Manchester United preparing to swoop for West Ham starlet Reece Oxford
- Reece Oxford impressed for West Ham throughout the season
- Jose Mourinho was appointed Manchester United manager on Friday
- Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested in Oxford
West Ham are bracing themselves for a formal offer from Manchester United for wonderkid Reece Oxford.
United remain firmly interested in the teenager following the arrival of Jose Mourinho as boss.
And the Hammers believe a bid for the defender will arrive sooner rather than later, even as early as this week.
West Ham want £10million for Oxford, but Sportsmail understands the Old Trafford club are prepared to pay in-excess of that sum to secure the teenager.
Oxford, who has two years remaining on his contract, made 12 appearances for Slaven Bilic's side last season.
The 17-year-old, who can play at centre back or in midfield, starred in West Ham’s opening day win against Arsenal at the beginning of the season.
Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested in the Hammers youngster.
