Apakah Thorpe yang baru aja juara MSC bareng reserve bakal dapat kesempatan? Dengan resminya Vermalen ke Barca berarti ada kemungkinan pas United vs Swansea United blom ketambahan CB baru. Sejauh ini blom ada kabar2 lagi United mulai nego CB baru. Melihat hal itu plus selisih hari dengan start BPL yg cuma 3 hari bisa jadi peluang Thorpe buat unjuk gigi. Bisa jadi LVG nggak akan memaksakan trio CB seniornya yg punya catatan cedera buat main full. Klo benar gitu maka trio CB muda Thorpe, Keane dan Blackett punya kesempatan.

Mungkin aja pemain muda lebih banyak dapat porsi dimatch ini tapi bisa jadi gambaran starting XI lawan Swansea akan nampak dimatch ini untuk penyesuaian dan pemantapan taktik & persiapan.

Soal Thorpe, kalau Michael Keane jadi dipinjamkan ke Cardiff yang keputusan finalnya senin hari ini (info dari Wales online), mungkin bukan hanya dimatch ini, Thorpe bakal dapat jatah lebih dimusim berjalan.

Kalau Fellaini sendiri, saya sendiri ragu. Banyak link berita salah satunya dari Mail yang bilang Fellaini termasuk dalam 5 pemain yang gak diinginkan LvG termasuk Nani, Ando, Chicha & Rafa. Rai Italia malah bilang Chicha & Fella masuk dalam paket barter untuk dapatkan Vidal include uang cash.

Sampai saat ini masih bertanya- tanya sambil berangan- angan, LvG pelatih yang agak sulit ditebak, jelasnya kita tunggu saja hari rabu.

Menurut Pakde LvG, Valencia yg cedera di laga minggu lalu, udah siap untuk kembali bermain nih, sedangkan pemain2 susulan liburan dianggap belom layak tampil, RvP serta duo Belgian

The Opposition Following five consecutive victories during the summer tour of America, United will be aiming to make it a clean sweep of wins by defeating the Spaniards in Louis van Gaal's first home match as manager.

Previous Meetings*The Reds have edged previous meetings between the two sides, with two wins, five draws and one defeat from eight competitive encounters. In 2009, United won 2-0 in a friendly at Old Trafford against a Valencia side containing Juan Mata, while the most recent clash was a 1-1 draw in the Champions League in December 2010.

Manager Nuno Santo replaced Juan Antonio Pizzi at the beginning of July, having led Portuguese minnows Rio Ave to a historic first-ever European qualification last term. He masterminded runs to the finals of both major domestic cup finals, earning a spot in the Europa League in the process.

Star Man*Valencia's line-up is perhaps not quite as familiar as in recent years, with big names such as Mata, Jordi Alba and Roberto Soldado departing in the past few seasons. However, Brazilian international striker Jonas is a consistent performer, having scored double figures in the league in each of his three full campaigns so far.

Last Season*A disappointing eighth-place finish resulted in no European football for the first time since 1997/98 and cost Pizzi his job. Santo has already begun to rebuild with five new signings and will hope for better things in the coming months.

Trio set to miss Valencia friendly


Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has appeared to rule World Cup trio Adnan Januzaj, Marouane Fellaini and Robin van Persie out of Tuesday's friendly against Valencia.

The Dutchman will walk out at Old Trafford for the first time as Reds boss and is anticipating a tough test against the Spanish outfit.

"The players have to be fit and the first thing you can do is be fit," he explained to MUTV. "I don't think they are fit after one week of training sessions. Surely not, when you compare it with players I have already trained.

"It is more difficult as they are not as the same level as the players we have trained already and have already played 45 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes. So that is difficult. They came later, like Januzaj, Fellaini and van Persie so it is difficult to start at the same level. So we have to adjust and that is difficult."

Valencia come into the match in good form themselves after winning the Emirates Cup recently.

"They have also won a tournament in Emirates Stadium," added van Gaal. "They are very good. I think, otherwise, they would not beat those competitors. It's very difficult for us but it's better to play against good opponents rather than weak opponents and we win, for example, 7-0."
