saatnya United kembali memberikan tekanan buat Chelsea krn United bertanding lebih awal & partai "cukup" mudah dibanding Cheslea yg harus bertandang ke Shiteh si raja seri.

West Ham v MANCHESTER UNITED: Edwin van der Sar back between the posts to face the Hammers

Edwin van der Sar is set to return to the Manchester United line-up for the trip to West Ham.

The veteran Dutchman has missed three games since injuring his knee in a collision with Everton's Tim Cahill at Old Trafford a fortnight ago but has now recovered and is expected to replace Tomasz Kuszczak.

Last line of defence: Van der Sar (right) returns to the fold

Jonny Evans (calf) and John O'Shea (dead leg) are still sidelined, along with long-term casualties Rio Ferdinand (back) and Owen Hargreaves (knee).

Team (from): Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, Neville, O'Shea, Brown, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Rafael, Valencia, Anderson, Fletcher, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Nani, Berbatov, Rooney, Owen, Macheda, Welbeck.

MATCH PREVIEW

There have been more goals scored at Upton Park this season than at any other Premier League ground.

Gianfranco Zola's commitment to attacking football has seen his side score in 11 consecutive matches, culminating in putting five past Burnley last weekend.

The concern for Hammers fans is at the other end of the pitch - they have shipped eight goals in their last three games and haven't kept a clean sheet since August.

The Hammers' brittle backline is sure to be closely examined by visitors Manchester United, who head to Upton Park in confident mood and desperate to keep the pressure on leaders Chelsea, who face a tricky away trip to Manchester City later in the day.

United have struggled at West Ham in recent seasons, with two defeats in their last three trips to east London. But the champions did the double over Zola's men last season without conceding a goal.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been busy concentrating on the next generation of United first-teamers this week, with a youthful side impressing against Tottenham in the Carling Cup quarter-finals. Eighteen-year-old striker Federico Macheda has been tied to a long-term deal, but the Old Trafford club have ended their interest in Partizan Belgrade teenager Adem Ljajic.

• If he plays, Mark Noble is set make his 100th league appearance for the club.

Van der Sar returns but United still without defensive trio
-mufcweb.com-

Manchester United will be boosted by the return of Edwin van der Sar for Saturday’s Premier League clash at West Ham United.

The Dutch goalkeeper missed the Carling Cup win against Tottenham in midweek, but still sidelined are John O’Shea, Jonny Evans and Rio Ferdinand.

“Rio is progressing with his treatment,” Mike Phelan told the club’s official site.

“He’s as optimistic as he can be. We haven’t set a target for him to be back yet. We just need to make sure that when he is back, he is available for the rest of the season.

“We still have a problem with Evans and O’Shea. Jonny’s calf is responding slowly to treatment, while John is still suffering from a dead leg that doesn’t seem to be improving as quickly as we expected.

“We’ve got Edwin back though - he’s been training and is available along with the other goalkeepers.”

Zola confident despite Cole injury
-uk.eurosport.yahoo.com-

West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola is confident the loss of Carlton Cole to injury will not derail his side as they look to maintain their strong recent run with victory over Manchester United.

Zola revealed on Friday that England striker Cole is likely to be out of action until the end of January with the knee ligament injury sustained in the Hammers' 5-3 win against Burnley last weekend.

Cole, 26, is the club's top scorer in the league this season with seven goals and West Ham will now be relying on Mexico striker Guillermo Franco, as well as fellow forwards Zavon Hines and the fit-again Alessandro Diamanti, to hit the net over the festive period and into 2010.

Zola has seen confidence return to his side, who have climbed out of the Barclays Premier League relegation zone after losing just one of their last six league matches. And the Italian is backing them to overcome the absence of the talismanic Cole, arguably the team's key player, when title-chasing United visit Upton Park.

"I see this as an opportunity now to find other ways to keep the goals coming, starting from tomorrow," said Zola

"I think we'll like finding other solutions. And what's encouraging as that in the last few games against the top teams, we've done well and they've been close games."
