Ada sedikit hiburan ternyata, memang di EPL gak ada satupun nama pemain United (musim lalu 4 malahan), ada sedikit hiburan bagi akademi melihat di Championship ada Danny Drinkwater yang terpilih sebagai Player of the Year dan kakak dari bek kiri tim reserve Matty James Young sebagai Player of the Year.

Kali pertama sejak tahun 1990 pemain United gak ada seorang pun yang masuk PFA team of the Year.

diving & kasus gigitan itu kan musim lalu. kalo gitu Suarez gak pernah akan dapat gelar pemain terbaik donk karena selalu dikaitkan dengan masa lalunya?
gw rasa pengumuman awards 2-3 game sebelum musim berakhir dah cukup menjelaskan/mewakili 1 musim tsb, bagaimana kontribusi pemain tsb buat tim. kalo pengumuman awardsnya pas tengah musim baru deh dikomplain. kayaknya harus usul ke PFA biar pengumuman awardsnya diakhir musim aja kayak Seri A

Ironis dimana dunia olahraga lagi kampanye berantas rasis, eh malah pelakunya dikasi penghargaan. Oke lupakan masa lalu orang, setiap orang berhak berubah, tapi coba baca link berita diatas.

Soal team of the year IMO pengumumannya memang terlalu cepat, gak kaya seri-A & liga eropa lainnya.

terkait kasus rasisme kan Suarez dah dapat hukumannya. terbaru kasus pelemparan pisang ke Alves, pihak Villareal sendiri akan menghukum penonton tsb tidak boleh masuk ke stadion seumur hidup cmiiw. jadi setiap kasus kan ada 'porsi' hukumannya sendiri. kan terlalu berat rasanya kalo seorang pemain trus melakukan tindak rasisme trus dihukum gak boleh maen seumur hidup dil liga tsb misalnya.
lagian awards tsb kan diberikan terhadap kontribusinya pada musim ybs. lalu apakah misalnya kalo misalnya Suarez ato pemain lain musim depan bisa cetak diatas 40-50 gol dalam semusim, membawa tim nya treble trus gara2 dulu pernah melakukan tindak rasisme jadinya mereka gak layak mendapatkan awards tsb? yg mendapatkan awards juga dipilih, yg milih juga ada pertimbangan sendiri kenapa mereka memilih Suarez u/ pemain terbaik musim ini. jadi kalo mo 'protes' yah salahin yg milih dah ......................

hahaha, emang gak bisa ambil lagi award yang sudah dikasi. Tapi biar ini jadi pelajaran buat FA, UEFA & FIFA kedepan. Masa cuma NBA saja yang berani, trus masa cuma penonton saja yang kena. Harusnya kedepan pemain yang rasis juga dihukum seumur hidup biar jera. Kalau enggak yah tinggal bikin lagi, jadi jago musim selanjutnya kaya Suarez biar orang kasi "pengampunan". Ironis!

Brendan Rodgers Named LMA Manager of the Year



A disappointing end to the Premier League season wasn't enough to discredit Brendan Rodgers' entire 2013-14 campaign, which earned him LMA Manager of the Year honors.

The Liverpool manager was given the award on Monday evening, as The Guardian's Daniel Taylor confirmed:

A year after finishing seventh in the EPL during his debut season with the Reds, Rodgers had his squad positioned to win the Premiership for much of the season before a late collapse against Crystal Palace essentially sealed the title for Manchester City.

Regardless, in terms of performance relative to resources, Rodgers was unmatched. He ended a string of four-consecutive campaigns at sixth or worse, notched the club's third top-two finish since the turn of the century and, as the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce added, set a bit of history:

Rodgers squeezed a Player of the Year campaign out of Luis Suarez—who was rumored many times before the season to have one foot out the door—continued the development of youngsters like Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson and exceeded the highest of expectations with Liverpool.

Alas, it's a bittersweet win for the 41-year-old, who had visions of hoisting a different piece of silverware and taking part in a different celebration, via Taylor:

That honor, of course, went to Manchester City, but Manuel Pellegrini was still nowhere near the top of the voting results—a surprising fact considering his success, as Taylor argued:

There wasn't exactly a shortage of viable candidates, though.

Sean Dyche helped Burnley earn promotion for the first time since 2010, Roberto Martinez nearly pushed Everton into the top four and Tony Pulis skyrocketed Crystal Palace to 11th place in their first season back in the Premiership.

It would be difficult, however, to make an argument against Rodgers, who turned Liverpool back into an elite contender atop England.

With a spot back in the Champions League and targets on their backs domestically, expectations will only increase for the Reds in 2014-15, but Rodgers has made it quite clear he's up to the task.

Although the summer transfer window will go a long way in altering the outlook of the upcoming season, Liverpool faithful should feel confident with the Northern Irishman at the helm.

Tony Pulis Named 2013-14 LMA Premier League Manager of the Year



Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has been named the Premier League Manager of the Year for 2013-14 after lifting the Eagles out of the bottom three and helping propel them to an impressive 11th-place finish in the Premier League.

Pulis took over last November after manager Ian Holloway agreed to part ways with Crystal Palace after less than a year at the helm. At the time, the Eagles were sitting on just four points in the league table. They would finish with 45.

Following Sunday's season finale against Fulham, Pulis talked about the memorable season, per BBC Sport:

"It's been remarkable," Pulis said. "I think if you look at the stats and everything else, it's just wonderful. The biggest stat is that we're the lowest budget in the Premiership, and we finished 11th. We've overachieved as a football club massively, and that's been great credit to everybody on the pitch."

The Sentinel's Lou Macari breaks down why he voted for Pulis:

Voting has just closed for manager-of-the-year and I went for Tony Pulis. I fancy he might win it, too, because members of the League Managers’ Association appreciate more what he did on a relative shoestring at Crystal Palace than what someone like title winner Manuel Pellegrini has done sitting on a fortune at Manchester City.

The 56-year-old Pulis made several notable moves during January's midseason transfer window that paid huge dividends over the second half of the season and led Crystal Palace to a club-record five consecutive top-flight wins from late-March to mid-April.

Pulis more than likely locked up Manager of the Year honors following the Eagles' stunning 3-3 draw with Liverpool at Selhurst Park on May 5. Crystal Palace trailed 3-0 through the first 78 minutes before scoring three goals in a nine-minute span to draw level and salvage a point at home.

Crystal Palace would finish the season with eight league wins at home, just one shy of 2012-13 Premier League champions Manchester United.

With two more years remaining on his current contract, Pulis will have an opportunity to improve upon his efforts next season.

Although 2014-15 will bring new challenges and lofty expectations for Crystal Palace, Pulis has proven that he can put together a competitive squad and get the most out of his players. Pulis clearly did a fantastic job of managing Peterborough United transfer Dwight Gayle and should rely on the confident striker next season.
