Rentan waktu yang cukup panjang untuk United berada di Ausie sebelum benar- benar bertanding, mungkin sedang mematangkan TC agar stamina pemain dapat digenjot kembali. Waktunya om Steve, Jimmy, Tony & Phill untuk ngelatih fisik pemain habis- habisan sampai benar- benar bugar.

OOT berhubung sudah di Ausie, Daniel De Silva yang juga dirumorkan ingin direkrut Moyes bisa jadi langsung ketemu face to face disana. Siapa tau benar direkrut tuh youngster.

Chapman selected for Foxtel A-League All Stars

Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets defender Connor Chapman has been selected as a member of the inaugural Foxtel A-League All Stars squad for their blockbuster clash with Manchester United at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, July 20.

Chapman will head to Sydney today to join the rest of the Foxtel A-League All Stars, as Ange Postecolglu’s squad commence their preparations for the friendly match against the Red Devils in front of a sell-out crowd at Homebush.

Jets CEO Robbie Middleby congratulated Chapman on his selection in the squad and wished him all the best for the game against the reigning English Premier League Champions.

“It’s fantastic to have the Jets represented in the Foxtel A-League All Stars and we’re excited to see Connor in action on such a big stage,” Middleby said.

“It caps off what has been a very exciting 12 months for Connor.

“In a short space of time he has established himself as an A-League player, has represented his country at a FIFA U-20 World Cup and now has the chance to play against arguably the biggest Club in world football, Manchester United.

“It is going to be a fantastic experience and one that I’m sure Connor will cherish for years to come.”

The Foxtel A-League All Stars’ debut match against Manchester United at ANZ Stadium, Sydney on 20 July 2013 (kick-off 7:30pm AEST) will be broadcast live and exclusive on the Seven Network nationally.

Emerton leads A-League All Stars against Manchester United

Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton will captain an A-League All Stars team against Manchester United in their friendly in Sydney on July 20.

Emerton played for Australia's national team against Manchester United when the English club last toured Australia 14 years ago. He said his memories of those matches were "we got beaten both times and I remember chasing the ball quite a lot."

Emerton enjoyed little more success against Manchester United during his 247 matches for Blackburn in the England Premier League. He returned to Australia in 2011, joining Sydney FC.

Coach Ange Postecoglou said Emerton was the right man to lead the All Stars because he "epitomizes what the A-League is about."

Former Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller will line up against the Reds on Saturday when David Moyes' side play the Foxtel A-League All-Stars in Sydney (kick-off 10:30 BST).

Miller, now 32 and plying his trade for Brisbane Roar, made 22 appearances for United between 2004 and 2006.

The Irishman is one of 20 players who have been selected in the All-Stars squad following a process that included votes cast by fans, coaches and influential figures within the Australian game.

Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero was part of the initial 35-man squad (he plays for Sydney FC), but won't figure in the match as he's enjoying a summer break in Italy.

Japan international Shinji Ono is similarly unavailable but former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton will pull on the All-Stars jersey alongside Miller. Defender Michael Beauchamp has also previously played against the Reds; he featured for Aalborg in the Champions League back in 2008/09.

All-Stars coach Ange Postecoglu is confident Saturday's match will be a memorable occasion for football fans in Australia and is relishing the chance to pit his managerial wits against David Moyes.

"It's an opportunity to measure yourself against the best," he said. "It's got all the things I look for in my job. It's a challenge and I love that. I coach best when it's like that, I get more excited."
