Massimiliano Allegri has 'deal in place with a great English club and will reject return to Juventus and AC Milan’ amid interest from Manchester United

* Juventus are reportedly keen for their former manager to replace Maurizio Sarri
* But Massimiliano Allegri is holding out for a move to Manchester United
* Serie A club AC Milan are also keen to re-acquire Allegri's services
* Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure following a poor season so far

Massimiliano Allegri reportedly has a deal in place with a 'great English club' as rumours of a move to Manchester United gather pace.

Italian manager Allegri left Juventus at the end of last season, where he won five Serie A titles in as many years at the club.

However, with murmurs of Maurizio Sarri's job at Juve being under threat amid a poor recent run, Allegri has been linked with a return to both the Serie A holders and former club AC Milan though is set to reject both, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport.

The report details that the 52-year-old is Juventus' top target to replace Sarri in the hotseat.

However, Allegri is not keen on a return to the Old Lady, nor is he willing to go back to the San Siro and Milan.

Although a deal is in place with a Premier League club, it is unknown which side in particular, though Manchester United have been heavily linked with the Italian in the past.

Current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been under pressure all season as his side are currently six points off the Premier League top-four and lie eighth in the table.

Sportsmail reported last month that Allegri has been holding off on an immediate return to management in the hope of eventually taking over at Old Trafford.

He is the sort of high profile candidate United would look to hire should Solskjaer leave, alongside former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

It is believed Arsenal were dissuaded from approaching him in December as they searched for a manager to replace the sacked Unai Emery.
