Man Utd legends pick their best ever team-mate – can you guess who they ALL choose?
MANCHESTER UNITED legends Ryan Giggs, Gary and Phil Neville all had the same answer to the greatest footballer they’ve played alongside.
The iconic trio were part of United’s famous Class of ’92 and during their careers played alongside the likes of Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Bryan Robson and Cristiano Ronaldo.
But one name kept cropping up after they were asked to pick their ultimate team-mate.
Giggs went for Paul Scholes and Ronaldo, Phil Neville went for “Giggsy and Ronaldo,” while brother Gary chose Keane, Giggs and Scholes.
When pushed to choose one player between them, they all went with Scholes.
“As a player, he was on the same wavelength as you,” Giggs said.
“You just never had to break stride with his passes whether it be 10 yards, whether it be 40 yards. He was just always pinpoint. Perfect.”
“If Scholes was Spanish or Brazilian he would be talk about as one of the greatest,” one wrote.
Another wrote: “A true legend of club and world.”
But others weren’t so sure, with one commenting: “Scholes is now to be awarded the most over rated player of all time.”
