* Manchester United are eyeing a move for Real Valladolid's Mohammed Salisu
* The youngster has a release clause of just £10million at the La Liga outfit
* United have been impressed by the 20-year-old's performances in La Liga

Manchester United have received a major boost in their pursuit of Mohammed Salisu with the youngster reportedly refusing to sign a new contract at Real Valladolid.

The Premier League outfit have been impressed by the 20-year-old centre back and are readying a move after learning of his £10million release clause.

The La Liga outfit are eager for him to sign a new contract but it appears the player is holding out for a move to the Premier League after refusing to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Mohammed Salisu has impressed for Real Valladolid, with Manchester United eyeing a move. Salisu is at a standstill with Real Valladolid over signing a new deal and United are lingering

Valladolid's sporting director Miguel Angel Gomez said: 'Salisu perceives the love of the club because we have made three contracts in 13 months.

'He knows that he is an important player and that we would like to proceed with that renewal, but today there is a standstill.'

The Ghanaian youngster only signed his current deal in May and it is due to expire in 2020.

Juventus 'eyeing up move for Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali' with teenager also a target for Manchester United and City... despite owner Massimo Cellino demanding £256m for him

* Juventus have joined Man United and Man City in the race to sign Sandro Tonali
* The promising Brescia midfielder has caught the eye in his debut Serie A season
* Tonali has already been watched by both United and City scouts this season
* Owner Massimo Cellino claimed it would take an offer of £256m to sign Tonali

Juventus have joined Manchester City and Manchester United in the race to sign Brescia's highly-rated teenager Sandro Tonali, according to reports.

The Italian champions are looking to the future and have identified the Brescia midfielder as one of their key targets but know they are not alone in their pursuit of the 19-year-old.

According to Goal, Juventus' sporting director, Fabio Paratici, is ready to bring one of football's brightest talents to Turin, having scouted the player since his Serie B days.

Juventus are reportedly lining up a move for Manchester United and City target Sandro Tonali

Both United and City have sent scouts to watch Tonali in action while both could be willing to enter a bidding war to secure his signature next summer.

The Italian international – who helped Brescia to the Serie B title last season – has also been linked to Inter Milan, Napoli, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

He has started every game so far this season for the club he began his career with, impressing with a classy touch and rugged tackling style.

It has been rumoured that a £43million bid would be enough to sign Tonali but Brescia president Massimo Cellino has claimed it would take an offer of €300m (£256m) to part with his prized asset.

Cellino told Gazzetta dello Sport in October: 'The other day, his agent and his parents were telling me about this €50m (£43m) evaluation. I replied that for me he is worth €300m (£256m), which means I don't want to sell.

'I have a dream. If Sandro accepts, I am ready to make a big financial sacrifice to extend his contract. It's up to him to decide. He can stay here and enjoy his football, or go to a big club and risk being left on the bench.'

Cellino believes Tonali would be better off staying at the club despite Europe's elit showing interest in him.

He added: 'All the big Italian clubs. Abroad there's Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, but in my view, he'd be better off remaining as a protagonist with Brescia.'

Tonali has featured three times for Italy, playing all 90 minutes for his country as they completed their successful Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win over Bosnia and a 9-1 destruction of Armenia this month.

Manchester United 'ready to swoop again for wantaway Christian Eriksen after Tottenham star turned them down in the summer'

* Manchester United are still looking to sign Tottenham's Christian Eriksen
* The Spurs star has said he wants to look for a new challenge next year
* United will have to pay a fee if they want the Danish playmaker in January

Manchester United are still looking to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in January, despite him turning them down over the summer, according to The Mirror.

Eriksen apparently decided he would prefer to continue playing Champions League football this season, after Spurs made it to the final last season and Manchester United playing in the Europa League.

However, the London side have since struggled in the Premier League, and United think they might be able to lure Eriksen to Old Trafford after all.

Manchester United are still reportedly looking to bring in Tottenham star Christian Eriksen. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to take Eriksen off the hands of new boss Jose Mourinho. Eriksen has been relegated to the bench many times since becoming a contract rebel

Eriksen reportedly told new boss Jose Mourinho to his face that he wants to leave Tottenham, saying he is eager for a new challenge, and in the process turning down a new £200,000-a-week contract offer.

The 27-year-old is one of three contract rebels at the club alongside Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

Spurs subsequently said they were willing to listen to offers of £40million for Eriksen in January, rather than lose the Danish star for nothing next summer.

United know that waiting until the summer will increase the number of suitors for Eriksen, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid also reportedly looking to sign him.

Tottenham won their first three games with Mourinho in charge, but lost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United on Wednesday night. They've conceded two goals in each of these four games, as worries about the strength in defence continue.

Eriksen has been a big part of the Tottenham lineup since his arrival in 2013, but has been relegated to appearances from the bench quite often this season, and hasn't started a game since Mourinho's arrival.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will only sign Paul Pogba for less than £50m, way below Manchester United's £130m asking price despite Zinedine Zidane making France star top priority

* Florentino Perez is unwilling to break the bank to sign Paul Pogba
* Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has made him his top transfer priority
* The 26-year-old has not played since September due to a foot injury

Zinedine Zidane's hopes of bringing Paul Pogba to Real Madrid have reportedly been dashed, with Florentino Perez unwilling to sanction a deal upwards of £50million.

Zidane still covets France's World Cup-winning midfielder, and is willing to sign him 'at all costs', according to reports in Spain this week.

But the Bernabeu president is not as keen as his manager on the 26-year-old, and will only sanction a cut-price deal, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Perez is unwilling to do the deal before next summer, and wants to limit the spend to £50m, a significantly lower figure than the £130m United are believed to be demanding.

He fears that Pogba's arrival would block the path for young talents like Federico Valverde and Martin Odegaard.

Pogba is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2021, and the chances of prising him from United at such a price before then appear slim.

Real Madrid manager Zidane has made no secret of his admiration for his French compatriot and United know Pogba is keen on moving to the Bernabeu.

Pogba and Zidane met up in Dubai back in October and, according to Spanish newspaper Marca, have been in constant contact this season.

Paul Pogba remains a top target of Real Madrid but they are unwilling to break the bank. Florentino Perez is unwilling to sanction a deal for the 26-year-old beyond the price of £50m. Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has made the Frenchman a top priority in the transfer market. There are fears that Pogba's arrival could block the pathway for Real Madrid youngsters

They report that Zidane is still demanding the club sanction the signing of Pogba, given that was his primary demand when he returned for a second spell coaching the club in March.

But Marca also report there is a reluctance at board level in Madrid to sanction a move when United would want in excess of £100m.

Pogba is currently nearing a first-team return from a foot injury that has kept him out of action since the draw with Arsenal at the end of September.

It has restricted him to only six appearances this season, though there have been suggestions that Pogba is deliberately delaying his return to action so as not to aggravate his foot injury and jeopardise a potential move to Real.

Real Madrid 'to offer Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in exchange for Paul Pogba' as they look to swoop their target away from Manchester United

* Zinedine Zidane is a long-term admirer of Manchester United's Paul Pogba
* Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez could be used as makeweights for any deal
* Both Real Madrid players are thought to be surplus to requirements at the club
* It would take a big deal to persuade Manchester United to sell their midfielder

Real Madrid will reportedly offer Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez to Manchester United in an attempt to prise away Paul Pogba.

The La Liga giants have long been admirers of the French World Cup winning midfielder and tried to seal a deal for him in the summer.

According to Spanish newspaper El Desmarque, the club are keen on bringing Pogba to Madrid next year and could offer both Bale and Rodriguez to sweeten the deal.

Manchester United value Pogba at £150million so Madrid would have to put forward a big offer if they were to convince the Premier League club to sell.

However, it is unlikely that United would believe that Bale and Rodriguez together would match that valuation if Madrid were to pursue a swap deal.

Real Madrid are interested in signing Paul Pogba who is currently out of action with an injury. Reports claim Madrid want to sign the disgruntled United midfielder in the new year. Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez could be used in a swap deal for midfielder Paul Pogba

Pogba is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2021, though previous reports have stated he would be willing to move away from the Premier League club to join Madrid.

The 26-year-old has been out of action since September and is hoping to make a comeback before the New Year.

Real Madrid were reportedly interested in signing Pogba due to the insistence of manager Zinedine Zidane back in the summer, but the Frenchman ended up staying put in England.

This was largely down to the players Los Blancos had already signed during the transfer window.

According to Marca, Madrid spent 350 million euros (£295m) on the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Rodrygo.

In return they only recouped just 150m (£126m) in player sales resulting in a 200m euros (£170m) deficit.

With UEFA's rulings stating that the maximum net spend one club can have is 100 million euros, the difference of 200 million euros is of huge concern to Madrid and the club could look to sell some players to avoid Financial Fair Play Sanctions.

As a result, the futures of both Bale and Rodriguez are up in the air.

Bale has had a tumultuous time at Real Madrid this season and was booed and jeered by is own fans last month after holding up a flag of 'Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order,' after helping his country book their spot at next summer's European Championship.

Rodriguez, 28, meanwhile has clocked up just 422 minutes of action this season in nine outings and having entered his prime years, will likely seek a move away in any case.

Manchester United open the door for Paul Pogba exit as they plan to have signed two central midfielders by the start of next season with Saul Niguez and Donny van de Beek at top of wishlist

* Paul Pogba has made it no secret that he wants to leave Manchester United
* Pogba only has 18 months left on his £290,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford
* Sportsmail understands that an exit before the start of next season is likely
* United want to use the money from his sale to help strengthen central midfield

Manchester United will open the door to Paul Pogba's exit from Old Trafford by signing two central midfielders before the start of next season.

Sportsmail understands Pogba still wants to leave after pushing for moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid over the last two years.

The Frenchman only has 18 months left on his £290,000-a-week contract, although United have an option to extend it by another year until June 2022.

The club made a tentative approach to discuss a new deal last summer but Pogba's camp were not interested in opening talks and there has been no contact since then.

Publicly, United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insist the 26-year-old star is not for sale. But the fact they have prioritised signing two central midfielders and a striker over the next two transfer windows — most likely in the summer — indicates United are preparing for that eventuality.

They have weighed up a number of midfield options including Donny van de Beek of Ajax and Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez, while Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Braut Haaland, who shares the same agent, Mino Raiola, as Pogba, is the No 1 striker target.

Manchester United will give Paul Pogba the chance to leave before the start of next season. Pogba hasn't been quiet about wanting to leave United after joining in the summer of 2016. It is understood United would use the money from Pogba's sale to strengthen central midfield

It would make good business sense to sell Pogba at the end of the season when the £89million record signing is still likely to command a big transfer fee, although United have not been afraid to play a waiting game with key players in the past.

Pogba, who watched last weekend's Manchester derby win at the Etihad from the stands before joining United's Christmas party in London, is close to returning to action after two-and-a-half months out with an ankle injury.

Scott McTominay and Fred have formed a promising midfield partnership in his absence, raising questions about how Pogba will fit into a faster, more fluid system that is starting to blossom under Solskjaer this season.

'We are the biggest and best in the world... there are many players who want to be part of our rebuild': Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Manchester United can still attract big names in the transfer market

* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident players will still want to join Man United
* They failed to make top four last season and sit outside Champions League spots
* Solskjaer has transfer plans for January but it remains to be seen if he has funds
* United want to sign Donny van de Beek, Saul Niguez and Braut Erling Haaland

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident the club can still attract big-name players despite their dwindling position in the Premier League.

United failed to secure Champions League football last season and are currently five points behind Chelsea in fourth.

While Solskjaer can admit the club are not the force they once were, he insists United still have significant pulling power in the transfer market.

'Agents might not want them to, but players will want to come here,' the United boss said on Wednesday.

'I don't speak to too many agents. United are the biggest and best in the world and I'm sure there's so many players in the world who want to be part of the rebuild.

'Our players and fans enjoy our football and opposition players will like to be part of it as well.'

Solskjaer has plans to strengthen his squad in January but it remains to be seen if he will be provided the funds to invest.

Sportsmail understands United have weighed up a number of midfield options including Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez and Donny van de Beek of Ajax, who was linked with Real Madrid in the summer.

Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland is also their No 1 striker target, but United will face stern competition for his signature with a host of other European giants in for the 19-year-old goal machine.

Juventus will not make a January transfer move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici ruled out a return for the midfielder next month. As revealed by Sportsmail, United will give Pogba the chance to leave before next term starts

'As I have already said several times, we have a very competitive and complete squad,' he told Calciomercato.

'We have Emre Can and we have Khedira who will come back, so we have no intention of operating on the market.'
