Re: [UEL] AC Milan vs Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed sizeable boost as Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani return to Manchester United training ahead of Europa League second leg tie against AC Milan
* Midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Edinson Cavani have returned to club training * Pogba has not featured since February 6, while Cavani has missed three games * Donny van de Beek and goalkeeper David de Gea also featured at Carrington * United travel to the San Siro to face Italian giants AC Milan on Thursday evening Manchester United have received a sizeable boost as Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani have returned to training ahead of their crunch Europa League tie against AC Milan. United drew 1-1 at Old Trafford on March 11, and travel to the San Siro to face the Italian giants in their round of 16 second leg on Thursday. French midfielder Pogba has not featured since being taken off in the 3-3 draw against Everton on February 6, while striker Cavani was withdrawn against Crystal Palace earlier this month and has missed three matches since then. Joining the duo back on the training pitch is Dutchman Donny van de Beek, who was named as a substitute against Chelsea on February 28 but has not been on the pitch since coming on against West Bromwich Albion on February 14. Goalkeeper David de Gea also returned to Carrington after a period of self-isolation following his return to Spain for the birth of his child. The returnees provide a welcome fillip to boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Cavani likely to start up front ahead of Anthony Martial, who could return for Thursday's game but is likely to be behind Cavani in the pecking order even if fit. Paul Pogba (centre) and Edinson Cavani (right) have returned to Manchester United training. The news comes as a boost to boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Thursday's AC Milan clash. Cavani is likely to start ahead of Anthony Martial while Frenchman Pogba could also play a part. Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek also returned at United's Carrington training pitch Cavani, 34, has faced AC Milan during his stints at Palermo and Napoli in Serie A, and with his continental experience, movement and finishing acumen is highly prized in a United side who have only scored four in their last six matches in all competitions. Pogba has also been a big miss for the Red Devils, with the more prosaic Fred, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic providing perspiration but not much inspiration from midfield in the Frenchman's absence. The 39-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to return to face his former employers and replace the doubtful Rafael Leao, with Ismael Bennacer, Alessio Romagnoli and United loanee Diogo Dalot also set to return to the side. However, full-back Davide Calabria and experienced forward Mario Mandzukic are likely to miss out. Code:

Re: [UEL] AC Milan vs Manchester United
Manchester United welcome back David de Gea, Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba for crunch Europa League trip to AC Milan, reveals Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - but Edinson Cavani misses out after a 'reaction' to final training session
* David de Gea, Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba are all back for the trip to Milan * But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Edinson Cavani will sit out the game * Eric Bailly, Anthony Martial and Shola Shoretire will also miss out on Thursday * Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be fit to face his former club according to Stefano Pioli Manchester United have welcomed back David de Gea, Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba for the Europa League last-16 away leg against AC Milan, but Edinson Cavani will miss out after suffering a 'reaction' to their final training session. With the tie poised at 1-1 ahead of the crunch game at San Siro this Thursday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be pleased to see Pogba return following a thigh complaint against Everton last month. De Gea is back from paternity leave in Spain but Eric Bailly, Anthony Martial and Shola Shoretire will sit out the trip along with Cavani, with the defender's fitness having been assessed late on. 'We are happy to have Donny back, Paul and David,' Solskjaer told MUTV. 'Big players. Unfortunately, it looks like Edinson has got a bit of a reaction to training today and didn’t feel ready to travel. 'Eric is being assessed. I might be wrong there [in saying he was out]. He might have turned around and said he’s ready but he didn’t train this morning.' The absence of Cavani will be a blow to United given the Uruguayan striker has scored seven goals this season and the Red Devils lack firepower, with just four goals in their last six games. David de Gea (left), Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba (right) are back for Manchester United. Edinson Cavani will not travel to Milan for the Europa League game after a 'reaction to training' He has missed three matches since being taken off earlier this month with a muscle injury against Crystal Palace and returned to training this week alongside Pogba and Van de Beek, who has not played since February 14. Pogba should inject some much-needed creativity in midfield while Van de Beek will hope to contribute after reports said he could leave United due to a lack of game time. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is fit to face his former club according to Milan boss Stefano Pioli, having missed the game at Old Trafford with a thigh injury. But the Rossoneri are waiting on the fitness of Davide Calabria, Rafael Leao, Alessio Romagnoli and Ante Rebic. Code:
