Manchester United forward Anthony Martial a doubt for Saturday's derby against Manchester City
* Anthony Martial was not in the squad for Wednesday's victory against Tottenham
* The French forward picked up an injury against Aston Villa on Sunday
* Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he will be out for 'a little while'
Anthony Martial is doubtful for Saturday's derby against Manchester City, with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirming the striker would be out for 'a little while'.
The Frenchman missed Wednesday's 2-1 victory against Tottenham, in which his strike partner Marcus Rashford scored twice in his absence.
And after he was substituted 82nd minute during Sunday's draw versus Aston Villa, Solskjaer confirmed he didn't know whether Martial would be fit for this Saturday's match at the Etihad.
Anthony Martial looks distressed after his substitution against Aston Villa with an injury
Asked if Martial would be fit for Saturday, Solskjaer said after the victory against Spurs: 'I'm not sure. I don't know.'
Before the game, the United boss confirmed the 23-year-old had picked up an injury against Villa.
'Anthony got a slight injury on Sunday,' Solskjaer told MUTV.
'So he will be out for a little while.'
It's been a tough season for Martial so far, with just three goals in nine Premier League appearances.
In Martial's absence, 18-year-old Mason Greenwood deputised for Martial, with Rashford thriving as he cut in regularly from a position on the left-hand side on Wednesday night.
It was a welcome win for Solskjaer against former United manager Jose Mourinho, ahead of a Manchester derby where the Red Devils go into the clash 11 points behind their city neighbours.
