Default Re: [EPL] Manchester United vs Sheffield United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could give Paul Pogba his first start for Man United in 10 MONTHS against Sheffield United - and his first alongside star signing Bruno Fernandes

* Paul Pogba could be set to start Wednesday's game against Sheffield United
* It would be the Frenchman's first start for Manchester United in 10 months
* If he does start, it would be the first time he starts a match with Bruno Fernandes

Paul Pogba is in contention to start his first game for Manchester United in 10 months against Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

The World Cup winner is fit again after recovering from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined since Boxing Day.

He impressed coming on as a second half substitute against Tottenham last week, winning the penalty that Bruno Fernandes dispatched to win a point for United.

And manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is giving serious consideration to handing Pogba a start against the Blades on Wednesday night, in a move that could see the Frenchman start with Fernandes for the first time.

Fred, Scott McTominay and Fernandes started in central midfield against Tottenham, but one will drop to the bench to accommodate Pogba - who hasn't started for United since a 1-1 draw against Arsenal on September 30, 2019.

Solskjaer recently declared Pogba 'one of the best players in the world.'

Paul Pogba could be in the starting lineup for Manchester United's game with Sheffield United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is giving consideration to the idea after Pogba impressed on Friday night. It would be Pogba's first start in 10 months, and his first ever alongside Bruno Fernandes

'He's delighted to be back on the pitch, he's had a nine, 10-month injury nightmare, it's not been like you're out for 10 months, it's like he's almost back.

'Now finally he's back playing, I'm sure everyone can see he's got great hunger for the game.

'It's a different team to the team he left behind. Bruno's coming in, the boys have got some more confidence. The boys need to trust themselves more and trust their own fitness.'

Manchester United are currently fifth in the table, but will be leapfrogged if the Blades manage to get a win.
