Spurs defender Younes Kaboul believes Harry Redknapp's side can upset the odds for a this successive league game when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend.

Back-to-back home wins over their arch London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea last week put Tottenham into fourth place, two points ahead of fifth place Manchester City with just four games to go this season.

But Kaboul, who re-signed for Spurs in January from Portsmouth and has impressed at right-back in place of the injured Vedran Corluka, insists his team-mates must not take their Champions League bid for granted and focus on the task ahead at United.

'We have to keep concentrating until the end of the season because it's not finished,' he told the club's official website.

'It was a big week for us and I don't think many people would have seen us beating Arsenal and Chelsea after we lost against Portsmouth in the FA Cup semi-final.

'I hope we build on these results this weekend. It will be a very hard game at United next Saturday but we can get a result up there, why not? It's only about us.

Michael Carrick has said he will have to cut his emotions with Tottenham ahead of Man United's must-win game against them on Saturday.

The Reds midfielder, who moved to Old Trafford from White Hart Lane in an £18.6million deal, has been firmly behind his former club over the past week after watching them defeat United's main title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea on home soil. However it is United's turn to face Harry Redknapp's men at Old Trafford this weekend as they look to defeat the Londoners to keep their Premier League title bid alive.

"Your emotions change from week-to-week depending on who is playing," said Carrick.

"It is funny how the fixtures have come together. At the start of the season you could never have predicted the scenario that has unfolded.

"You are supporting one team one week and playing against them the next. That is the nature of the game."

Meanwhile Carrick claims United will need to be at their best against Spurs to secure three points and pile the pressure on Chelsea, who face Stoke on Sunday.

He added: "Tottenham have been around that fourth spot all season.

"The squad they have assembled over a number of years is really top class.

"We are at the business end of the season now and you have to give them credit.

"They have put in some excellent performances after the disappointment of that FA semi-final defeat by Portsmouth."

tak usah khawatir jika merujuk penampilan backfour kita ketika melawan city,, mereka cukup sempurna,,, bahkan evans sudah layak bermain regular first team.. dia tenang sekali menjaga wilayahnya dan sudah tidak pernah melakukan blunder2 gak penting lagi seperti dulu... banyak kemajuan yg sudah diperlihatkan evans sejauh ini... pavluchenko-defoe menurut gw biasa aja,,, mereka sangat bergantung dari umpan2 matang rekan2nya.... buktinya ketika melawan chelsea, duet ini tidak bisa berbuat banyak walopun chelsea bermain dengan 10 orang.. sesekali mendapat bola matang, tetapi yg bersangkutan tidak bisa melakukakn finishing dengan baik....... jadi kesimpiulannya gw percaya backfour kita bisa meredam duet ini..

jika manuver2 dan tusukan bale bisa diredam,, serta ruang gerak dan umpan2 berbahaya modric bisa dicover,,, gw yakin duet pav-defoe bakal terisolir... bentley??? evra terlalu kuat untuknya.....

Ladeni Spurs, MU Punya Misi Gareth Bale

Dilaporkan kalau MU siap melepas £20 juta (Rp 278 miliar) untuk mendaratkan Bale di Theatre of Dream.

Bale mendapat perhatian khusus saat meladeni Chelsea akhir pekan lalu di White Hart Lane. Pemuda kelahiran Wales ini jadi motor serangan Spurs dan berbuah kemenangan 2-1. Bale bahkan ikut menyumbang satu dari dua gol kemenangan Spurs itu.

Selain diincar MU, Bales juga sudah diminati Manchester City dan Inter Milan. Namun, nama Setan Merah menjadi kandidat terkuat untuk mendapat jasa Bale terutama karena sosok seniornya di timnas Wales, Ryan Giggs. Setau gw, SAF waktu itu malah beli Nani gan bkn si Bale... Padahal dr awal Bale yg santer bakal dibeli, stlh SAF secara mengejutkan caplok Nani n Ando lsg di Spurs yg United wannabe ga pakai mikir beli si Bale meski waktu itu harga belinya aga mahal namun skrg terbukti ga rugi.

Back to topic, gw yakin United punya jurus pamungkas utk mengatasi Spurs yg skrg lg on fire stlh memanangi 2 derby London... United gw yakin sdh siap, sdgkan Spurs gw yakin sejurjunya lbh tegang mengahadapi match ini nanti dibandingkan yakin. Mereka boleh menang vs Arsenal n Chelsea, namun ke OT melawan United jelas sulit. United pun sdg on fire, menang vs Sh1ty dan hasil chelsea n arsenal yg menguntungkan serta tersingkir dr UCL jelas akan memberikan motivasi besar. Dari sini bisa dibedakan club on fire yg sdh memiliki mental juara dgn club on fire yg angin2an.
