United photographer Craig Norwood is the best source when it comes to transfer news. This way, the club apparently allows him to 'leak' the new arrivals before they are officially announced.
On Monday, Norwood revealed that Fred is about become a United player: "Fred Rodrigues completed his United medical at Carrington today, final paperwork to be signed before official announcement in the next 24-hours. Fred being the first signing coming into Old Trafford this summer."

Norwood also confirmed that Porto full-back Diogo Dalot is set for a medical as well: "Diogo Dalot will be the second with a medical pencilled in for the next 48-hours."
Fred's release clause is believed to be in the region of €60 million. Jose Mourinho would love his summer business done early, something he always reiterates.
