Bolton are without Gretar Steinsson, sent-off at Everton last Saturday. Sam Ricketts is a possible replacement for the right-back vacancy but Stuart Holden, Chris Basham, Joey O’Brien, Sean Davis and Gavin McCann are all ruled out.

They lost 2-1 at Old Trafford in October when an early Zat Knight own goal gave United the advantage before Antonio Valencia scored his first goal for the club. Matt Taylor replied late on for Bolton.

United have won their last six games, in all competitions, and they may rest leading scorer Wayne Rooney, who has an ongoing knee problem. Wes Brown, Michael Owen, Anderson, Danny Wellbeck, Ritchie de Laet and John O’Shea are all missing.

MANCHESTER - Manchester United bisa berfas lega. Trio pemain kuncinya Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs dan Paul Scholes telah pulih dari cedera dan siap memperkuat United saat mengahdapi Bolton Wanderers, akhir pekan ini.

Diketahui, beberapa waktu lalu ketiga pemain di atas memang diragukan tampil dalam waktu dekat. Rooney mengalami cedera lutut, Giggs menderita cedera pada pergelanangan tangan, sementara Scholes berkutat dengan cedera engkel. Ketiganya pun sempat diprediksi bakal absen saat United bertandang ke markas Bayern Munich pada leg pertama babak perempat final Liga Champions, akhir bulan ini.

Namun kini, ketiganya dikabarkan telah pulih. Pelatih United Sir Alex Ferguson bahkan mengkonfirmasi bahwa Rooney, Giggs dan Scholes sudah bisa tampil saat United melawat ke Reebok Stadium, markas Bolton Wanderers pada lanjutan Premier League, Minggu (28/3/2010).

“Wayne (Rooney) telah fit dan tak ada masalah dengan lututnya,” papar Ferguson sebagaimana dikutip Goal, Sabtu (27/3/2010).

“Scholes juga telah pulih setelah bermasalah dengan cedera engkel dan Giggs telah bisa kembali berlatih. Namun saya tak bisa menjamin keduanya akan tampil sebagai starter (lawan Bolton). Yang pasti, pengalaman yang diberikan Giggs dan Scholes sepanjang musim ini tak tergantikan,” tambahnya.

Mengenai jalannya laga menghadapi Bolton, Fergie memprediksi laga bakal berjalan sulit. Meski begitu, pelatih kawakan Skotlandia ini tetap mengultimatum anak asuhnya untuk meraih hasil maksimal demi menjaga kans United dalam perburuan trofi Premier League, bersama dengan Chelsea dan Arsenal.

“Duel melawan Bolton tak ubahnya seperti berperang – Jalannya pertandingan selalu sengit,” imbuhnya.

“Kehilangan poin di masa krusial seperti ini bisa jadi petaka buat kami. Saya pikir, dari sekarang hingga akhir musim nanti, ketiga tim ini (United, Arsenal dan Chelsea) akan kehilangan poin, tapi tidak banyak, ” sambung pelatih 67 tahun ini.

“Kami hanya harus memastikan tak kehilangan poin sebanyak Arsenal dan Chelsea,” tutupnya. (acf)

Rooney, Scholes and Giggs fit

Wayne Rooney is fit and available to play at Bolton if selected, despite press reports earlier in the week claiming that he was struggling with a knee injury.

The United striker is in flying form, with 18 goals in his last 15 games, and he could again lead the line for the Reds at the Reebok Stadium. Also available to play on Saturday tea-time are experienced pair Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

"Wayne is fit and there's nothing wrong with his knee," Sir Alex told reporters at Carrington on Friday morning, responding to questions about the 24-year-old's fitness.

"Scholes is okay again after an ankle knock and Ryan is a further week on with his training. Whether I start him or not is another matter. But his and Scholes' experience is invaluable at this time of year.

"Going to Bolton is a battle – it’s always been that way," added the boss. "Losing points at this time of year can be damaging. I think there will be some points dropped by the three teams between now and the end of the season, not a lot, but some. We just have to make sure we don’t drop as many as Arsenal and Chelsea."

There was further good news for United as John O'Shea began training for the first time with the first team on Thursday after a prolonged absence with a thigh problem. Sir Alex reckons the Irish defender, who last played for United in November's defeat to Chelsea, will be available to play at the beginning of April.

As revealed on Thursday on ManUtd.com, Owen Hargreaves has also joined in with full training and the manager added on Friday that the coaching staff will "monitor his training in terms of the intensity of the work he has to do to get to the first team level."

akhirnya..Rooney dah fit juga.sebenarnya hampir semua teman teman pasti menginginkan Rooney kembali fit dalam lawatan ke reebok kali ini dan mungkin tidak dimainkan full time. yah berharap starter trus nyetak gol 2 lah stelah itu main beberapa menit di babak kedua..lalu ganti deh ma diouf..hehehe

Defender Gary Cahill is poised to return from a two-month lay-off.

Cahill has now fully recovered from a blood clot that forced him to undergo surgery to remove a section of a rib and played 90 minutes for the reserves on Monday.

Boss Owen Coyle is again without several players, including Gretar Steinsson through suspension following his dismissal in the 2-0 defeat at Everton last Saturday.

Stuart Holden, Chris Basham, Gavin McCann, Sean Davis and Joey O'Brien remain sidelined through injury.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Wayne Rooney has no injury problems.

Rooney had a knee injury earlier this month and looked to be limping heavily as he left Old Trafford following Sunday's win over Liverpool.

But Ferguson said: "He's OK, there's no problem. He had some bad bruising for a couple of weeks but he's played [since then] and there's no problems with the knee."

Ferguson may start with Ryan Giggs, who came on as a substitute against Liverpool after five weeks out with a broken arm. John O'Shea is back in training and should be available from the beginning of April.
