Giggs for Wales (???)
selain santer berita Rooney di media, salah satu United player yg ikut menghiasi media2x saat ini adalah our living legend, Ryan Giggs
yaahh ..., Oom Giggs didengung-dengungkan untuk menjadi kandidat pelatih TimNas Wales ... gimana menurut teman2x sebagai United fans ... or mungkin jika kita memposisikan diri as walesman ... ?? silaken opininya ... ___________________________________________ Papers: Giggs stepping up? ManUtd.com - 07/09/2010 09:01 Wales set to approach Giggs The Football Association of Wales will speak to Manchester United this week about involving Ryan Giggs in their coaching set-up when manager John Toshack quits. Toshack is expected to confirm his departure this week, although he may agree to remain in charge for next month’s qualifying doubleheader against Bulgaria and Switzerland so as not to leave his country in the lurch. As revealed in Sportsmail yesterday, Toshack has recommended Giggs as his successor and the FAW now plan to try to lure the United winger into his first coaching role. Although it is highly unlikely Giggs will consider managing his country until his playing career is over —and would be discouraged from doing so by his club boss Sir Alex Ferguson - the FAW are understandably keen to get him involved. One possibility under discussion involves asking Giggs to be involved with a new - or caretaker - coach for the remainder of this international season. That would involve Giggs teaming up with Wales for matches and working in a new set-up but would not lumber him with the responsibility of scouting players or picking squads. Such an arrangement is much more likely to appeal to the former Wales captain, and indeed to United, at a time when Giggs is still trying to extend his playing days. Ian Ladyman, Daily Mail

Re: Giggs for Wales (???)
Menurut saya sih terlalu dini jika Ryan Giggs memutuskan menjadi pelatih timnas Wales.

@ Cak Roni :
Seandainya Giggs akhirnya memilih melatih Wales, bukankah dia harus punya sertifikat lisensi pelatih ? Kayaknya dia belum pernah ikut pelatihan deh ... Last edited by Andi Istiabudi; 08-09-2010 at 05:29 PM.. |

Re: Giggs for Wales (???)
Keep playing Ryan, says Danny
walesonline.co.uk - Sep 8 2010 DANNY Drinkwater believes his Manchester United teammate Ryan Giggs would prove a great manager for Wales – but insists the 36-year-old still has unfinished business on the pitch at Old Trafford. With John Toshack poised to quit as boss of the national side Giggs, a legend in his home country, is seen by many as the perfect man to lead the young Dragons forward. But despite his age, evergreen Giggs is still enjoying a fantastic playing career under Sir Alex Ferguson and it remains unclear if he would be willing now to hang up his boots. Drinkwater, who is on a season-long loan with the Bluebirds from United, said Giggs would be the perfect man to take charge of Wales and would prove a hit in the Welsh hot-seat having spent his career learning from the very best. “Ryan’s a great player and if he can take all that into the managerial side then that can only be a positive for Wales,” said 20-year-old Drinkwater. “I definitely think he would make a good manager. He’s got what it takes. He’s calm, he’s got all the attributes and he’s spent his career working under the best manager in the world in Sir Alex Ferguson. “I’m sure he’s picked a few tips off him. Ryan’s got a massive amount of experience and a great stature in the game and I think he could only help Wales. It’s a good combination, Wales is a big country and Ryan is a big personality.” But Drinkwater, who is himself enjoying a great start to the campaign under Bluebirds’ boss Dave Jones, said in his current form Giggs should keep playing and go in search of even more honours with United this season. “The thing is Ryan’s still a great player so I’m not sure if he would consider retirement now,” added Drinkwater. “When he is playing as well as he still is would he consider it now? I think his recent form means he should keep playing. “But when he does retire I think he will take the management route just because of the experience he has gained. “And he is a proud Welshman so I see no reason why that should not be with Wales.”

Re: Giggs for Wales (???)

biar ga OOT. saya kira tidak menutup kemungkinan dari sekian prestasi pelatih muda potensial setelah mereka pensiun gantung sepatu.. contoh : Pep Guardiola.. mudah²an setelah Om Giggsy melakukan partai terakhir testimonial Giggs memikirkan melatih squad muda United dulu kali ya, mengikuti jejak Ole.. |

Re: Giggs for Wales (???)
