UNITED V WOLVES: THE ESSENTIAL INFO

Manchester United return to action at Old Trafford on Saturday when the Reds host newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho’s men are now firmly focused on domestic action, following the midweek Champions League victory against Young Boys, and will be aiming to extend our winning streak to four matches.

However, the Reds will face a tough test in the form of Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves. The West Midlands club have recruited strongly and have their sights set on at least consolidating their place in the top-flight this season.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s fixture…

WHAT'S THE TEAM NEWS?
The boss has confirmed that Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera won't be ready to return against Wolves, but Phil Jones is available for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury against Tottenham last month. Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford will both be unavailable for selection, as both are suspended in domestic games following red cards against Watford and Burnley respectively. Diogo Dalot won't feature against Wolves - to ensure he's “totally fresh” to play in Tuesday's Carabao Cup third-round tie against Derby County.

HOW ABOUT WOLVES?
As for the visitors, Nuno Espirito Santo will be without Ivan Cavaleiro, who has a back injury. The Portuguese forward is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season, with his last competitive appearance coming at the back-end of Wolves's promotion-winning campaign.

HOW HAVE WOLVES STARTED THE SEASON?
The Midlands outfit have not rested on their laurels since winning promotion, with a wealth of foreign talent arriving at the club over the summer, including goalkeeper Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho. So far, the newly-promoted side have settled into the Premier League like a hand in a glove, drawing against Manchester City and only losing one of their opening five fixtures which sees them lie ninth in the table going into this weekend’s match at Old Trafford.

WHAT’S OUR OVERALL RECORD LIKE AGAINST WOLVES?
United have won 48 of the 98 previous meetings against this weekend’s visitors. The most recent meeting was a 5-0 victory for the Reds at Molineux in March 2012 as Wolves were on their way towards relegation. The visitors haven't won at Old Trafford since 1980.

WHO’S THE REFEREE?
Kevin Friend will be the man in the middle on Saturday afternoon. The Leicestershire-based official will take charge of his second United game of the season already, after handling the 3-2 defeat at Brighton last month. Last term, Friend refereed three fixtures for the Reds, all three of them victories – against Derby in the FA Cup and Huddersfield and Arsenal in the Premier League.

TEAM NEWS FOR WOLVES CLASH

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera are not ready to return for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Wolves on Saturday.

Argentina defender Rojo is yet to feature for the first team this season, after sustaining a knee injury during this summer's World Cup, although he did make a 55-minute guest appearance for United's Under-23s a week ago. Meanwhile midfielder Herrera has missed the last two senior matches after picking up a problem in training.

The Reds will be also be without Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford, who are suspended. Matic is serving a one-match ban following his dismissal against Watford last weekend, while Rashford will have to miss the Wolves match and Tuesday’s Carabao Cup third-round tie against Derby County before he can be selected again.

When asked by MUTV’s Mark Sullivan how his squad is shaping up, Mourinho said: “There are small things but nothing important. At this moment, Marcos Rojo is not training with the team, but Herrera is in the final phase of his recovery. Apart from them [and the suspended players], everyone is ready.”

Jose also added in his pre-match press conference that Phil Jones is “OK” now, having not featured since sustaining a hamstring injury against Tottenham last month.

Fellow defender Diogo Dalot, who made a positive debut against Young Boys last time out, won’t play against Wolves - to ensure that he is “totally fresh” to feature in the League Cup against Derby next week.

United have only had a couple of days to prepare for Saturday’s match, following the 3-0 win over Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

“The two days in between [games] are hard,” the boss admitted, when asked about the team’s preparations during a busy schedule. “When you have three days, it’s much easier and you have one day to work tactically.

“When you have two days, it’s much, much, much more difficult because everything is about recovering from the match and then preparing for the next one. But the team is finding stability and confidence levels are important. We're back at home after three away wins, and I think the atmosphere will be very positive for us. We know it’s going to be difficult but we are confident.”

HOW ARE WOLVES SHAPING UP?

The visitors, who have won their last two Premier League games by a 1-0 scoreline against West Ham United away and Burnley at home, are only set to be without one first-team player.

Portuguese forward Ivan Cavaleiro is yet to feature so far this term after sustaining a back injury during pre-season.

Fellow attacker Raul Jimenez scored the winner against Burnley at Molineux last Sunday, having returned from international duty with Mexico early after suffering “small muscular discomfort” in their 4-1 defeat to Uruguay.

The Midlands outfit have no former Reds in their ranks, as Mourinho and Portuguese compatriot Nuno Espirito Santo prepare to face each other as managers for the first time.

Dicecar terus dari sisi kiri pertahanan united karena mereka tahu shaw lebih sering overlap daripada valencia. Tapi kelemahan justru ada di sisi pertahanan pelapis defender

Ada ungkapan yang bilang pertahanan terbaik adalah menyerang. Itulah yang seharusnya dilakukan United. Mau kiper De Gea, bek Alderweireld atau DM sekelas Makalele pun nggak akan berguna kalau lini depan United nggak punya visi menyerang. Sudah berkali2 terjadi, United nggak jelas visi menyerangnya dan justru jadi bumerang karena lawan bisa serangan balik dan mencuri gol.

Sorotan pertama Lukaku. Semua tahu Lukaku adalah targetman yang susah diharapkan ikut membantu serangan. Kontrol bola biasa aja, passing medioker yang tampak asal umpan aja, dribel buruk dan pergerakan tanpa bolanya minim. Jadi klo mengajak Lukaku main tik tak ya aneh. Semalam United malah mengajak Lukaku bermain tik tak. Hasilnya ya tau sendiri, Lukaku nggak ada kontribusinya sama sekali.

Kedua Lingard dan Sanchez. Secara individu bagus tapi gaya mainnya nggak cocok dengan Lukaku. Keduanya tipe yang main tik tak dengan tempo yang lambat gitu. Ya mentok pas kena Lukaku. Lebih2 Lingard yang nggak fasih jadi winger. Nggak jelas perannya saat jadi sayap kanan.

Ketiga Pogba. Satu hal yang bisa aku pastikan dari Pogba sejauh ini. Klo Pogba mulai nahan2 bola atau berusaha pamer skill bola artinya mimpi buruk buat United. Sesekali dribelnya yahud dan bikin yang nonton tepuk tangan, tapi itu sama sekali tidak efektif. Lebih sering pemain lawan bisa merebut bola dari Pogba. Masalahnya saat itu terjadi yang ada justru serangan balik berbahaya ke pertahanan United. Contoh paling mudah saat United menang 3-2 di kandang City musim lalu. Di babak I penyakitnya Pogba keluar. Hasilnya lini belakang United bener2 dibombardir. Harusnya De Gea kebobolan lebih dari 2 gol. Tapi di babak II berkat wejangan Carrick akhirnya Pogba bermain lebih simpel dan cepat. Hasilnya terlihat jelas, Pogba jadi kunci permainan United.

Kesalahan fatal United semalam menurutku itu tidak meyakinkan saat menyerang. Wolves bisa balik menyerang balik dengan cepat. Kiper sekelas De Gea ya bakal kelabakan kalau kena tendangan seperti Moutinho.

Klo udh gini yang pantas dipertanyakan ya gimana manajernya. Nggak jelas maunya gimana. Kayak nggak tau tipikal pemainnya gimana dan gimana taktik yang pas dengan pemain yang ada.
