Default Re: Pengganti De Gea ? (jika beneran pindah)

Paling bener jika De Gea pindah ya Romero jadi kiper pertama, Dean kedua dan Lee Grant ketiga.
Kalau beli pemain lagi kan klub keluar uang di tengah masa krisis, hehehe...

Manchester United players believe Dean Henderson is closing in on David De Gea's spot as first-choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford as academy product prepares for EFL Cup start against Brighton

* David De Gea has conceded five goals in his first two games of the league season
* The Manchester United number one is under pressure from Dean Henderson
* Manchester United's players believe Henderson could usurp De Gea in the nets
* Henderson is set to start Wednesday's EFL Cup tie away at Brighton

Manchester United players believe Dean Henderson is closing in on David De Gea's position as first-choice goalkeeper.

De Gea has started the season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's No 1 in the Premier League following Henderson's return to Old Trafford in the summer following two successful season loan spells at Sheffield United.

But Sportsmail sources have described the battle to be United's recognised first-choice as 'very tight' while there is a sense among members of the United squad that Henderson is applying mounting pressure on De Gea.

Man United players believe David De Gea (left) will be dropped for Dean Henderson (right). De Gea has started both of Manchester United's league matches, conceding five goals

Having come through the United academy, Henderson made his United debut in the 3-0 win over Luton in the Carabao Cup last week and is expected to be given a fresh opportunity in Wednesday's clash against Brighton in the same competition.

And another assured performance at the AMEX Stadium against Premier League opposition will push Henderson closer towards his ambition of overtaking De Gea.

Speaking earlier this month, Henderson heavily hinted that he wouldn't to be satisfied with a role on the United bench this season, saying: 'It wouldn't be clever for me to sit around and not play football, I don't think it would help any parties at all.

Henderson will start United's EFL Cup tie away at Brighton this week with De Gea in his sights

'You can get many things from training, and obviously learn off someone like David himself and the other goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches. But I don't think there's any substitute for game-time.'

Elsewhere, it is understood United are preparing to activate a one year extension option on midfielder Paul Pogba's contract.

The World Cup winner is approaching the final 18 months of his current contract - but can trigger an extra year on his deal to protect his value.

United, it is understood, are still to formally discuss a longer extension to Pogba's contract but know they have a safety net of extending his existing deal.

Gary Neville casts doubt over whether Dean Henderson 'can be Manchester United's goalkeeper for the next 10 years' - and says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was RIGHT to stick by David de Gea

* David de Gea and Dean Henderson have been battling it out at Man United
* The pair are both vying to be the No 1 goalkeeper at Old Trafford this season
* David de Gea is winning the battle under United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Gary Neville believes Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the right choice by backing David de Gea as the club's No 1, as he reserves judgement on goalkeeping understudy Dean Henderson.

The goalkeeping position at Old Trafford was a source of contention going into the season with De Gea's position under threat from a returning Henderson who had excelled on loan at Sheffield United.

Henderson had plenty of suitors off the back of stint at Bramall Lane but Solskjaer convinced him to fight for a place at United instead.

Gary Neville believes it was the right decision to keep David de Gea as Manchester United's first-choice goalkeeper instead of Dean Henderson. Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has kept faith with De Gea this season. And Neville believes the Red Devils manager has made the correct move in doing so

However, the England international - who has ambitions on going to the delayed Euros next summer - has had to play second fiddle to De Gea this season.

The Spaniard has had an upturn in form since Henderson's return and Neville feels Solskjaer was right to stick with him in goal as Henderson is yet to prove he can handle the demands of playing for big club like United on a consistent basis.

'I think De Gea is the No 1 as Henderson has a lot to do in my mind. I don't get carried away by a young and talented goalkeeper at Manchester United,' the club legend told Viaplay Fotball.

'I've seen it before over the last 25 years where there have been young and talented goalkeepers who have threatened to come in but to stand in those goals at the club, in particular when fans come back into the stadium, then they are big, big boots to fill. Only Edwin van der Sar and Peter Schmeichel have filled those boots in my time, while David de Gea has now.

De Gea has featured 12 times for United so far this season, with Henderson featuring four times

'I think he's [De Gea] probably been better this season. I was nervous about him towards the end of last season and I think even Ole would've been looking at him and thinking "you're not far away from being left out".

'But I think now he's stuck with him, which I think is the right thing to do. If you're going to take someone like him out then you have to make sure that you're absolutely certain because once you take him out of the team you really are moving his confidence away and he may as well leave the club.

'For me, I think it's exciting that Henderson is coming through but I reserve my judgement on whether he can become somebody who can go in Manchester United's goal in the next 10 years.'

De Gea has featured 12 times for United so far this campaign, compared to Henderson's four.

De Gea suffered a knee injury during Sunday's 3-2 Premier League win at Southampton but was fit enough to start Wednesday night's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, much to Henderson's disappointment.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer warns Manchester United's No 1 David de Gea that 'he must earn his place' in the team following costly blunders in draw against Everton as Dean Henderson waits in the wings

* Goalkeeper De Gea was at fault for two Everton goals on Saturday
* Solskjaer has warned that no-one’s place is safe at Manchester United
* Henderson likely to be in goal for FA Cup tie against West Ham on Tuesday

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned David de Gea that no-one’s place is safe at Manchester United following the goalkeeper’s latest blunders in the draw with Everton.

United were pegged back after going two goals ahead at Old Trafford and then conceded a last-minute equaliser as they were held 3-3 by Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

De Gea was criticised for pushing the ball out straight to Abdoulaye Doucoure for Everton’s first goal and then making a weak attempt to block Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring the third.

Manchester United keeper David de Gea was at fault for two Everton goals on Saturday

Dean Henderson is likely to be in goal for United’s FA Cup tie against West Ham at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, and it will be interesting to see what happens if he plays well.

Not for the first time, Solskjaer was asked about De Gea’s position and said: ‘Every player has to earn his place. We’re a squad with competition and that applies to every single one in the team.’

The United boss admitted it was disappointing that Everton had three shots on target and scored three goals.

De Gea was criticised for making a weak attempt in a bid to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Calvert-Lewin’s equaliser was reminiscent of the goal De Gea conceded to RB Leipzig’s Justin Kluivert in United’s 3-2 Champions League defeat in December when Paul Scholes claimed that his old teammate had ‘bottled it’.

‘He was scared of getting himself hurt, it’s criminal,’ added Scholes at the time.

On this occasion Gary Neville was critical of De Gea for not being more robust in challenging Calvert-Lewin as he touched the ball home after a 95th-minute free kick was flicked on.

‘De Gea doesn’t come out in line with the ball,’ Neville told Sky Sports. ‘You want him to come out and eat the striker.’

Jamie Redknapp added: ‘De Gea has got to take everything. He’s got to be brave and assess the situation. If he comes out with authority, I have no doubt he wins this. He was at fault for the first goal and certainly at fault there.’

Graeme Souness claims 'it's only a matter of time' before Dean Henderson replaces David de Gea in goal for Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'can only tolerate Spaniard's mistakes for so long'

* David de Gea has been criticised since making two mistakes against Everton
* Dean Henderson is waiting in the wings for his opportunity at Old Trafford
* Graeme Souness is confident Henderson will replace de Gea in a matter of time

Graeme Souness has claimed that it is only 'a matter of time' before Dean Henderson replaces David de Gea in goal for Manchester United.

The Sky Sports pundit's comments come in the wake of two costly mistakes made by the Spaniard as United relinquished a 3-1 lead, to draw 3-3 against Everton last week.

Questions have been raised over de Gea due to his drop in performance levels and an increasing number of mistakes in recent seasons.

Graeme Souness says it's a 'matter of time' before Dean Henderson (R) replaces David de Gea. Souness said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can only tolerate De Gea's mistakes for so long

And Souness believes sooner or later that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to run out of patience with his error-prone No 1.

He said: 'I'm a fan of Dean Henderson. It's only a matter of time. You look at Sheffield United's plight, he is the single biggest reason why they are where they are.

'David de Gea is making mistakes, a manager can only tolerate that for so long. If the goalkeeper is making mistakes, it impacts the rest of the team.'

Manchester United's legendary right-back, Gary Neville, has also questioned the 30-year-old shot-stopper.

He told the Webby and O'Neill YouTube channel that his former team-mate Solskjaer 'needs to deal' with the club's goalkeeper situation.

Neville added that if Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola were managers of United, that they would immediately sign a new goalkeeper.

Ahead of United's Premier League match with West Brom, he said: 'There's a real problem brewing for Ole in the next few months. He has Henderson issues building behind de Gea.

'There comes a point where (de Gea) is making mistakes too regularly. Man United need to win a title, no team can win a title without a great goalkeeeper.

'David de Gea was a great goalkeeper, but it's not just the mistakes he's making - the saves are less. He's not the same level he has been.'

Gary Neville says de Gea is no longer at the same level he was several seasons ago. The ex-United defender urged boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to clarify who is No 1 is

The Red Devils go into their game against West Brom eight points off leaders Manchester City.

With Pep Guardiola's side looking unbeatable at the moment, United need to pick up their consistency and hope City drop points if they are to mount a title challenge.

Sky Sports pundit Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink added on United's goalkeeper situation: 'Alisson is having a bad time but last year he was one of the best in the league or the year before. He saved them time and time again. If Man United is going to progress and go for the title they have to address that position.

'Or he (De Gea) has to go and play better or Henderson will get an opportunity and it's up to Henderson. I don't know if Henderson is good enough for the title but the goalkeeper coach will.

'He works day in, day out. Normally you know what kind of character he has. If De Gea keeps on making mistakes, Hendo will get his opportunity and we will see.'

David De Gea or Dean Henderson 'will be allowed to LEAVE this summer' with Man United goalkeepers fighting it out to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's No 1

* Manchester United will allow either David de Gea or Dean Henderson to leave
* Battle to be first-choice goalkeeper has reportedly caused problems at the club
* United looking to bring in goalkeeper who wouldn't mind being second choice

Manchester United are reportedly set to move either David de Gea or Dean Henderson on this summer.

The two goalkeepers have been in competition this season, with de Gea having made 22 Premier League appearances while Henderson has featured just three times.

According to The Sun, the battle between de Gea, 30, and Henderson, 23, has become a problem behind the scenes and United are eager for one of them to leave either permanently or on loan.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bring in a talented goalkeeper who wouldn't be frustrated by being second choice.

De Gea has made over 400 appearances for United in almost a decade at the club but has made some high-profile errors in recent years, including against Everton earlier this month, when he was at fault for a goal scored by Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Manchester United are planning to sell either Dean Henderson (right) or David de Gea (left). The battle between de Gea and Henderson has reportedly caused problems behind the scenes. United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring in a new goalkeeper as second choice

Henderson, who had two loan spells at Sheffield United, is determined to play regularly for Solskjaer's side, especially as he wants to earn further recognition for England, for whom he has one cap so far.

In a recent meeting Henderson was reportedly informed that only one of him and de Gea will still be at United next season.

De Gea's contract runs until the summer of 2023, while Henderson has over four years remaining on his deal.

After saving Manchester United's skin in the final moments against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night... is it time for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to trust Dean Henderson in goal?

* Dean Henderson made just his third Premier League start for Manchester United
* The England goalkeeper made a fine last-gasp save from Patrick Van Aanholt
* David de Gea missed the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace due to personal reasons

On Wednesday night, the decision was taken out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's hands, with David de Gea missing against Crystal Palace due to personal reasons. In a few months it will be entirely his to make.

Along with which positions to strengthen, settling on who will be Manchester United's No 1 long term will be another of Solskjaer's summer headaches.

De Gea's absence at Palace meant just a third Premier League start for Dean Henderson.

Mostly, he has had to make do with game time in the cups this season. That is not the level of opportunity the England keeper would have expected this season nor, perhaps, what he has deserved.

It certainly will not cut it next season. Henderson, 23, has ambitions for club and country and another season of playing second fiddle won't satisfy a stopper whose admirable determination to get out and play has been a feature of his young career.

In the main this season Solskjaer has preferred the safer option of the two, De Gea's pedigree and experience earning the 30-year-old the nod.

Dean Henderson kept a clean sheet in goal against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening. The Manchester United goalkeeper saved superbly from Patrick Van Aanholt at the end. The United goalkeeper was faultless at Palace and he will now want to cement himself as No 1. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to decide this summer who is United's long-term No 1 keeper

Henderson though is the future and a more positive, commanding and communicative goalkeeper, qualities appreciated by his team-mates.

Right at the death, Henderson spared United defeat with a brilliant one-on-one-save to deny Patrick Van Aanholt.

Before that, his handling was faultless with a couple of confident and pressure-relieving claims, exactly the sort defenders always welcome.

Is he United's future specifically over the long-serving De Gea? That is Solskjaer's call to make.

As United legend Gary Neville said when the No 1 position was brought up in a Twitter Q&A on Wednesday: 'A big decision is coming soon.'

Dean Henderson grabs his chance to give David de Gea cause for concern - the 23-year-old goalkeeper produced an assured display against Manchester City in the Spaniard's absence

* David de Gea missed Sunday's Manchester derby to attend the birth of his child
* The Spaniard won't return to the United side until after the international break
* Dean Henderson kept his ninth clean sheet during United's 2-0 win at the Etihad
* The 23-year-old keeper also played a vital part in creating Luke Shaw's goal

Unless his duties as a new dad were keeping him otherwise engaged, David de Gea would have been watching the 185th Manchester derby on a TV screen in Spain on Sunday.

For the first time in nearly a decade, the Manchester United goalkeeper wasn’t lining up in a Premier League game against Manchester City; a sequence spanning 19 derbies since United’s 6-1 defeat to their neighbours in October 2011.

It would be fascinating to hear De Gea’s thoughts as a spectator on this occasion, and in particular the performance of the young man who now has the position of United’s No 1 firmly in his sights.

Dean Henderson has never made any secret of his intention to depose De Gea since returning to the club after two years on loan at Sheffield United in October.

Dean Henderson replaced De Gea in goal and put in an assured display for the Red Devils. Henderson played a vital role in Luke Shaw's goal which put United 2-0 up at the Etihad

Satisfying the 23-year-old’s ambitions while respecting De Gea’s status as first-choice has been an awkward balancing act for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ever since, but the events of last week felt like a critical shift in that process.

Of course, Solskjaer was showing a human touch by signing De Gea off until after the international break so he could be with his partner Edurne Garcia in Spain following the birth of their baby daughter Yanay.

But would the United manager have given Bruno Fernandes a month off going into a crucial run of games in the league, Europe and FA Cup? Harry Maguire? Marcus Rashford?

The break also allows Solskjaer to indulge Henderson’s craving for more minutes, and meant the England goalkeeper started back-to-back league games for the first time at the Etihad in front of the watching Gareth Southgate.

Pressing his international claims ahead of Euro 2020 has also been uppermost in Henderson’s mind, and in that sense too the timing of De Gea’s hiatus has worked out well for him.

The opportunity is there and it’s clear we were watching United’s next No.1 on Sunday. It’s just a question of when Solskjaer makes that transition, and his handling of the situation when De Gea returns will be intriguing.

Henderson did his cause the power of good with a ninth clean sheet in 15 appearances this season, in what is likely to be the toughest of the matches he is set to play in De Gea’s absence.

City will be kicking themselves that they didn’t do more to test him. Henderson turned away a shot from Oleksandr Zinchenko in the first half and produced a rather unconvincing parry from Riyad Mahrez’s effort in injury-time that could have been punished on another occasion.

Otherwise, he took it all in his stride as City, for once, were found wanting in front of goal. Rodri hit the upright, Raheem Sterling fluffed a chance from close-range and Mahrez fired wide of the post but that was about it.

Henderson even had a hand in United’s second goal, releasing an excellent quick throw to Luke Shaw who made the break and then finished the move with a low shot.

‘He’s just growing, getting more and more mature,’ said Solskjaer afterwards. ‘I’m very happy with him. His presence out there, there’s a future top keeper there.’

The manager’s appraisal brought agreement from his old teammate Roy Keane on Sky Sports.

‘The goalkeeper was excellent,’ said Keane. ‘Ole used the word presence and that’s what all great goalkeepers have. I think this kid has great chance of being a brilliant goalkeeper for Man United.’

Back home in Madrid, De Gea replied to a celebratory tweet from the club’s official account with a happy emoji. He will be pleased for his teammates, and particularly for Henderson, but it’s clear their battle has entered a new phase.

ujian pertama Henderson diderby sudah berhasil dilewati, jika bisa terus cleansheet dan melakukan banyak penyelamatan ketika menggantikan De Gea yg absen karena lahiran anaknya, sepertinya posisi penjaga gawang musim depan akan menjadi milik Henderson

Paul Scholes claims Dean Henderson has now 'taken over' as Manchester United's first-choice goalkeeper after picking up another clean sheet against AC Milan... with ex-Red Devils star more 'relaxed' with the youngster in goal than with David de Gea

* Manchester United beat AC Milan 1-0 in the Europa League last-16 second-leg
* Dean Henderson kept yet another clean sheet for the Red Devils at the San Siro
* The 24-year-old goalkeeper made one impressive save from Zlatan Ibrahimovic
* Paul Scholes claims Henderson has replaced David de Gea as United's No 1

Paul Scholes believes Dean Henderson has now 'taken over' from David de Gea as Manchester United's first-choice goalkeeper after a clean sheet at AC Milan.

The 24-year-old put in an assured performance at the San Siro to help the Red Devils reach the Europa League quarter-finals. Paul Pogba scored the only goal of the second-leg to put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side through with a 2-1 aggregate win.

Henderson was called into action a couple of times - making one vital stop from Milan substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic late on - which has convinced Scholes that he is now Solskjaer's first-choice option in net.

Paul Scholes claims Dean Henderson is now Manchester United's number one goalkeeper and not David de Gea. Henderson (left) helped United to a 1-0 win at AC Milan and saved well from Zlatan Ibrahimovic

When asked who the club's No 1 shot stopper, former United midfielder told BT Sport: 'I think it's Henderson now. He's taken over.

'I thought David had been lucky after the Everton game (in February) to keep his place. There were a couple of mistakes there. A few things before and after that - not glaring mistakes - but I feel more confidence with Henderson in there. I'm a little more relaxed.

'I'm not having a go at David. He's been a brilliant goalkeeper and could still be if Dean doesn't take his chance. But the time has come to give him (Henderson) a run in the team.

Paul Scholes claims he feels more relaxed with Henderson in goal rather than De Gea. De Gea has been slammed for several errors this season - including two against Everton

'He's been picked in the England squad, he should be number one for England as well. He was really calm tonight and did what he did which was safe.'

Academy graduate Henderson was handed a run in the United team earlier this month after first-choice goalkeeper De Gea travelled to Spain to be with his wife for the birth of the couple's first child.

Sportsmail revealed earlier this month that United boss Solskjaer told De Gea not to rush back to Manchester in order to give Henderson more minutes in the first-team.

Henderson has since kept three consecutive Premier League clean sheets as well as playing in both of United's matches with Milan in Europa League.

The goalkeeper came under criticism after the first-leg at Old Trafford for allowing Simon Kjaer's late equaliser to go through his hands and give Milan hope via a crucial away goal.

But fellow BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves claims it takes courage to come back with a resilient performance just a week later.

Hargreaves added: 'You only know players - goalkeeper, outfield or whatever - when you make mistakes. He will be the first one to say he should have saved that one from the other day.

'It's going to be hard to get him out, as good as David's been for United. He's a really confident and vocal guy.

De Gea has not reclaimed his first-choice goalkeeper spot since returning from personal leave. Henderson has kept three top-flight clean sheets but made an error against Milan last week

'I think he deserves a lot of praise for bouncing back and putting in a good performance.'

Solskjaer himself took some time to praise Henderson for his save from Ibrahimovic, which prevented the Europa League last-16 tie from going into extra-time.

The Norwegian told BT: 'You give yourself a chance to win a game of football (with a performance like that). Dean had a fantastic save from the big lad. I'm pleased with everyone's defending.'

cleansheet di derby, error di 1st leg vs Milan, 2nd leg membuat 4 saves, salah satunya menepis tandukan Ibra. sepertinya sudah setengah jalan Henderson bakal jadi kiper no.1 musim depan menggantikan De Gea. Henderson juga sudah dipanggil lagi ke timnas

Default Re: Pengganti De Gea ? (jika beneran pindah)

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer puts David de Gea on notice by insisting he has 'TWO No 1s' right now having chosen Dean Henderson to start against Brighton... but Rio Ferdinand insists Manchester United boss' tactic does NOT work

* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer picked Dean Henderson over David de Gea in goal
* The Manchester United boss said he had 'two No 1's' who are both 'very good'
* But the decision is seen as another indication that de Gea is on his way out
* Rio Ferdinand insisted that Solskjaer's claim of two No 1's does not work

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said Manchester United have 'two No 1's' after picking Dean Henderson over David de Gea in Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton.

Question marks have been hovering over de Gea's future at Old Trafford, with reports that he will leave the Red Devils at the end of the season.

Henderson has impressed since deputising for de Gea - who returned to Spain for the birth of his child last month - so much so that Solskjaer has chosen him over the Spanish mainstay.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chose Dean Henderson to start against Brighton. Henderson was picked over David de Gea (right), suggesting the latter's time at United is over

Asked what people should read into the fact that Henderson had been chosen over de Gea, Solskjaer told BT Sport: 'That I've got two very, very good goal-keepers.

'Two No 1's, simple as. Two No 1's and that's it.'

De Gea is United's highest paid player on a whopping £350,000 a week, but Henderson signed a six-year £120,000-a -week deal last August. At 24, he appears to be United's long-term option, with de Gea now 30.

Speaking before the match, Rio Ferdinand said the idea of two No 1's isn't possible and that de Gea's position may become untenable.

Solskjaer was cagey about the decision, saying he has 'two No 1's' who are 'very, very good'. Rio Ferdinand said there's 'no chance' de Gea will stay if Henderson is now United's new No 1

‘If Dean Henderson finishes the season as number one, I don’t see (David) de Gea staying there,' Ferdinand said on BT Sport. 'No chance, I don’t see it. I think he’ll go out now.

‘His wages will be a determining factor but at the end of the day, two No 1's doesn’t work. De Gea has been a mainstay in the team but Ole is maybe seeing things differently now.

‘He’s put Henderson in front of him in the queue. Does de Gea accept that and stay? I don’t think so.

‘David will be supporting his team-mate but when he gets home tonight, his pride and ego will be hurting, and if it’s not, he shouldn’t be here. He’s in the prime of his career and he wants to play every week.’

Ferdinand added that the pressure was now on Henderson to stake his claim and make the most of the chance Solskjaer has given him.

‘Henderson has been waiting for this opportunity. Now the pressure is on him. Can he live up to the hype? I’m excited for him and looking forward to see what he can do.

‘Solskjaer has seen something in him but he has to perform now. It’s okay being number one at Sheffield United, but it’s a different kettle of fish at Manchester United.'
