With most of the country enjoying a welcomed Christmas break, Jose Mourinho and the Manchester United players have been working hard at the Aon Training Complex with minds focused firmly on Saturday's Premier League match at home to Southampton.

The Reds are determined to secure a positive result at Old Trafford after disappointingly recording consecutive top-flight draws against Leicester City and Burnley over the last week.

Official club photographer John Peters was granted exclusive access to Thursday morning's training session and you can see his photos by clicking the main image above.

As you will see, the players' spirits have seemingly not been dampened by recent dropped points and confidence appears to be high. Interestingly, the group has also been boosted by the participation of several of our talented young prospects, including Angel Gomes, Demi Mitchel and Josh Bohui.

Anthony Martial is also pictured training with the main group, which is positive news following reports from France over the weekend that claimed he had suffered an injury. No official comment has been made on the forward, but Jose Mourinho may provide an update during his press conference on Friday.
