Default Re: [EPL] Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Manchester United

Manchester United stars received rude awakening after hotel fire alarm went off TWICE before their Wolves defeat

* Manchester United's pre-match sleep was disrupted twice on Tuesday afternoon
* The hotel fire alarm went off twice prior to the Premier League clash with Wolves
* The Red Devils went on to lose the game 2-1 at Molineux later that night

Manchester United’s pre-match sleep was disrupted on Tuesday afternoon when the hotel fire alarm went off — twice.

United gave a tired performance as they lost 2-1 at Wolves, a defeat that put a dent in their hopes of a top-four finish.

They were staying at the £85-a-night four-star Mount Hotel Country Manor, in Tettenhall, near Wolverhampton, prior to the game.

Manchester United's pre-match sleep was disrupted twice prior to their defeat to Wolves. The hotel fire alarm went off twice as the players tried to rest before their game at Molineux

Players checked in at 9pm on Monday for their overnight stay and prepared for the evening kick-off at Molineux with a customary afternoon nap on Tuesday.

However, their peace was disturbed when the hotel’s fire alarms went off at around 2.30pm and 3pm.

Staff apologised but it did little to help United’s preparations. Striker Marcus Rashford had been sent home from the hotel earlier in the afternoon suffering from a heavy cold as well as needing further treatment for his ankle injuries.
