Liverpool - Sempat tertinggal, Manchester United akhirnya membawa pulang satu poin dari lawatan ke Liverpool. Menurut Sir Alex Ferguson, skor 1-1 di akhir laga adalah hasil yang adil buat kedua tim.

MU selalu kalah dalam tiga kunjungan terakhir ke Anfield di ajang Liga Inggris. Rentetan buruk tersebut terhenti pada Sabtu (15/10/2011) kemarin saat The Red Devils berhasil memaksakan hasil imbang 1-1.

Kegagalan menang membuat posisi MU di puncak klasemen terancam Manchester CIty, yang akhirnya berhasil merebut posisi teratas usai menang 4-1 atas Aston Villa. Meski gagal menang Fergie tetap mengaku puas dengan hasil yang didapat.

"Saya pikir mereka (Liverpool) tidak benar-benar mengancam hingga akhirnya mencetak gol, tapi pertandingan berjalan terbuka dan kami memaksimalkan kesempatan. Melihat konteks pertandingan hari ini, hasil akhirnya adil," tuntas Fergie.

"Itu mungkin tipikal pertandingan MU-Liverpool. Sangat intens, tentu saja, dan saya pikir pertandingan tidak dimulai sampai akhirnya bikin gol. Pada akhirnya itu pertandingan yang hebat. Saat Anda tertinggal satu gol di sisa 15 menit maka Anda tak bisa percaya diri, tapi kami punya pemain yang mampu melakukan itu," lanjut dia di Skysports.

Adalah Javier Hernandez yang menghindarkan MU dari kekalahan. Masuk sebagai pemain pengganti, Chicharito menanduk bola hasil tendangan sudut Nani yang sempat dibelokkan Danny Welbeck.

"Anda lihat Chicharito dengan golnya: itu benar-benar fantastis. Skrtel merangkul dengan tangan kanannya dan dia bisa membebaskan diri dan mencetak gol,"tuntas Fergie.
