Sergio Ramos shows off newborn son Sergio Ramos Junior ahead of Real Madrid's crucial La Liga run-in

* Sergio Ramos has become a father for the first time with his partner Pilar Rubio
* The Real Madrid defender has named his son Sergio Ramos Rubio
* Ramos now faces key games as Carlo Ancelotti's men aim to win La Liga and the Champions League

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has introduced his first child to the world after his partner Pilar Rubio gave birth on Tuesday.

The Spain international was pictured outside a Madrid hospital with his newborn son, Serio Ramos Rubio, and his TV presenter girlfriend.

The couple were happy to pose for the cameras, with Ramos Junior safely covered by a blanket.

Loving care: Ramos and Rubio stare at their newborn son as they prepare to take him home for the first time

The former Sevilla star announced his son's name via Twitter on Tuesday, tweeting to his 4.32 million followers: 'We would like to share with you our joy and happiness for the birth of our first child, Sergio Ramos Rubio'

The birth of Ramos' first child comes ahead of a crucial period for him and his Real team-mates, as they aim to finish the season by winning the La Liga title and Champions League.

Carlo Ancelotti's men must win their last two games to have any chance of beating rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona to top spot, while Diego Simeone's side await them in the final of Europe's elite competition in Lisbon later this month.

Sami Khedira could become Chelsea's next summer signing as German's agent reveals no deal has been struck with Arsenal

* Sami Khedira's agent has revealed the German hasn't struck a deal with Arsenal
* Chelsea have been encouraged to battle for Khedira's signature
* Arsenal were understood to have agreed £20m for the midfielder

Chelsea were encouraged to battle for the signature of Sami Khedira on Wednesday night as his agent claimed no deal had yet been struck with Arsenal.

Blues manager Jose Mourinho signed left-back Filipe Luis on Wednesday from Atletico Madrid for £18million and then set his sights on Germany midfielder Khedira.

Arsenal were understood to have agreed a £20million fee with Real Madrid for the 27-year-old but were struggling to match his wage demands of more than £180,000 a week.

On the move: Sami Khedira has not signed a new deal at Real Madrid and is set to leave

However, Khedira’s agent Jorg Neubauer said: ‘We are not in talks with Arsenal. I don’t think a fee can have been agreed, otherwise I would have been told.’

Khedira is a favourite of Mourinho’s from his time at Real and the coach is understood tothings. The same goes for Chelsea.’

Khedira is a favourite of Mourinho’s from his time at Madrid and the coach is understood to have tried to persuade him to move to Stamford Bridge.

Khedira is available as Real Madrid and his representatives have hit an impasse in negotiations over a contract extension.

Neubauer added: ‘We are talking to Real Madrid about his contract, but nothing is close to being decided. Sami has just returned from the World Cup and has gone on holiday.’

Meanwhile, Chelsea confirmed agreement with Atletico for left-back Luis.
The 28-year-old will complete the move once a medical has been passed and personal terms agreed.

Mourinho’s busy summer will continue as he attempts to persuade Khedira to join although his hopes of recruiting £20m-rated Antoine Griezmann too from Real Sociedad could be hit by competition from Monaco and Liverpool for the France forward.

Mourinho plans to have Luis in the squad for a training camp in Austria next week.

Xabi Alonso on the verge of £5m switch to Bayern Munich as Spaniard announces international retirement

* Xabi Alonso is set for a £5million move to Bayern Munich
* Spanish midfielder looks likely to sign two-year deal with Bundesliga champions
* Alonso retired from international football on Wednesday

Xabi Alonso is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich from Real Madrid for around £5million.

The Spanish midfielder who announced his international retirement on Wednesday had been linked with a return to the Premier League in the past with Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea a possible destination.

He was even understood to be on Manchester United’s radar although his text message to Angel Di Maria this week wishing him ‘good luck even thought it’s United’ seemed to confirm that was not going to be possible.

On the move? Xabi Alonso (above) is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich for £5million

Now it seems he has opted for the Bundesliga instead with Pep Guardiola – so often one of his 'Clasico' enemies in Spain – as his new coach.

Real Madrid had expected to sell Sami Khedira this summer but his excessive wage demands put off Arsenal and now it seems Alonso who will be 33 in November will leave instead.

After a long-term injury to Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez the German champions have been on the lookout for a replacement and although chairman Karl-Heinze Rummenigge favoured the younger Khedira Guardiola has insisted on Alonso.

Alonso's move could be sealed on Thursday with the former Liverpool midfielder who has won the European Cup twice earning around £150,000-a-week in a two-year deal.

Real Madrid refuse to confirm interest in Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez with Radamel Falcao another target

* Real Madrid refused to confirm interested in Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez ahead of the transfer window closing
* Carlo Ancelotti's men threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2 at Real Sociedad
* Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale scored early goals for Madrid
* But Inigo Martinez, David Zurutuza's double and Carlos Vela turned the game on its head
* The European champions also reportedly keen on snapping up Monaco forward Radamel Falcao
* They sold stars Angel di Maria and Xabi Alonso

Real Madrid were keeping their cards close to their chest regarding potential deadline-day transfers amid speculation of a possible swoop for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

Madrid, who sold Angel di Maria and Xabi Alonso recently, have been linked with a move for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao while there was speculation they were looking to bring in Mexico international Hernandez on loan.

However, neither Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti nor director Emilio Butragueno were giving anything away following the team's shock 4-2 La Liga defeat at Real Sociedad tonight.

No commet: Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno would not be moved on reported interest in Javier Hernandez

Ancelotti, whose side led 2-0 after 11 minutes against Sociedad only to leave Anoeta empty-handed, said: "This defeat changes nothing regarding the transfer market. It's our problem, of concentration. We have to work much harder not to make these mistakes.

"Something has to change and it's going to change."

Meanwhile, Butragueno, the director of institutional relations at Madrid, said: "There are 24 hours left and if there's something new Madrid will announce it. There's nothing to add or deny."

Target: Radamel Falcao is said to be another player Madrid are interested in

New challenge: Xabi Alonso has swapped Spain for Germany, signing for Bayern Munich

Real Madrid offered £116m to sign Neymar from Santos, says Barcelona forward's dad

* Neymar's father appeared at Spanish National Court in Madrid
* He told court that Real Madrid offered £116m to sign the Brazil star
* Neymar joined Barcelona in £50m deal from Santos last summer

Neymar’s father has told a Spanish court that the Brazilian star rejected a more lucrative move to Real Madrid to join Barcelona instead.

According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Real Madrid offered Santos £116m for Neymar, but he instead joined Barcelona in a £50m deal.

The 22-year-old moved from Brazil to Barcelona last summer in a deal that is being investigated. Spain’s authorities have accused the Catalan club of tax fraud over the transfer.

Neymar’s father is currently in court to defend the contracts made with Barcelona.

The Brazilian forward is into his second season with Barcelona having scored 13 times in his first campaign.

Neymar also scored four times for Brazil during the World Cup, but missed the disastrous 7-1 semi-final thrashing by Germany through injury.

Martin Odegaard faces judgement day at Real Madrid as loan move beckons for underwhelming Norway wonderkid

Martin Odegaard chose to join Real Madrid ahead of a host of elite clubs
The 16-year-old's debut season with the Castilla B team was a disaster
Youngster is competing with James Rodriguez, Isco and Jese in first team
Norway international could find himself out on loan with Villarreal, Rayo Vallecano and Real Betis all possible destinations

Martin Odegaard will wear the white Real Madrid shirt in his home country on August 9 when Real Madrid play their seventh pre-season friendly of the summer against Lavenger FK in Oslo. What he can be less sure about is where he will be playing when the season starts for real.

Nothing has been straightforward for the 16-year-old from Drammen since he moved to Madrid from Strømsgodset last January. He knows he is crucial to his country’s Euro 2016 campaign and it seems the Norwegian FA are taking full advantage of his global status filling his diary with publicity events this summer.

But while he is Norway’s star, he also knows at Real Madrid his introduction into the B-team last season was disastrous, coinciding as it did with their promotion push going completely off the rails. And while he will be flying out on Real Madrid’s summer tour on July 12 he knows that he is probably going to have to go out on loan next season when he comes back if he is to really kickstart his career in Spain.

Martin Odegaard could find himself out on loan after failing to impress in his debut season at Real Madrid

The 16-year-old's introduction into Real Madrid's B team coincided with a downturn in their fortunes

Odegaard looks on from the bench as Zinedine Zidane watches over Real's Castilla

Norway's youngest ever international looks dejected during a goalless Euro qualifier against Azerbaijan

He is at the biggest club in the world and all he wants to do is play football but for now he has no idea where and how he is going to do that.

Rafa Benitez will use Real Madrid’s tour of China, Australia and Germany to have a look at the Norwegian who will not be 17 next December.

Real have a friendly against Roma on July 18 in Melbourne and play Manchester City on July 24. On July 27 they play Inter Milan in Guangzhou at the start of the China leg of the tour, and then against Milan in Shanghai on July 30. They will then contest the Audi Cup in Munich on August 4 and 5 against Tottenham, Milan and Bayern Munich. Then comes that game in Oslo.

He will definitely start the game against Lavenger FK but these are all games in which Odegaard could play a big part in. James Rodriguez will still be recovering from the Copa America so he could get minutes playing in the new 4-2-3-1 Benitez formation which Ronaldo is expected to head up at centre-forward in front of Gareth Bale and two other attacking midfielders.

New Real boss Rafa Benitez (left) will run the rule over the Norwegian during their lengthy pre-season tour

Odegaard replaced Cristiano Ronaldo to make his first team debut against Getafe in the season's final game

He could be one of those two remaining midfield attackers and there are those at the club – including president Florentino Perez – who believe it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he could play for the first team this coming season.

Diego Maradona and Pele both debuted at 15 so why not make Odegaard a regular at 16 goes their logic. He has already made his debut playing 33 minutes in the last game of last season.

But even with a possible vacancy in the team at attacking right-midfield, competition will be tough with Rodriguez, Isco, and Jese to compete with. Former Real Madrid starlet and now Real Sociedad midfielder Sergio Canales can serve as a warning to Odegaard.

James Rodriguez's exertions at the Copa America could lead to an opportunity for Odegaard

Isco (left) and Jese (right) stand in the way of Odegaard's elevation to the Los Blancos' first team

Odegaard chases after the world's most expensive player Gareth Bale during a training session

He featured in Jose Mourinho’s pre-season preparations back in 2010 but once the serious stuff started the teenager found his opportunities limited. He picked up an injury and never got back in the team.

Playing in front of 100,000 people at the Melbourne Cricket Ground will be a fantastic experience, as will following in David Beckham’s footsteps and lapping up the fan worship Madrid will experience in China. But it’s experience of a different sort that he really needs. He has to be playing every week.

There is no shortage of takers with Villarreal the favourites because they play attractive football, because European competition means they have the sort of fixture marathon that requires a big squad, and because Madrid are happy with how things worked out for the last promising youngster they sent them.

Sergio Canales (right) was highly rated in Madrid before an injury saw him sold to Real Sociedad

Villarreal have brought on Real winger Denis Cheryshev (left) on loan and he is now a target for Liverpool

Denis Cheryshev did well under Villarreal coach Marcelino and is now destined for a big move to Liverpool if Raheem Sterling moves on.

But Villarreal is not the only possible destination. There is a chance that as Villarreal push for trophies next season Marcelino will favour more experienced players, Rayo Vallecano would offer an even greater assurance of weekly involvement and he would not have to move away from Madrid.

Paco Jemez is Spanish football’s biggest risk taker so a 16-year-old starter in his team each week is unlikely to give him any sleepless nights. Rayo have a hole to fill too with the departure of another former Real Madrid youngster Alberto Bueno to Porto.

Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has advised the youngster to ditch his dad as his agent

And if Villarreal and Rayo don’t fit the bill and he wants to take Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s somewhat harsh advice (about ditching his dad, who also acts as his agent and his tennis partner after training) then Betis could be the move that best suits him.

Moving down to Andalusia on his own where the passionate support – 50,000 watched Betis win promotion from division two last season – would give him a crash course in growing up. Betis’ coach Pepe Mel will look after him and Betis, like Villareal and Rayo, play the sort of attacking football that will bring the best out of him.

It will be a tough decision and perhaps most importantly – he needs to be the one to decide. Picking the club he wants to move to, earning a place in their starting XI, and having a brilliant season will be his first step on the road to making it at Real Madrid.

Iker Casillas set to join Porto according to Spanish TV as Real Madrid make room for Manchester United keeper David de Gea

* Spanish TV station TVE have reported that Iker Casillas will join Porto
* Real Madrid hope to sign Manchester United's David de Gea this summer
* Porto are managed by former Real Madrid and Spain keeper Julen Lopetegui
* De Gea returned for pre-season training with Manchester United on Monday
* Real could pay a portion of Casillas' salary for the next two years if he leaves

Iker Casillas is poised to move to Porto and unlock David de Gea's move to Real Madrid from Manchester United, according to national television in Spain.

TVE reported on Monday that the Portuguese side coached by Spaniard Julen Lopetegui have bid for Casillas and the Spain captain is giving the offer serious consideration.

Both De Gea and Real Manager Rafa Benitez are keen to have Casillas at another club before the start of next season so the controversy over who plays in goal at the Santiago Bernabeu does not overshadow the season as has happened in the last three campaigns.

Iker Casillas is set to leave Real Madrid for Porto this summer according to Spanish TV station TVE

Shifting Casillas from No 1 spot at Madrid has not been easy. A veteran of 25 seasons in which he has won five leagues, two Spanish Cups and three Champions Leagues, Casillas has clung on despite the efforts of first Jose Mourinho and later president Florentino Perez.

Benitez is not in favour of using one goalkeeper in the league and one goalkeeper in the Champions League as Carlo Ancelotti did two years ago, so if De Gea arrived it would mean the Spanish legend would be reduced to just playing Copa del Rey games.

Casillas is understood to see Porto as a good fit especially as they are coached by Lopetegui, who appeared as a keeper for Real Madrid and Spain.

Casillas' agent told Portuguese newspaper Record on Monday: 'Iker is enthusiastic about possibility of Porto. Real Madrid already has the proposal and know the will of Iker.'
TVE, who reported the offer, also reported last month that Real Madrid are willing to ensure Casillas earns the same at his new club over the next two seasons as he would have earned by staying at Madrid until the end of his contract in 2017.

This would be done by paying the difference between the £3.9million salary he earns at Madrid and what his new club are prepared to pay him.

Lopetugui already has six Spaniards in his squad and both his assistant coaches are Spanish. If Casillas completes the move he could even face Real Madrid in next season's Champions League.
