Guardiola: Laudrup Bisa Latih Barca

BARCELONA – Siapa bilang bekas pemain Real Madrid tak boleh melatih Barcelona? Pep Guardiola berada di barisan depan untuk membantah klaim tersebut.

Guardiola mengaku sangat menghormati sosok Michael Laudrup, pelatih Mallorca, klub yang akan dihadapinya dalam lanjutan La Liga, Senin (4/10/2010) dini hari WIB.

Bahkan, Guardiola tak segan menyebut Laudrup sebagai pelatih yang cocok membesut El Barca meski pria asa; Denmark pernah berkostum Madrid dalam kariernya di lapangan hijau.

“Michael memiliki kemampuan untuk melatih Barcelona. Dia pelatih dengan mental menyerang yang pas dengan klub ini. Tak ada alasan mengapa dia tak bisa melatih Barca suatu saat nanti?” tandas Guardiola, dikutip Marca, Minggu (3/10/2010).

“Saya ingat setiap orang ingin memberinya bola karena dia sangat spesial. Dia memberi perbedaan dalam permainan,” lanjut Guardiola.

Sementara itu, terkait bentrok kedua tim di jornada enam, Guardiola tak mau memandang remeh Mallorca. “Setiap pertandingan melawan mereka selalu sulit. Mereka tim hebat dan laga tak akan mudah,” pungkas pelatih 39 tahun.

Guardiola offers no excuses after drawing at home

Coach Pep Guardiola could not explain Barcelona's performance after watching his side fail to beat Mallorca at the Nou Camp.

Barca dominated for long periods and looked likely to win the match after a fine Lionel Messi effort gave Guardiola's side the lead after 20 minutes. But the Catalans failed to capitalise on their superiority and were pegged back by an Emilio Nsue header three minutes before the interval and the game ended 1-1.

Bojan Krkic hit the post late on for Barca and the home side missed further opportunities to win the match in the closing stages.

"There are no excuses today,'' Guardiola said. "We had the chance to close the game and we didn't do it. We have dropped two points. We should have won and we didn't.''

In the build-up to the match, Guardiola had proudly boasted of his side's ability to penetrate any kind of defence. However, he was left frustrated this time around and he knows that creating chances is not enough on its own.

"Scoring is not a question of chance,'' he said. "We are generating the play and we created a lot of chances today, but it just didn't happen.''

Barcelona have now failed to win all three games in which summer signing Javier Mascherano has started and the champions have picked up just four points from a possible nine at home. Virtually untouchable at the Nou Camp in recent times, Barca have already lost to promoted side Hercules and narrowly beat Sporting Gijon in their last match at the famous old ground.

Guardiola, though, remains unconcerned, saying: "It's a hard league and teams come here and make it difficult for us, but on another day we would have won comfortably.''

Mallorca coach Michael Laudrup admitted his side had ridden their luck on occasion.

"They attacked us infinitely in the first half,'' he said. "To do something here you need to have some luck and for your keeper to have a great day.''

Mallorca keeper Dudu Aouate did indeed have an inspired evening, although Barca - without the injured Xavi and the suspended David Villa - were guilty of missing a series of decent opportunities.

"Barca created a lot of chances but they didn't take them,'' Laudrup said. "But I'm not the Barcelona coach and that's not my problem.''

Barca are now in fourth place, three points behind leaders Valencia and one adrift of fierce rivals Real Madrid, who thrashed Deportivo La Coruna 6-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Mereka (Barca) memang memiliki dua pemain hebat lainnya seperti Xavi Hernandez dan Andres Iniesta. Tapi, menurut saya Messi adalah yang terbaik,” tambahnya.

Xavi misses Camp Nou showdown with Valencia

Xavi has been told he will not be available to Barcelona when the reigning Spanish champions take on league leaders Valencia at the weekend.

The influential midfielder has been resting on account of an Achilles tendon problems and has not represented Barcelona since the end of September.

Xavi was also spared the effort of participating in Spain's Euro 2012 qualifying victories over Lithuania and Scotland during the international break.

While he had been hoping to return to action at Camp Nou on Saturday, the specialist advising Xavi has told him that the game will come too soon for his recovery.

"Xavi is getting better and better, so that one side does not have any pain and the other still has a little bit," Dr Cugat told Antena 3. "He wants to play on Saturday, but I have told him he has to wait a bit because he still has trouble on the other side. It is too early for him to play."

It is expected that Xavi will be available to Barcelona when they play FC Copenhagen in the Champions League next week.

Striker David Villa is also a doubt for Saturday's game against Valencia after sustaining a knee problem after scoring in the victory over Scotland on Tuesday night.

It was Villa's 45th goal for Spain, taking him clear of Real Madrid legend Raul in the all-time record books.

Joaquin to miss Barca match

Valencia winger Joaquin Sanchez is set to be sidelined for the next two weeks through injury, ruling him out of Saturday's showdown with Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Joaquin underwent tests on his damaged left ankle on Tuesday morning, after which it was estimated that he will be out action for ten to 15 days.

Joaquin, 29, will have more tests on Friday to determine more accurately how long he will be missing, but it could be that he will sit out the Barca game, next week's Champions League trip to Rangers and the visit of Real Mallorca the following weekend.

Valencia are top of the Primera Division with 16 points from a possible 18, three more than fourth-placed Barca.

Barca Akan Seret Laporta ke Pangadilan

Bola.net - Kabar kurang enak datang dari Barcelona, mereka dikabarkan akan menyeret mantan presiden mereka, Joan Laporta beserta anggota dewannya ke pengadilan akibat masalah keuangan.

Presiden saat ini Sandro Rosell diberitakan oleh Guardian telah meminta pemungutan suara, hasilnya dari 468 total suara, 439 anggota klub setuju meminta kasus ini di bawa pengadilan.

Joan Laporta akan dimintai keterangan dan dipaksa menjelaskan, bagaimana bisa ada kerugian besar selama ia memimpin kursi presiden Barcelona.

"Ini adalah keputusan yang paling penting (yang diambil oleh anggota) dalam sejarah klub ini," tulis Rosell seperti dikutip dari situs Barca (www.fcbarcelona.com).

"Tidak ada yang menyenangkan tentang hal itu dan secara pribadi saya merasa sangat tidak nyaman dengan semua itu."

Pada bulan Juli, audit rekening Barcelona mengungkapkan kerugian setelah pajak sebesar € 77.100.000 untuk periode musim 2009-10.
