kekurangan Manchester United dr a.vila dipertemuan trakhir yaa karena sulitnya lini blakang mengantisipasi bola2 crossing cepat ala asleyYoung,
naah klo ada vida dijamin tuh striker2 harapan si martin oneil bisa bener2 buntu bin frustasi bgitu ketemu strategi bertahan ala Sir Alex Ferguson yg dikawal dan dipimpin SUPER NEMANJA VIDIC
Believe !!

selain Carrick dan Park yg udah nemuin performa terbaik, ditambah Rooney yg lagi hobby nyetak goal, plus Valencia yg udah mulai sangat mengerti pergerakan tanpa bola Rooney.. aaah kklo udah begini angan2 meraih kemenangan mutlak bukan tak mungkin milik kita.. hahahaha

Rio masi harus istirahat, cedera punggungnya kambuh lagi.
Nani masi suspended.
Anderson out sampe akhir musim. (Ligamen)
Giggsy (masa penyembuhan retak tangannya)

Vida udh balik, makin aman difensore kita.
Gibbo bs jd alternatif selain Carrick/Fletch/Scholes.
Fergie puisng nentuin posisi kiper VDS-Foster-Kusczak Semua ready n oke

Brad fecking Friedel nearly always has a great game against us. He makes me hate Americans when he plays against us hehehe
I predict we 'll score more if we open the score earlier..

JOHN CAREW FIRES PENALTY WARNING AT MANCHESTER UNITED
-dailystar.co.uk-

GIANT John Carew has warned Manchester United goalkeeping coach Eric Steele he’ll be wasting his time if he brings his penalty iPod back to Wembley.

Steele famously prepared Ben Foster for Manchester United's shoot-out which won last year’s Carling Cup final by showing him film of Spurs’ penalty techniques on his pocket gadget.

But Aston Villa striker Carew says that won’t help United on Sunday – even though Steele will have fresh footage of the two penalties that knocked Crystal Palace out of the FA Cup on Wednesday night.

Norway star Carew blasted the first, then placed the second and said he could change his technique all over again if necessary at Wembley.

He said: “It was a bit of a badge of honour for me to take the second one, even though I’d just scored one.

“And if it comes to taking one on Sunday, I won’t be worried at all.

“I try to be a bit smart because I know that keepers are studying before games to look at the different places players put the ball.

“I know they are trying to predict what I’m doing, so I try to be unpredictable myself.

“Some I smash, some I put in the corner, but in the end it’s a choice.

“The keeper can make the right choice sometimes, but you have to make it as difficult for him as possible.

“I’ve not missed very many – certainly not any important ones – and I don’t feel the pressure.

“If I take a penalty, I think I’m going to score a goal.”

Carew, 30, reckons Villa are capable of stunning favourites United without the need for heart-stopping spot-kick drama. He added: “We don’t have to be scared.

“We’re going there to show, as we have earlier in the season when we won 1-0 at Old Trafford, that we can compete with United.

“We have just got to be aware that the possibilities are there, that we will get some chances, and enjoy the moment.

“There are not many times in life you get the chance to play in finals and be at Wembley, with 90,000 people watching.

“So you just have to enjoy it, play football and be confident, and believe we can win the game.

“When you have a team like ours which is improving in the league like we’ve been doing, getting better and better the last few years, it’s important when you get to a final that you really savour the day.

“It puts even more edge on the feeling of togetherness in the dressing room.

“You start to get the feeling that you can be a really good, and even a great, team.

“The aim is the top four, but when you reach a final you really feel you are getting somewhere.

“It means so much for the club, for the fans, for the players, for everybody.

“It’s something we can be very proud of and we can make some history. That has to be on our minds.”

Fergie hungry for more silverware
-irishexaminer.com-

ARSENE WENGER may have described it as a "non-trophy" but Alex Ferguson insists the Carling Cup is a pot worth winning.

Not even the knowledge Sunday’s encounter with Aston Villa at Wembley will lack the raw emotion and drama of those two memorable semi-final confrontations with Manchester City last month can shake Ferguson’s determination to add another trophy to his incredible Manchester United CV.

So, while Wenger disputes the notion a Carling Cup win would represent the end of his Arsenal trophy drought, it is a stance Ferguson does not share.

"Wembley is an occasion. It has always been that way," said Ferguson.

"But the only way you can enjoy Wembley is by winning. We have got an opportunity to win something. It is not a nice day when you lose."

Although United will start Sunday’s final as favourites, their build-up has not exactly been trouble free, with both Rio Ferdinand and Anderson ruled out through injury.

Ferguson confirmed Ferdinand would be missing on Tuesday, after the new England skipper suffered a twinge in his back that meant him missing the Premier League victory against old club West Ham.

The United boss hopes to have Ferdinand back in a couple of weeks.

For Anderson, who hobbled out of United’s Carrington training base on crutches yesterday, the absence will be far longer after scans revealed he suffered a ruptured cruciate knee ligament as he stretched to make a pass during the first-half of the Hammers’ clash.

"We have assessed the situation and know he needs the operation,’’ Ferguson said.

"That will be done in two weeks’ time in Portugal once the swelling has gone down. He will be out for six months and hopefully that should have him about right for the new season."

Gibson and Evans ready for final fling
-belfasttelegraph.co.uk-

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Jonny Evans and Darron Gibson will play in Sunday’s Carling Cup final against Aston Villa.

Ferguson is keeping faith with his young guns and Londonderry lad Gibson and Newtownabbey’s Evans can now look forward to their second successive Carling Cup decider after the penalty shoot-out win over Tottenham a year ago.

The two Ulstermen have helped United earn a return trip to Wembley and Ferguson knows another showpiece occasion will boost their football education.

“I am thinking about the younger ones to give them that smell (of success),” said Ferguson.

“There are two or three that come into that category, like (Darron) Gibson, (Jonny) Evans and Rafael.

“They obviously have to be considered. But it would be nice to win the cup having got to Wembley and got through those semi-final ties against Manchester City. You want to get to the final and do well.”

Arsene Wenger may have described it as a “non-trophy” but Ferguson insists the Carling Cup is a pot worth winning.

Not even the knowledge Sunday's encounter with Aston Villa at Wembley will lack the raw emotion and drama of those two memorable semi-final confrontations with City last month can shake Ferguson's determination to add another trophy to his incredible Manchester United CV.

So, while Wenger disputes the notion a Carling Cup win would represent the end of his Arsenal trophy drought, it is a stance Ferguson does not share.

“Wembley is an occasion. It has always been that way,” said Ferguson. “But the only way you can enjoy Wembley is by winning. We have got an opportunity to win something on Sunday. It is not a nice day when you lose.”

Ferguson did once view the League Cup as a nuisance in United's pursuit of the major prizes.

Although the Red Devils did reach three finals in four years in the early 1990s, between 1994 and 2003 there was nothing.

Yet this weekend, United will compete in their fourth in eight years and their third in five, confirmation of the success enjoyed by the Football League's decision to exempt teams involved in European combat to the last 32, third-round stage.

Perfect pairing for League Cup's Golden Jubilee
-uk.reuters.com-

LONDON (Reuters) - There could hardly be a more apt pairing for the 50th League Cup final on Sunday than a meeting between holders Manchester United and Aston Villa, the first winners of the quirky little three-handled cup.

Villa, who beat Rotherham United over two legs to win the inaugural competition in 1960/61, have won the League Cup five times compared to United's three, with one of those coming against United in 1994.

With both teams doing well in the Premier League, their presence at Wembley Stadium could make the Golden Jubilee final a memorable one, especially if United manager Alex Ferguson selects in-form Wayne Rooney to start.

Rooney was on the sidelines when United beat Tottenham Hotspur on penalties to win last season's final, and is currently in a blistering run of form, scoring 19 goals in his last 19 matches, and 27 in all this season.

Ferguson however, implied Rooney might have to be content with a place on the bench as he considers the team to win the 44th major trophy of his career. United have other targets besides the League Cup.

His choice has been hampered by a spate of injuries and he will be unable to select Rio Ferdinand (back), Ryan Giggs (broken arm), or Brazilian midfielder Anderson, who was ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing a cruciate ligament in Tuesday's 3-0 win over West Ham United.

WEMBLEY OCCASION

Asked about his team selection on Thursday, Ferguson told reporters at a news briefing: "I'm thinking about the younger ones. There's two or three that come into that category like Darron Gibson, Jonny Evans and Rafa Da Silva.

"They have to be considered. But we want to win the cup. It would be nice to win the cup having got there.

"Being at Wembley is an occasion and we have got this opportunity of winning something. The only way you can enjoy Wembley is by winning -- it's not a nice day if you lose."

Villa manager Martin O'Neill's name is always close to the top of the list when the discussion turns to the eventual successor to 68-year-old Ferguson at United, and victory over them on Sunday would enhance his chances if he was interested in the job.

O'Neill has his eye on a Wembley double after his side beat Crystal Palace 3-1 on Wednesday to secure an FA Cup quarter-final against Reading next weekend.

He is seeking his third victory as a coach in the League Cup after guiding Leicester City to success in 1997 and 2000 as well as losing the final in 1999.

Villa are also involved in the race for fourth place in the Premier League and a potential Champions League spot next season and Ferguson was full of praise for the job O'Neill has done.

"You think about the team he inherited and the team he has got now, it's totally different in every department.

"He has brought a consistency to them. This could be a successful season for them. It is going to be a very difficult game for us."

O'Neill has yet to name his side for Wembley but is set to recall goalkeeper Brad Friedel, Emile Heskey and James Collins, who were all on the bench against Palace.
