Dean Henderson has reportedly demanded an eye-watering new £75,000-a-week deal at Manchester United.

The England Under 21 goalkeeper is said to be confident that his wish to treble his wages will be met.

Henderson's howler on Friday night saw the Under 21s dumped out of the European Championship in a 4-2 defeat by Romania.

Dean Henderson has reportedly demanded a new £75,000-a-week deal at Manchester United

And now he wants a sign of commitment from United, report The Sun.

Henderson joined Old Trafford from Carlisle United eight years ago and is seen by Gareth Southgate as a potential rival for Jordan Pickford's No 1 shirt.

He is likely to remain on loan at Sheffield United this season after helping the Blades return to the Premier League.

Henderson has a year left on his current £25,000 per week deal and United have a further 12 – month option.

It comes after United confirmed the return of goalkeeper coach Richard Hartis.

Hartis worked with the academy and was also part of Sir Alex Ferguson's backroom team for decade.

He returns as Senior Goalkeeping Coach - but Emilio Alvarez, who was brought in by former boss Jose Mourinho, will remain.

'Richard is a fantastic goalkeeping coach and has a proven track record of developing goalkeepers for winning teams,' Solskjaer said.
