Re: Sergio Romero
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti 'eyeing move for Manchester United's Sergio Romero' as he wants to provide competition for Jordan Pickford
* Everton may look to make a move for Manchester United's Sergio Romero * Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring in competition for Jordan Pickford next season * The Toffees boss was unimpressed with the England's keepers performances Everton are reportedly interested in swooping for Manchester United's Sergio Romero to put pressure on Jordan Pickford at Goodison Park, according to The Mirror. Carlo Ancelotti was unimpressed with Pickford last season, as he made four mistakes leading to goals, with Everton finishing the season down in the bottom half of the table. Meanwhile, Romero has been second choice at United, with David de Gea still preferred as number one at Old Trafford. The Argentinian is growing weary of playing second fiddle, as he has only made a total of 61 appearances for the club since arriving in 2015. Plus, with Dean Henderson being eyed as de Gea's long-term replacement, Romero is unlikely to get much more playing time with United. Henderson has just arrived back at United after an impressive two years on loan at Sheffield United. Everton are eyeing a move for Manchester United's backup goalkeeper Sergio Romero. Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring in some competition for Jordan Pickford at Goodison Park. Ancelotti was unimpressed with the mistakes Pickford made which led to goals last season Leeds are also reportedly keeping an eye on the Romero situation, and may look to bring in the Argentina international themselves. Ancelotti is looking to strengthen his lineup this summer to improve on their position in the table. The Toffees have reached an agreement with Napoli for Allan, and are also hoping to wrap up a deal for James Rodriguez. Code:
