Manchester City have been drawn to play against Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup.



City knocked United out of the competition at last season's semi-final stage before going on to win the competition, and defeated their local rivals 6-1 at Old Trafford in their most recent meeting, so the Red Devils will be eager to get revenge when the teams meet at Eastlands next month.


Arsenal, who last won the competition in 2005, will take on Championship side Leeds United at Emirates Stadium, while 2010 winners Chelsea play Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham have a home tie against League Two side Cheltenham, while Liverpool will play either Southend or Oldham at Anfield.

Stoke, last season's defeated finalists, will make the trip to Gillingham and Everton will be eager to avoid embarrassment in their game against Conference side Tamworth at Goodison Park. Newcastle also host Blackburn in an all-Premier League tie.

Ties will be played on the weekend of January 7-8.

Kondisinya kurang tepat saya rasa untuk menghadapi laga ini, banyaknya pemain yang cidera menjadi permasalahan utama. Pendekatan permainan UNITED yang efektif dan efisien akhir2 ini mungkin pilihan strategi untuk menjaga stabilitas tim saat ini, akan tetapi drawing ini jelas menimbulkan tekanan yang besar. Semoga ada jalan keluar di pertengahan bulan desember(pemain2 yg cidera sembuh lebih cepat)

United have been drawn away to FA Cup holders Manchester City in this season's third round.

The sides will meet at the Etihad Stadium over the weekend of 7/8 January 2012.

It will be the ninth meeting between the two teams in the competition with United currently leading the way on five victories, compared to City's three.

The only time both sides have met in the Cup on City's patch came in the 1954/55 campaign when the Blues ran out 2-0 winners in the fourth round tie.

The last FA Cup clash between the pair was in last season's semi-final at Wembley which City won 1-0, before going on to beat Stoke City in the final.

Harus diakui jika materi pemain United saat ini bisa dibilang di bawah City, but pertempuran sebenernya akan berlangsung di lapangan hijau, this is football, apapun masih bisa terjadi ...
Apalagi aroma derby cukup kental ..., keep fight Lads ...

Mendukung Manchester United donk, tapi berhubung di ajang Carling Cup United sudah tersisih maka saya menjagokan tim Manchester lainnya. Tidak ada larangan kan ?
