Re: United Reserve Matches
Berarti bisa dibilang sia2 dong dia di braga. padahal klo misalnya tetep di MU ada kemungkinan turun di carling cup klo nggak di reserve. masa 6 bulan yang sia2 ya.

Re: United Reserve Matches
Barclays Premier Reserve League
Leigh Sports Village, 24 Feb 2010 Reserves: Blackburn 1 United 1 United's young Reserves took an impressive point from an experienced Blackburn Rovers side at Leigh Sports Village. Ritchie De Laet's superb volley ensured a share of the spoils for the Reds, who had trailed David Hoylett's early header for a home side boasting several players with extensive first team experience. An ebbing, flowing start yielded chances for both sides. Oliver Norwood swapped cute passes with Gabriel Obertan before firing over via the crossbar, while Ben Amos reacted well to turn away David Dunn’s powerful left-footed effort after excellent approach play from the Rovers midfielder. The United goalkeeper was unable to prevent the hosts’ opener on 17 minutes, however, as Rovers moved ahead when Junior Hoylett found room to direct a near post corner goalwards, with Amos and Cameron Stewart just unable to prevent the ball from crossing the line. Although Rovers bossed much of the midfield battle and Steven Reid almost doubled their lead with a thunderous shot which clipped the outside of the post, United almost drew level when Mame Biram Diouf stung the palms of Jason Brown with a left-footed rocket. The equaliser did arrive - in emphatic style - just moments before the interval. Diouf kept a United corner alive by retrieving the ball on the right flank and firing in a delightful cross which De Laet arced superbly past Brown on the volley. Having spent large portions of the first half on the back foot, United’s dander was up. Shortly after the start of the second half, Stewart’s curling effort was beaten away by Brown as the Reds’ play began to carry greater purpose. It took another fine save from Amos to preserve parity, however, as livewire winger Hoylett slalomed between defenders and powered a shot towards the near post which was turned spectacularly up onto the crossbar. Norwood could count himself extremely fortunate to still be amid the action after the hour mark, after a high, late challenge caught Reid flush on the right knee. The Irish international was justifiably irate, especially after his long-running battle with injuries, but his subsequent shove on Norwood meant both players were punished with a booking. The pair almost combined to tee up a United winner with eight minutes remaining, as Norwood’s cross deflected off Reid and bounced for William Keane. The teenage substitute had caught the eye with a lively cameo, but could only stab the ball against Brown’s post. Instead both sides had to settle for a point - United's first league draw of the season - and the Reds are now five points clear of second-placed Manchester City, although third-placed Liverpool lie menacingly six points behind, but with three games in hand. United: Amos; Brown, De Laet, Wootton, Gill; Stewart (W Keane 60), Possebon, Norwood, C Evans, Obertan (Brandy 60); Diouf. Subs not used: Zieler, Moffatt, Ajose.
