After signing for Manchester United for a world-record transfer fee in the summer, Paul Pogba has come to the conclusion his new employers could be 'cursed.'

The world's most expensive footballer was present as Manchester United dropped points to West Ham over the weekend, to see their faltering Premier League campaign fail once more to gather momentum.

After going behind in the clash to an early goal the Red Devils pulled themselves back into the tie at Old Trafford, dominating possession but failing to register a winner.

And former Juventus man Pogba is struggling to understand United's misfortune, going as far as to say the Red Devils could be forgiven for thinking they are 'cursed.'

'We're going to start to think we're cursed,' £89million man Pogba said to SFR Sport.

'I'm still confident because we create chances. It'll come. I'm confident in my team. We just have to pay attention to the small details.

'Today we conceded a daft goal, against Arsenal it was also the small details. I'm still confident, it'll come right. We are dropping silly points, but it'll come right,' Pogba added.

United boss Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands during Sunday's draw and Pogba was booked for diving.

The draw with the Hammers means the current campaign has seen Mourinho's men record their worst start to a top-flight season for 27 years.

After their recent run of results United are closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top of the league.

Eleven points separate the men in red from Antonio Conte's leaders Chelsea, but by the same token United are only nine better off than third-bottom Hull.

POGBA MAKES EUROPA LEAGUE VOW

Paul Pogba says Manchester United will give everything in order to win the Europa League in 2017.

The Reds are safely through to the knockout stages and await the outcome of Monday's draw, following a 2-0 win over Zorya Luhansk with the Frenchman setting up Zlatan Ibrahimovic's late clincher.

The trophy is one that has eluded the Reds, even though the club entered it in its UEFA Cup days as early as 1964. Last season, Liverpool ended hopes of reaching a first final by knocking Louis van Gaal's side out and advancing to the quarter-finals, only to ultimately lose out to Sevilla in the final.

Even though the competition has its critics, primarily because of its Thursday night fixture slot, with a Champions League place awaiting the victors, there is all to play for.

"It was a good win which is what we wanted," Pogba told MUTV after the victory in Odessa. "Now we have to be focused on the next game. We know what we want – if we can get the Europa League, that’s what we want and we will do everything to win it."

Pogba has started more games for the Reds this season than any outfield colleague and the same as keeper David De Gea (20) but is showing few signs of fatigue.

"When we play in loads of competitions, we play every three days and we have the team to change and we have to be ready," he added.

"When we prepare in pre-season, it’s to play in these games every three days and just get fit for these games."

POGBA IS A GAME CHANGER - HERRERA

Paul Pogba has been heralded as a "game changer" by his Manchester United team-mate Ander Herrera, following the Frenchman's Man of the Match display in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Pogba opened the scoring with just seconds of the first half remaining at Selhurst Park and, following James McArthur's equaliser, provided the assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic's dramatic winner.

Herrera - who also caught the eye during the victory - was full of praise for United's summer signing after the game, but says the performance was a collective effort.

Speaking to ManUtd.com, he said: “When you have top players, they can do that. They don’t need to play their best game to change a game. We have Paul, Wayne [Rooney], Juan [Mata], Zlatan [Ibrahimovic], [Anthony] Martial - all top players who can change a game.

"I don’t like to compare players. Pogba is Pogba and other midfielders are different. He has an unbelievable shot, he can head the ball, he can combine and create. We know Paul is a top player who can make a difference. He can change the game in a second.

"We are lucky, because we don’t just have Paul who can do that. I am so optimistic because we’re now in a very good period and we believe that we deserve to win games because we’re working so hard."

Paul Pogba has drawn plenty of praise for his recent form in Manchester United's midfield and the summer signing was a subject of conversation in this week's United In Press on MUTV.

National newspaper journalists Danny Taylor (The Guardian), Richard Tanner (Daily Express) and Ian Herbert (The Independent) joined host David Stowell to talk through the latest stories involving the club. As you can see in our video above, the group agreed that Pogba has settled down following his high-profile summer transfer from Juventus.

After watching footage of Pogba’s impressive performance in Saturday’s win at West Bromwich Albion, Taylor explained his view that Paul’s increasing influence was almost inevitable this season. “I suppose it was always going to be the case with any world-record transfer,” the journalist said.

“Jose did one press conference when he signed and said 'you won't see him dribbling around five players and maybe putting one in the top corner on his debut, but he will be increasingly influential in every game, he will make the right decisions and he will make the team tick'. We are seeing that more and more now.”

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hailed Paul Pogba as the best midfielder 'in the world' and has warned their rivals that he can only improve.

Pogba rejoined the Red Devils for a world record £89million from Juventus this summer — after four successful years in Turin.

The 23-year-old made a slow start to life back at Old Trafford but has excelled recently as Mourinho's side have won their last four Premier League matches.

And Mourinho has praised the form of Pogba — insisting that it would always take time for him to adapt to the rigours of English football.

'The Premier League is very difficult,' Mourinho told French TV station SFR. 'You play three, four years in Italy and you come to the Premier League and the world is completely different.

'But if the perception changes, then Paul can win it, because Paul is not a goal scorer.

'Paul is a midfielder who will score more and more goals, because I think he has good conditions to score goals. Paul is a midfielder, in my opinion, the best, the best in the world.

'Obviously, he's young, he can still improve, he wants to improve, which is even better.'

Pogba will be looking to remind those of his talents once more when United host Middlesbrough in the Premier League on New Year's Eve.

Tapi 5 tahun kemudian Pogba yang tersenyum lebar. Dia adalah pemain termahal dunia dan berkontribusi membangun serangan untuk gol Martial serta mencetak gol penentu kemenangan United.
