Aaron Wan-Bissaka hits the jackpot! Crystal Palace star to bag 1,000 PER CENT pay rise at Manchester United when he pens £80,000-a-week deal

* Aaron Wan-Bissaka is close to a move from Crystal Palace to Manchester United
* Defender will scoop a 1,000 per cent pay rise when he completes dream move
* He will earn up to £80,000 a week – a huge leap from his current £8,000-a-week deal at Crystal Palace

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will scoop a whopping 1,000 per cent pay rise when he completes his dream move to Manchester United this week.

The Crystal Palace right back travelled north on Wednesday night for the first part of his medical and the transfer is expected to be ratified in the next 24 hours.

United claim they have agreed a deal worth up to £50million for Wan-Bissaka, but sources insist the deal is closer to the £60m mark with incentives included.

Either way, it makes Wan-Bissaka one of the world's most expensive defenders. The 21-year-old will pen a deal worth up to £80,000 a week – an incredible leap from his £8,000-a-week pay at Selhurst Park.

Negotiations between the two clubs included a proposal from Palace to reduce or remove the 25 per cent sell-on clause that United secured when they sold Wilfried Zaha back to the London club, but the clause remains unchanged.

Zaha wishes to leave to play in the Champions League, but Palace have been clear they would not sell both Zaha and Wan-Bissaka this summer. Arsenal want Zaha, but they are unlikely to meet Palace's £80m valuation.
