Manchester United signing Mats Moller Daehli potential word-beater claims legend Solskjaer

According to Molde coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Norwegian youngster Mats Moller Daehli can be a huge star at Manchester United.

The midfielder has moved to join United this summer from Stabaek.

The United legend believes he is as good as any 16 year-old player in Europe.

"He is on a par with the greatest European talents in his age group," said United legend Solskjaer.

"Mats has already made a very good impression at United. They're expecting big things from him."

Daehli will sign professional forms with United when he turns 17 next March.

MANCHESTER United youngster Nicky Ajose will not be coming to Glanford Park, Iron manager Alan Knill has conceded.

The 19-year-old forward spent all last season out on loan at Bury.

And former Shakers boss Knill was keen to work with him again at Scunthorpe this campaign.

But the youngster instead looks likely to be heading to join Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren at newly-promoted Championship side Peterborough – possibly in a permanent deal.

"We believe that Nicky is probably going to go elsewhere, to the Championship," admitted Knill.

"Good luck to him. I have always said he is a good player.

"The good thing is that we have been part of his development.

"That is our job to help players achieve their potential."

Meanwhile, United are on course to achieving record season ticket sales for League One level.

By the close of play yesterday, the final day for current season ticket holders to renew at a discounted price, the Iron had sold 2,600 tickets.

The record number of sales with the club in the third tier, set in 2008-09, was 2,719 .

But as the current sales do not include executive boxes or corporate season tickets, the club are confident of surpassing that previous best.

"We'll get the exact figures in the next few days, but we'd hopefully get up to 2,800, which would be a record for this level," general manager David Beeby told the Telegraph.

"Sales started slow, which was a bit worrying because with probably three or four weeks to go we still had under 1,000 season ticket holders.

"But the last two weeks have been excellent and we're really pleased with the way it's gone, especially after the season we had last year.

"The fans have stuck with us and hopefully we'll give them a season to remember."

Brazilian wizkid Adryan is reportedly linked with Manchester United

Adryan Oliveira Tavares has so far been the star performer for Brazil in the Under-17 World Cup, scoring 3 goals in 5 matches.

Reports from earlier this week have suggested that Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has had a growing interest in the young Brazilian, that has already been linked with United just last April.

Adryan took a major role in Brazil's Sudamericano U17 championship win and caught the eye of Red Devils scouts. But when Manchester United approached his team- Flamengo, they were slapped by a £12M price tag that was put on the player and backed down.

Meanwhile, the winger showcased some impressive performances down in Mexico, scoring three goals for Brazil in the U-17 World Cup and helping his side to the Semi-finals against Uruguay, a match which will take place tomorrow night (7.7).

Adryan is an attacking minded winger, who can play on both sides of the pitch and also behind the strikers, executing excellent dribbling abilities and a great shot from long distance, also holding the ability to take powerful free kicks from outside the box.

Ever since his great performances in the World Cup it has been reported that United are taking a second look at the player, which will not be the first time that they are looking to sign a Brazilian player before he even manages to play one match at first team level- for example the Da Silva twins and Anderson, who was also discovered at the U-17 WC.
