Re: United Reserves Matches 2011-2012
CC lawan Leeds jadi kesempatan besar buat mereka. Kombinasi muda dan senior bisa dicoba. Setidaknya Pogba, James, Petrucci dan mungkin Will Keane bisa dikasih kesempatan. Blom ada kabar dari Morrison, klo fit dia juga masuk hitungan.

Re: United Reserves Matches 2011-2012
26/09/2011 15:30 - ManUtd.com, Adam Marshall Reserves set to face Norwich United's Reserves will be tackling Norwich when the first team are in Champions League action against Basel. Warren Joyce's side are making the long trip to East Anglia to face the Canaries' second-string with a youthful line-up guaranteed due to the European commitments. "It will be a tough game down there for sure," Joyce told ManUtd.com. "When you look at things, their first team is playing tonight against Sunderland and anyone who doesn't play in that will play against us. "We've just got a young team, basically an Under-19 side. "Barring Matty James and Davide Petrucci, it's the bulk of the youth squad from last season." The Carrow Road clash is United's last scheduled fixture at Reserves level until October 13. |

Re: United Reserves Matches 2011-2012
Review full match reserves...
Norwich City Reserves 2, Man United Reserves 4 City’s second string felt the force of Man United’s next generation in tonight’s Premier League Reserve clash at Carrow Road. The visitors fielded five of the young talents who featured in last week’s Carling Cup 3-0 away win over Leeds against a Norwich side with plenty of first team experience. Elegant United midfielder Paul Pogba played the second half at Elland Road and nudged the Red Devils ahead inside the opening five minutes after a defensive mix up between City skipper Adam Drury and Simon Lappin. Matt Ball levelled before William Keane was credited with a goal that Drury appeared to divert past Declan Rudd. Larnell Cole and Keane put the visitors out of sight only for Aaron Wilbraham to reduce the arrears in the closing stages. Chris Martin was the pick of the senior stars on show for the Canaries, operating in an attacking midfield role just tucked in behind Wilbraham and Simeon Jackson. City fell behind from United’s first attack when Pogba pounced to slot past Rudd. Ball made no mistake on 13 minutes with a stooping header after connecting powerfully with Sam Kelly’s flighted cross. Wilbraham turned intelligently away from his marker on 20 minutes but Ben Amos parried the striker’s angled shot. Martin’s cute spin evaded three tight markers inside the United half, but his intended crossfield pass failed to match the initial precision. United skipper Davide Petrucci burst past two weak attempted tackles to slip in Keane but Drury’s sliding challenged diverted the ball past Rudd. The lively Pogba conjured an exquisite cross early in the second half which Keane just failed to divert goalwards. Martin tried his luck again from long range not once but twice in quick succession - both rockets smacking United defenders. Wilbraham retrieved a lost cause in behind the visitors’ rearguard on 55 minutes before rolling in Andrew Surman who curled narrowly wide. With City starting to dictate, United launched a decisive counter when Cole swivelled onto the excellent Pogba’s pass to rifle low past Rudd from 16 yards. Amos gathered Martin’s dipping free kick on 66 minutes. Livewire Keane needed no second invitation when he profited from more charitable home defending to lash a half volley past Rudd on the edge of the area. City continued to press and Wilbraham tucked away Surman’s sublime floated reverse pass to complete the scoring on 87 minutes – although Martin was again denied by Amos with a point blank header deep in stoppage time. • Norwich City Reserves: Rudd, Brindley, Lappin, Kelly (Dawkin 66), Francomb, Drury, Ball, Martin, Wilbraham, Jackson (Clunan 84), Surman. Subs (not used): Matthews, Toffolo, Barker. • Goals: Ball (15), Wilbraham (86) • Manchester United Reserves: Amos, Brown, McGinty, Fornasier (Thorpe 59), M Keane, Fryers, Pogba (Morrison 76), James (Vermijl 45), W Keane, Petrucci, Cole. Subs (not used): Giverin, Cofie. • Goals: Pogba (3), W Keane (40, 70), Cole (61) • Referee: W Porter • Attendance: 3,854 Source : http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/n...es_4_1_1073014 |

Re: United Reserves Matches 2011-2012

United Reserves wracked up a fifth win on the spin in all competitions - third in the league - by taking maximum points in style at Norwich City on Tuesday night. The three players who made senior debuts in the Carling Cup a week ago were all on duty, and two of them - Paul Pogba and Larnell Cole - were on the scoresheet. Meanwhile, Ezekiel Fryers started at centre-back alongside Michael Keane, brother of Will who killed off the Canaries with a goal in each half. Any concerns that the long trek might lead to a sluggish start for Warren Joyce's young side were dispelled*in the*third minute when Pogba*profited from a mistake by Canaries defender*Simon Lappin*to put United 1-0 up. The advantage only lasted until the quarter-hour mark when Norwich's Matt Ball*beat Ben Amos with a diving header from Sam Kelly's cross. But while the home side dominated for much of the first period with the score locked at 1-1 and Amos was forced into a good save from Chris Martin, it was United's superior cutting edge that separated the sides again six minutes before the break. A wonderful*link-up between Pogba and*Will Keane paved the way for the former to shoot straight at goalkeeper Declan Rudd, and when United won the ball back as it rebounded into play, the latter slotted home to make it 2-1. It could have been 3-1 at half-time but Keane's bid to round Rudd from Pogba's*threaded pass*was thwarted when the keeper got a hand to the ball. The Reds did put daylight between themselves and Norwich early in the second half when Larnell Cole, seven days after his senior debut at Leeds, drilled a left-footed shot across the keeper after being played in by Pogba. Will Keane also played his part in the third goal, before scoring the fourth himself with a fine strike after chesting down Davide Petrucci's pass. After an impressive 75 minutes, Pogba made way for the return of Ravel Morrison. The attacking midfielder came off the bench, as did defender Tom Thorpe earlier for Michele Fornasier, but he couldn't help United find any further goals. Not that any were required, not even when Aaron Wilbraham pulled a second goal back for Norwich four minutes from time. United: Amos; Brown, M Keane, Fryers, McGinty; Fornasier (Thorpe), Petrucci, James (Vermijl); Pogba (Morrison), W Keane, Cole. Subs not used: Coll, Cofie. |
