Louis van Gaal explains United's injury problems

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has provided an update on the
list of injuries at the club, saying he could have as many as seven players missing for the Reds' trip to Sunderland.

While the return of Robin van Persie and Antonio
Valencia will be a welcome boost for the Dutch coach
after the opening-day defeat to Swansea, knocks to
midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera have
given van Gaal another selection headache.
"We have seven injuries, so that is a lot," he said. "In my
career as a trainer-coach, we've never had seven
injuries in my selection, and the last game it was nine, so
we are progressing! But okay, seven injuries, plus Fellaini
who has an ankle problem, so we'll have to wait and see
because [on Saturday] he'll have a scan. It is always
better to do that after two or three days and not at
once. I cannot say anything about that - but he is
injured, yes.

"Herrera is also injured, so we have four midfielders out. [Michael] Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini and [Jesse] Lingard.

So we are a little bit thin in midfield and it's a problem that I have. I already explained at the last press conference that it is very difficult when you have a trip to the United States to be prepared for the season.

"[Jonny] Evans has recovered and trained today for the first time, so he's not available for selection yet. Valencia is back. With Herrera - it is too early to say because it happened [on Thursday] in the training session and it's still too early for him to have a scan. The same thing as Fellaini."

liat Chelsea agak ngerihh (pake h) juga, ada Fabregas, Drogba pemain berpengalaman dan mainnya secara tim bener-bener siap mental
itu mungkin yang jadi masalah di United, menurut saya cuma RvP yang mental mainnya masih di kelas juara, yang lain seperti baru belajar dan masih gelagapan ga tau targetnya mau apa.

tapi seperti yang diakui LvG sendiri, dia selalu butuh 2-3 bulan untuk mematangkan caranya ke pemain, ya semoga pemain-pemain belajar dengan tekun

besok RvP sudah bisa main lumayan menambah ketenangan, tinggal kreatifnya Mata-Roo buka peluang. sebagai wakil kapten, Fletcher pasti diliat juga punya kelebihan disisi mental, semoga ga banyak salah umpan lagi kayak kemarin hehe

Opposition boss: Perhaps unsurprisingly, manager Gustavo Poyet has claimed the summer transfer window should close at the start of the season because the current system is disruptive to teams who are susceptible to offers from bigger clubs. “I am a believer that we need to stop the transfer window before we start the season. Steven Fletcher and Connor Wickham are getting used to playing together and they like to play together. So I can see that they play with us and they have got a place in the team and they stay. When someone offers money for a player, you cannot stop that. I know it sounds typical but there are offers that no one in the world can refuse.”

Minggu lalu saya nonton Sunderland main, mereka cukup aktif di flank. Kesalahan minggu lalu jangan diulang lagi dimatch ini, kalau diserang disayap midfilder jangan lupa cover lini tengah United. Clev kalau dimainkan harus lebih baik dari Herrera minggu lalu.

Permainan di pre-season sama sekali nggak kelihata. Banyak banget salah passing. Dah kayak baru mulai pre-season, sih latihan mengenal taktik. Bener2 periode belajar. Hasil pre-season bukan gambaran.

BTW, Smalling kenapa? Apa dah cedera aja?
