Duo train ahead of weekend

Robin van Persie and Tom Cleverley have trained ahead of Saturday's visit of West Brom in the Barclays Premier League.

United boss David Moyes believes last season's top scorer will be available to feature against the Baggies after missing the matches against Manchester City and Liverpool due to a groin problem. Cleverley, meanwhile, sat out the Capital One Cup win in midweek with a knock as Phil Jones and Ryan Giggs formed the central midfield partnership.

"Robin will be back involved somewhere," revealed Moyes at Friday's press conference. "Whether we use him or whether he don't, he has trained today and is back fit. We will see exactly where he is but he has trained.

"Tom has done a bit of training today as well, he is not too serious. He sort of rocked his knee in training, and we were a bit worried, but he has had no reaction from it. He has done some training today and hopefully he won't be too far away tomorrow either."

Moyes accepts that he is still learning the job at Old Trafford but is keen to ensure the team bounce back from last weekend's derby defeat by getting three points on the board.

"I have been learning every week since the day I walked in as Manchester United manager," he stressed. "I learned something the first day and I have continued to learn since.*

"I don’t think that is going to change for a long time. I even think the manager who has just left was continually learning in the job. I am relatively new to it so I am still learning everything about it.

"I think if you are playing big games, that is part of it. This club has always played in big games, in big finals and games that really matter. The games this week mattered. In some of them, we did better than the others."

Steve Clarke's Albion picked up their first league win of the season against Sunderland last Saturday and were only edged out of the Capital One Cup by Arsenal on penalties in midweek.

"Steve has done a great job," opined Moyes. "Last year, they finished eighth in the Premier League and, for long periods, when I was at Everton, they were the team who were right up with us just behind the teams at the top.*

"So he has done a steady job taking over from Roy Hodgson and, overall, I think West Brom are a stable football club that has continued to progress. They made several signings on deadline day and I am sure he has improved his squad."

Ternyata Cleverley cedera di match COC lalu.

van Persie is back mudah- mudahan bisa tambah pundi- pundi gol.

Prediksi skuadnya:

De Dea
Rafael; Ferdinand/ Evans, Vidic, Evra
Fellaini, Cleverley
Valencia/Nani, Rooney, Kagawa/Nani.

Preview: West Brom

Form guide: David Moyes' men will be looking to make amends for last Sunday's derby defeat by building on the performance in Wednesday night's win over Liverpool in the Capital One Cup. The Baggies clambered out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 victory over Sunderland last weekend, the first time they had claimed all three points this season. A much-changed side was knocked out of the Capital One Cup on penalties by Arsenal on Wednesday.

Ins and outs: Robin van Persie will be "involved", according to his manager, after missing the Man City and Liverpool matches and Tom Cleverley is "not far away" after sustaining a minor knee injury in training.*West Brom striker Matej Vydra, who had a successful season on loan at Watford from*Udinese last term, has been absent with a hamstring problem since late August. West Brom midfielders Zoltan Gera and Chris*Brunt are out with*thigh and groin*injuries respectively, while former United goalkeeper Ben Foster misses out due to a foot problem.

Last meeting: We bade a fond farewell to Sir Alex Ferguson the last time these two sides met with an astonishing 5-5 draw at the Hawthorns.*The Reds were 5-2 up with 10 minutes*remaining before the Baggies secured the unlikeliest of comebacks, but with a 20th league title safely in the bag the manager's career still ended on a high note.

The manager: After serving his apprenticeship with stints as coach or assistant manager at Newcastle, Chelsea, West Ham and Liverpool, Steve Clarke stepped up as a number one for the first time when he succeeded Roy Hodgson at the Hawthorns in the summer of 2012. The Scot had a good first season in charge, guiding*West Brom to eighth place, their*best*finishing position since 1981.*

Star man:*The enigmatic Nicolas Anelka has yet to trouble the scorers since returning to English football this summer, but the experienced French striker certainly has the potential to pose problems for United's defence.

Sub-plot:*United fans may choose to remind Anelka about his penalty miss in Moscow which sealed victory for the Reds in the 2008 Champions League final.

Did you know? West Brom have not won at OT since an epic 5-3 win in December 1978, when they were managed by future Reds boss Ron Atkinson. One of the goal scorers that day was the late Laurie Cunningham, who played five times for United while on*loan from Real Madrid in 1983.

Referee:*Michael Oliver. The 28-year-old Northumberland-based official, who was in charge for the 5-5 last season,*has brandished 11 yellow cards in three Premier League matches so far this season.

Quote/unquote: "I’ve never been afraid of going to Old Trafford. You have to relish it because it’s fantastic. You go there, you go on the pitch, look at the crowd and it makes you feel good. It should make you ready to play the best you can. I don’t hold with the fear factor or the thought that you should go to these places and be intimidated. You should go there and relish the challenge." Steve Clarke, West Brom manager.*
