-year-old has endured a mixed campaign, which has been littered with several high-profile mistakes, and speculation is rife over whether he will retain his spot as the club's first choice goalkeeper.

But despite De Gea recording his 13th clean sheet of the campaign after United beat Leicester to clinch a place in the Champions League, Old Trafford legend Keane was once again withering in his comments.

Glaring errors against Watford, Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea have raised serious questions over De Gea's future - and United were duly punished on all four occasions after failing to win.

Another display of poor handling at the King Power on Sunday almost saw them concede cheaply again, but De Gea was able to recover to deny Jamie Vardy from opening the scoring.

When questioned after the game about United's transfer business, Keane was adamant De Gea must be axed to help close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool.

Roy Keane urged Manchester United to replace David de Gea to challenge for the league title. The Old Trafford great has been withering in criticism of De Gea's performances this season. De Gea had almost committed another error against Leicester on Sunday but recovered well

He told Sky Sports: 'I've never been a big fan of his. He makes far too many mistakes, big mistakes that cost United big points.

'We talk about recruitment, it's a difficult part of the game. That's just my opinion. If Manchester United want to challenge for league titles, they need a better goalkeeper.

'They need a change, they've done it before. I don't know what the big song and dance is about a goalkeeper, Manchester United have been doing it for years.

The 29-year-old star's future is uncertain after committing a string of high-profile mistakes. Keane sensationally raged he would have been 'throwing punches' at De Gea after the mistake

'Strikers are dropped or sold, same with midfielders, but for some reason, with goalkeepers, they think we have to stick with the goalkeeper for a bit longer than others because of something they did two or three years ago.

'The game doesn't work like that. We've seen Liverpool get onto another level when they've improved the goalkeeper.

'What's the big deal? If he's not doing it, he's making mistakes, then make a change. There are good goalkeepers out there.'

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has remained steadfast in his defence of the Spain international despite his remarkable drop in form, but admitted he had considered dropping him for the tail end of the season.

It may prove difficult for United to find a buyer should they decide to heed former captain Keane's advice considering his exorbitant salary, and the club must also solve the conundrum concerning loanee Dean Henderson.

The outspoken Irishman also infamously raged that he would have been 'swinging punches' at De Gea after the stopper had failed to smother Steven Bergwijn's powerful effort in June.
