Januzaj dah promosi ke reserve/U-21. Levelnya dah nggak di U-18 klo kata RC. Katanya sih di U-18 yang lagi kinclong selain Daehli adalah Wilson dan Carrick-nya U-18 Pearson.

Ben Pearson klo aku simpulkan dari komen2 fans d RC sih mirip Carrick. Artinya perannya vital tapi tampak underated atau kalah tenar ma yang laen. Begitu nggak maen jadi kerasa bedanya. kesimpulan aja...

No doubt, Januzaj is the best talent in academy!

Sejak dibeli dari Anderlecht (£600,000,-) ditahun 2011 lalu, ia menjadi idola baru di academy, bahkan disebut sebagai new David Beckham. Di transfer market doi bisa main sebagai right/left wing dan juga bisa main di posisi AMF.

Waktu Harry Gregg testimonial match kan Adnan Januzaj dibawa ke Irlandia, lupa doi dimainkan apa enggak. Umurnya hampir 18 tahun, saingan di tim senior masih banyak. Diposisi AMF masih ada Kagawa (23 tahun), kalau right/ left wing mungkin masih bisa jika kita ngarep Januzaj bisa tembuh tim utama sebelum 21 tahun

Reds enter Blue Stars Cup



United will be entering a team in this year's Blue Stars FIFA Youth Cup, with 2013 marking the 75th anniversary of the prestigious tournament.

Paul McGuinness' side will be competing on 8 May and 9 May in Zurich with the Swiss trip certain to provide more invaluable experience for the Reds' teenagers.

The competition is for players born in 1993 or later although only a maximum of five in the squad can be born after 1995. FC Zurich beat Grasshopper Club in all-Swiss final in 2012 while United have lifted the trophy 18 times, the last triumph coming in 2005.

Meanwhile, the Academy side's second scheduled fixture in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League Elite Group on Saturday has been called off.

The Reds were due to entertain Everton's youngsters at Carrington but the freezing temperatures have led to an early postponement.

U18s win derby friendly



Andreas Pereira scored the only goal of the game in bizarre circumstances at wintry Platt Lane.

Chances had been few and far between in the Under-18s’ friendly match, but in the 61st minute, an inexplicable lapse by City keeper Ian Lawlor allowed United to snatch the deciding goal.

Minutes earlier, the Northern Ireland youngster had made a brilliant save to deny fellow countryman Patrick McNair but, after the Reds’ next attack had broken down, the young keeper allowed the ball to slip from his grasp as he attempted to despatch the ball upfield.

The ball fell to James Weir whose snap-shot was blocked, but Pereira was on hand to snaffle up the rebound and drive the ball into the Blues’ net.

Both teams had to contend with a broad spectrum of elements which included high winds, driving rain and the occasional outbreak of bright sunshine, but stuck to the task to produce a feisty contest.

United had the better of the first half with Jack Barmby posing the biggest threat in front of goal, but even he had trouble with the direction of his shooting.

At the other end United’s young Italian keeper Pierluigi Gollini made one or two vital, if sometimes unorthodox, saves to keep the City attack at bay. The second half was much more finally balanced with both teams failing to put a finishing touch to their approach play.

Meanwhile, on an adjacent pitch United’s Under-16s were beaten 6-3 by their Manchester City counterparts.

United: Gollini, Love, McNair, Grimshaw, Rowley; Rudge, Harrop (Weir 46), Rothwell, A.Pereira, Daehli (Pearson 46); Barmby. Sub not used: Sutherland.

United collected a point from a difficult away assignment at Chelsea with Jack Rudge scoring the goal in a 1-1 draw.

The Reds led through the midfielder's strike but were pegged back by Jesse Starkey's free-kick and the late sending off of Ola Aina failed to tip the match in the visitors' favour.

In a physical affair, United were disciplined tactically and looked to hit the Blues on the break with Andreas Pereira working hard in an unfamiliar striking role due to James Wilson's absence through injury. Pereira tested Mitchell Beeney early on and John Swift had a goal ruled out for offside.

The deadlock was broken when Jack Barmby and Pereira played a one-two before the ball eventually rebounded to Rudge, who steered home a neat finish.

Pereira had a decent shout for a penalty when fouled right on the edge of the box but there was a similar incident at the other end in the lead-up to Starkey smashing his set-piece past Jonny Sutherland.*

The keeper had earlier made a string of top-class saves but the controversy in terms of tight penalty calls continued late on when James Weir released Barmby, only for the forward to be up-ended by substitute Aina. It looked like a spot-kick was on the cards but, instead, the referee awarded a free-kick inches outside the box and dismissed the Aina for the denying of a goalscoring opportunity.
