Default 10 players Man United should buy to compete with Man City

Dari talksport..
Berita udah agak lama, tapi masih menarik buat dibicarakan menjelang jendela transfer January..

Daftar nya :

MIDFIELD

The match against City highlighted both a lack of creativity and defensive stability in United's midfield. The retirement of Paul Scholes over the summer has left Sir Alex's side with no spark in the middle and the main contenders - Anderson, Fletcher, Park and Carrick offer little inspiration. The emergence of Tom Cleverley is exciting, but the 23-year-old needs a more experienced player to take up the attacking duties with him. United's midfield also failed to cover their defence at the weekend; Where City have Toure and Barry, Arsenal have Song and Wilshere and Tottenham have Parker, United don't have a holding midfielder of top quality.

WESLEY SNEIJDER

CLUB: Inter
POSITION: Attacking Midfield
PRICE: £35m
Inter are struggling in the bottom half of Serie A at present and United need a world class midfielder if they want to challenge City. It seems Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder and the Red Devils are a match made in heaven, if only the pair could come to an agreement. With Champions League and World Cup final experience, Sneijder could add a new dimension to a midfield that is seemingly lacking at the very highest level.

CHEIK TIOTE
CLUB: Newcastle
POSITION: Defensive Midfield
PRICE: £15m
An intrinsic part of the Magpies unbeaten side this season, Ivorian Tiote would offer his tough-tackling skills to a United team that seem to have developed a hole between their defence and midfield.

DANIELE DE ROSSI

CLUB: Roma
POSITION: Defensive Midfield
PRICE: £10m
Prizing De Rossi away from his boyhood club might prove difficult, but with his contract expiring next year, De Rossi could be a bargain buy in January. The 28-year-old has been a stalwart in midfield for Italy and Roma for years now and would offer stability to United's midfield. He has great defensive positioning, though isn't inclined to rash tackling. His vision can be compared with that of Cesc Fabregas (albeit with a little less Catalan flair) and he isn't shy of having a pop at goal from distance.

JAVI MARTINEZ
CLUB: Athletic Bilbao
POSITION: Midfield
PRICE: £25m
The versatile Spanish midfielder has become one of European football's hottest prospects following his success captaining Spain's U21 side to the European Championships this year. At 6ft 3in, Martinez is an imposing playmaker, not shy to tackle and could really add some weight to the United midfield. With Bilbao mid-table in La Liga and Martinez facing tough competition to get a place in the national team, it could be the right time for him to sign for a bigger club.

MARIO GOTZE
CLUB: Borussia Dortmund
POSITION: Attacking Midfield
PRICE: £30m
Everyone is chasing the young German after some outstanding performances for the national side and Bundesliga champs Dortmund last season. The 19-year-old can play on the right or through the middle and is a stylish match winner. His runs, skill on the ball, vision and finishing would be an outstanding asset to any team and signing him would be an outstanding statement of intent by United, just as the capture of Rooney was in 2004.
