Skrng saatnya kita focus ke Brazil untuk ajang empat tahunan, pesta sepak bola terbesar dunia, yak World Cup 2014

Thread ini untuk mengikuti sepak terjang para United players yg sedang membela negaranya masing2 2 bulan ke depan ini ..., asal tau aja, du tengah performa United yg uhuk2, ternyata jumlah pemain United yg akan berlaga di Brazil lumayan banyak lho, bahkan hanya selisih 1 pemain dibawah Bayern Munchen, masih preliminary sih, krn ada bbrp negara kontestan yg belum secara resmi mengumumkan squadnya atau masih squad sementara ....

United's World Cup call-ups

Manchester United could have as many as 16 players at this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil after all the participating nations named their preliminary squads for the prestigious
tournament.

Nineteen-year-old sensation Adnan Januzaj and Marouane Fellaini have both been selected by Belgium while Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney are all included in England’s 23-man travelling party. The English quartet's team-mates Tom Cleverley and Michael Carrick are on Roy Hodgson's seven-strong standby list.

As expected, Antonio Valencia will wear the yellow shirt of Ecuador, with Patrice Evra and Shinji Kagawa both set to don blue shirts for France and Japan respectively.

United strikers Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (Mexico) and Robin van Persie (Netherlands) will also travel to South America.

Nani is the only English-based player in Paulo Bento’s Portugal squad, while neighbouring Spain - the reigning world champions - have David De Gea and Juan Mata on their preliminary list.

Each national team will play a series of warm-up friendlies before the provisional squads are whittled down to 23 men by 2 June.

The World Cup kicks off on 12 June when hosts Brazil face Croatia at the Arena de Sao Paulo. As it stands, the first fixtures involving United players will be on the following day when Mexico take on Cameroon in Group A and Spain go head-to-head with Netherlands in Group B.

Prestasi klub ternyata tidak menggambarkan keikutsertaan pemain dari klub tersebut ke Piala Dunia..
Semoga Rooney dan temen-temennya yang berasal dari United bisa melepas dahaga trophy tahun ini dengan mengangkat Piala Dunia..

Sangat bisa, soalnya masih banyak yang "hanya" masuk list 30 pemain, bukan 23 pemain, belum ada kepastian dari negaranya, contohnya Mata yang rawan hanya masuk pemain standby seperti Carrick & Cleverley

Four Reds win warm-up games


A trio of Manchester United players were on the winning side at Wembley on Friday night as England notched an encouraging friendly victory over Peru.

Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck both started behind the scorer of a stunning first goal - Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge - with Southampton's Adam Lallana joining them in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Chelsea defender Gary Cahill and fellow centre-back Phil Jagielka both netted in the second half before United's Chris Smalling replaced the latter to see out the final 18 minutes of a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Rooney had been substituted by then, leaving the field with captain Steven Gerrard just after the hour when Jack Wilshere and Raheem Sterling entered the fray. Reds defender Phil Jones was omitted from Roy Hodgson's squad for the match, as his recovery from a shoulder injury continues ahead of Brazil 2014.

Like Welbeck and co, Juan Mata was also in World Cup warm-up action, helping Spain to beat Bolivia 2-0. The United midfielder started on the right of an attacking trio with Pedro and Fernando Torres but there was disappointment for David De Gea*as Liverpool's loaned-out goalkeeper Pepe Reina played instead. Vicente del Bosque's selection means United's Player of the Year will have to wait a while longer to win his first senior cap.

Spain took the lead early in the second half with a Torres penalty, after Bayern Munich's Javi Martinez was fouled in the area. Mata had been withdrawn at the interval and it was his replacement, Barcelona's Andres Iniesta, who doubled the hosts' winning margin six minutes from time.

Chicha aids Mexico win



Javier Hernandez warmed up for the World Cup with an effective appearance for Mexico in their 3-0 win over Israel.

The United striker played for the second half of his country’s friendly at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, the venue for the finals of the 1970 and 1986 tournaments.

Goals from Miguel Layun put Mexico 2-0 ahead, and with five minutes remaining Hernandez played a major role in the third. His cross from a tight angle deflected out to Marco Fabian, who drilled the ball into the net underneath Hernandez, who had to leap out of the way as Fabian’s shot headed towards goal.

Mexico kick off their World Cup campaign against Cameroon on 13 June, facing hosts Brazil four days later, before rounding off their Group A fixtures against Croatia. If they qualify for the last 16, a meeting with either Spain or Netherlands could be on the cards, with a spot in the quarter-finals, for what would be only the third time in El Tri's history, at stake.*

It’s a prospect that doesn't worry Chicharito, who told CNN in an interview prior to the Israel match:

"If you want to win the World Cup you need to play against the best teams in the world. We know if we have a very good group stage and get through, the teams we could face in the next match are going to be very difficult. But there's no easy national team – you need to play against the best.

"There's no point going to a competition and just thinking: 'We're just going to play three games'. That's not the point if you want to make history."

Internationals: Robin nets again



Louis van Gaal's first match since being announced as the new Manchester United manager ended in victory on Saturday night - thanks to Reds striker and Netherlands captain Robin van Persie.

The latter led his national team by example on the field, scoring the only goal as the Dutch beat Ghana 1-0 in a World Cup warm-up match. Van Persie had also netted in the previous friendly, the 1-1 draw against Antonio Valencia's Ecuador, with both matches being shown live on United's official television channel MUTV.

Van Gaal rested van Persie 16 minutes from the end and will now prepare his squad for their final pre-World Cup fixture, against Wales on Wednesday.

Ecuador were also back in action on Saturday with another Reds head-to-head for Antonio Valencia, against*Javier Hernandez's Mexico in Texas, USA. Both United players came on as substitutes in the second half, shortly before Chicharito's side went 2-0 up in an eventual 3-1 win.

Nani had no goals to celebrate as Portugal were held 0-0 by Greece, although 83 minutes on the pitch will represent personal progress for the winger who spent much of last season at United on the sidelines. His national team's next friendly will be against Mexico in Massachusetts, USA next Saturday, 7 June.
