Default Re: United Injury News 2019/20

Man United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka was carrying back injury that ruled him out of England's upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers

* Aaron Wan-Bissaka was forced to withdraw from England squad with back issue
* Sportsmail understands the Man United defender had been carrying the injury
* United will have to manage his fitness after he suffered a recurrence of injury

Manchester United must manage Aaron Wan-Bissaka's fitness over the coming weeks as it emerged he was already carrying the back injury that ruled him out of England contention.

The £60million summer signing withdrew from the squad for the games against Bulgaria and Kosovo on Tuesday due to the back problem and Sportsmail understands the right back was already suffering with the injury going into his debut senior international get-together.

He suffered a recurrence of the problem during Tuesday's session and after being examined by England medical staff it was decided keeping him at St George's Park was not worth the risk.

Manchester United will have to manage Aaron Wan-Bissaka as he was carrying a back problem. The defender had to withdraw from the England squad ahead of their qualifiers this week

Wan-Bissaka has returned to Old Trafford for treatment and will be monitored over the next few days before deciding whether he can play against Leicester on Saturday week.

Wan-Bissaka has had a positive start to his career at Old Trafford and will be desperate to be available for the clash against the Foxes.

Meanwhile, England manager Gareth Southgate is keen to secure Tammy Abraham's international future and will consider an international call-up for the Chelsea star next month.

The Nigerian Football Federation has made another attempt to convince Abraham to play for them but it is understood the striker, who has scored four goals in two games, remains committed to trying to break into Gareth Southgate's senior squad.

Abraham has made two appearances for England under Southgate in friendlies against Germany and Brazil, but he is yet to make his competitive debut which would end Nigeria's hopes of securing him.

The 21-year-old narrowly missed out on the squad for Saturday's game against Bulgaria and next week's visit of Kosovo, but will be firmly on Southgate's radar for the Euro 2020 games Czech Republic and Bulgaria next month.
