Setuju bro... Chelsea & Soton musim ini konsisten penampilannya karena pemain andalan fit terus/ jarang absen. Costa lalu absen karena masalah kebugaran aja bukan cedera serius. Arsenal contohnya, kena badai cedera penampilan langsung jeblok. Chelsea sejauh ini baru gunakan 14 pemain kan yah, maklum deh. Kekompakan & stabilitas tim bisa terjaga.

Mourinho tips quintet for title tilt


Jose Mourinho believes that Southampton, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs can all challenge Chelsea for the title, but not Manchester United.

After their comeback victory over Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend, Mourinho's men hold a four-point lead over second-placed Southampton.

The Portuguese boss has previously rejected the notion that his side can emulate the Arsenal 'Invincibles' in going a whole Premier League season unbeaten, but Chelsea look in imperious form, having dropped points on just two occasions heading into the international break.

After finishing a disappointing third last season, the Blues are now currently an average of 13 points clear of the other teams who finished in the top six last campaign, with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal struggling to rekindle their form.

However, when asked of his thoughts on the title race, Mourinho identified the aforementioned two - along with three other sides, none of which included old foe Manchester United - as Chelsea's challengers in the title race.

"If this was the Spanish, Portuguese or German league where you have two teams competing to be*champion, if you leave one team 15 points behind you are almost there but this is England and every match is difficult," Mourinho is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.

"It is not just about Liverpool, there is Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Southampton."

Saturday's win puts Chelsea 15 points ahead of Liverpool - as well as Spurs - while another crucial three away points coupled with Arsenal's collapse against Swansea leaves a gap of 12 points between Chelsea and their London neighbours.

While Southampton are the current closest challengers on four points, Premier League champions Manchester City are eight behind the league leaders.

Louis van Gaal's United, who are 13 points behind, were left off Mourinho's list despite earning a 1-1 draw against Mourinho's charges last month.

Rooney targets festive run to catch leaders
Forward says Man Utd's hopes of title can be lifted by winning run over Christmas


Wayne Rooney has called on Manchester United to establish themselves as genuine Barclays Premier League title contenders over the Christmas period.

United have put together a run of six straight wins in the Barclays Premier League and stayed on the heels of Chelsea and Manchester City with a 3-0 defeat of Liverpool at Old Trafford last weekend.

Next up is Saturday's trip to Aston Villa, where United have enjoyed considerable success in recent years, winning on their last three visits, unbeaten in the league at this venue since 1995 and winning all but their of their past 11 visits. With Louis van Gaal's side then hosting Newcastle United on Boxing Day before facing Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City away, Rooney is targeting maximum points from the busy festive fixture list.

"Christmas is going to be a very important time for us," Rooney told manutd.com. "If we can keep picking up points and winning games, then hopefully the other teams will drop points and we can be right in there going into the second half of the season."

United have won eight of their 20 titles when trailing other teams at Christmas and were traditionally regarded as strong finishers during Sir Alex Ferguson's reign. Under Van Gaal, they have started to show signs of having the same resilience and strength of character that has helped them finish on top of the table on so many occasions.

"We have to believe we can win the title," Rooney said. "We are eight points behind and coming into a busy period. If we can win our games and the others have one bad result then there is nothing there.

"We have been here before but we have a lot of new players and this is where the experience of myself, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher can rub off on the other players.

"We have to keep winning our games and hopefully get back to the top and you never know. We have shown a great resilience. Some of the games haven't gone the way we would like but we are winning them and that is a great quality to have.

"We won the league two years ago and we weren't great in a lot of those games but we got the results."

Van Gaal can boast domestic title triumphs in Holland with Ajax and AZ, in Spain with Barcelona and in Germany with Bayern Munich, so he too has the experience to guide United back to the summit.

"Everyone can see he has an aura about him," Rooney added. "He has experience.

"When things weren't going great for us earlier on in the season, he knew what he was doing, he knew the form would come back and that we would win games. There was no panic, he stayed calm because he has been through it all before. Thankfully the lads have believed in him and what he has said.

"It was a massive change when the manager and the new staff came in and it was a lot for us to take in and adapt to the things around the changing ground and on the pitch.

"He is a great manager. He is great with the players. He is honest with the players who are playing and those who aren't, which is great. We have a great team spirit. We all want to be successful. As long as we keep working we won’t be far away."

United bakal lawan Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Arsenal lagi sekitar maret-mei semoga permainan udah jauh membaik & lepas dari badai cedera di periode itu

Sampai dengan saat ini, Soton mulai kesandung saat menghadapi City, lanjut Arsenal dan United, bahkan gagal mendulang point dari Burnley, sementara kegeser ke posisi #5 (kmrn juga tersingkir li League Cup dari Sheffield)
