Re: Masih Percayakah Moyes Orang Yang Tepat ?
Breakdown of David Moyes' First 6 Months at Manchester United
u don't have to wander around the forecourt at Old Trafford for long before you hear a frustrated Manchester United fan grumble that "we're basically Everton". United fans are unhappy—they're lying if they tell you otherwise. But it's only to be expected when a club so used to success is languishing in seventh place in the Premier League, counting the points between themselves and fourth instead of assessing a lead at the top of the table. The frustration at six league defeats—four of them at home—hasn't turned into a collective out-pouring of vitriol yet. For now the fans who attend the games—the ones who count—are still following Sir Alex Ferguson's advice to back their new manager, David Moyes. The support he received at Sunderland was almost unbelievable given the circumstances. But it's still there, whispered in corners, only ever discussed in hushed tones under the cover of darkness. Criticising Moyes for turning the champions of England into Everton is an easy dig. He's brought his backroom staff with him from Goodison Park, as well as Marouane Fellaini. Everton were a serial mid-table side under Moyes, and after six months under the same man, United find themselves there, too. With a smaller budget, Moyes was considered to be over-achieving at Everton. But his time there can only really be analysed now he's gone, much like Ferguson's achievements at United can only be truly appreciated now he's retired. It certainly doesn't help Moyes' cause that Everton under Roberto Martinez are challenging for a place in the Champions League. But Moyes is battling against a mentality he developed over 11 years at Goodison Park. You hear it a lot from United's new signings who arrive from smaller clubs. They'll often say it's a huge culture shock when they discover that drawing away from home is no longer considered a good result. Get a point away from home and some Premier League clubs are having a party on the bus on the way home. United's players under Ferguson would have got the hairdryer in the dressing room. Moyes has tried to be ambitious at Old Trafford. He's usually played with two strikers, abandoning the five-man midfield and lone frontman he used at Everton. But the stats don't look good. In the first 20 games of last season, Everton under Moyes collected 33 points, scoring 33 goals and conceding 25. After 20 games this season, United have 34 points, scored 33 goals and conceded 24. Everton were sixth after 20 games last season and hadn't moved by the end of the season. If United were to finish seventh this season it would be hard for Moyes to spin it as anything other than a disaster. He at least has the chance to put another unwelcome statistic to bed in the coming weeks. A United win at Stamford Bridge on January 19 would be Moyes' first at Chelsea in the Premier League. As manager of Everton he never won at Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or United in 46 attempts, and has already lost at Liverpool and Manchester City as manager of United this season. It was a stat thrust into sharp focus when Martinez won at Old Trafford with Everton on his first visit. It was something else Moyes didn't need for a variety of reasons. Halfway through his first season at Old Trafford and Moyes is still struggling to shake the tag of an Everton manager in charge of United. It's only natural that Moyes would want to introduce elements of what he felt was successful at Everton into his new team at United. After all, it would be foolish to try to be something you're not simply because you've got a new job. But six months into his reign, the comparisons will be stretching a little further than Moyes is comfortable with. And he faces a fight to make sure they don't stretch all the way to May. Code:

Manchester United Stars Reportedly Turn on David Moyes Amid 25% Wage Cut Talk
David Moyes might not admit to a crisis at Manchester United, but that is very much what he is facing, according to a report by Jamie Jackson of the Guardian on Thursday. Not only is Moyes losing games at an alarming rate this season, he is now losing the confidence of his star players, according to Jackson’s article: Quote:
Quote:
A September report from the Daily Star’s David Woods claimed Robin van Persie is not happy with Moyes’ training methods, although the player later denied the story. Nevertheless, he has been injured far more regularly under Moyes than during his time with Sir Alex Ferguson. Danny Welbeck was another to find himself at odds with the manager, per a separate Jackson report, when the striker denied Moyes’ claims he had to be asked to do extra training. And now there are fears growing over the future of Wayne Rooney as contract talks continue to stall, as reported by Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail. The United camp is undoubtedly an unhappy place to be right now. Five points outside the top four, and having lost all three games in 2014, United look in real danger of failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League competition. Henry Winter of the Telegraph sums up the current state of United's squad: Quote:
Quote:
The Everton boss arrived without a trophy to his name, with little European experience, and with a reputation for playing an industrial style of football. In fairness to him, he had operated well on a budget at Everton, but other managers—his replacement Roberto Martinez being one of them—have won trophies with far inferior squads to that boasted by Everton. United’s squad is full of champions. The likes of Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs and Rooney have won multiple league titles, Champions League medals and several other honours. For Moyes to start telling them how to play football and how to improve their games, against no background of success, is a difficult scenario for those players to adhere to. United’s football has been slow and ponderous since Moyes arrived, and they already appear out of the title race at the midway stage of the season. The FA Cup has also disappeared, while Capital One Cup embarrassment is on the cards. Moyes had the chance to make a statement signing during the summer that would inject instant confidence into his methods, yet he bought Marouane Fellaini for £27.5 million, a player who embodies his belligerent style of football. The emergence of Ross Barkley, who would have resembled a far better signing for that fee in the summer, has only furthered the belief that Moyes made a giant mistake spending so heavily on Fellaini. He now has the January window to turn things around. According to Jackson’s article, United’s players need to be given a reason to believe, because right now they are heading for Europa League football or worse next year. Code:

Re: Masih Percayakah Moyes Orang Yang Tepat ?
Dibalik Keterpurukan MU
Mantan pelatih kiper MU, Eric Steel buka suara. Quote:

Re: Masih Percayakah Moyes Orang Yang Tepat ?
Why Manchester United Made a Mistake Allowing Ferguson to Choose His Successor
At the time it seemed eminently sensible that Sir Alex Ferguson should have a role in appointing his successor at Old Trafford. The Glazers had limited experience in football, and had never appointed a new manager before, while the executive vice chairman Ed Woodward hadn’t even started in his new role. No one could possibly compete with Ferguson’s knowledge and experience of the game, and so he would naturally use this to find a manager capable of building on his legacy. After what appears to be a very short search, Ferguson personally selected David Moyes. Moyes was Ferguson’s choice, which the Glazers promptly approved, and then even allowed Ferguson to make the initial approach and offer him the position at his own house. It meant that Moyes was unveiled to the United fans as Ferguson’s man, and his last-ever signing for the club. To some extent it has fireproofed Moyes from even greater criticism in these difficult early months, for to doubt Moyes would be to doubt Ferguson as well. Six months in to the job and with Moyes’ United having lost three games in the last week, being out of the title race and slumming it in seventh place, it increasingly looks as though it was mistake to allow Ferguson to handpick his own successor. This might seem harsh, but there appears to be too much ego and too much self-interest in Ferguson’s choice of Moyes. When Ferguson stepped down there were two obvious candidates to replace him: Moyes and Jose Mourinho. In his recently published autobiography, Ferguson justifies why he went for Moyes by extolling the virtues of his character. Quote:
It appears as though Ferguson got too carried away in trying to find someone in his own image to replace him. Manchester United is too big a club to appoint a manager for the content of his character rather than the contents of his trophy cabinet. After 26 years, maybe United should have actually done something different, gone with a new approach and been more radical. But is it really that radical to select a manager with a proven track record of winning rather than these good foundations that Ferguson speaks about? Ferguson and United clearly feared Mourinho; he was unpredictable, he was different, but overall he is a winner and worth the risk. It would possibly be wrong to suggest that in Moyes, Ferguson has someone he can continue to exert control over, for he is aware of what damage can be done with meddling from the director’s box, but it is certainly fair to say he is more comfortable with Moyes. The difference is Moyes will forever be grateful to him for the chance, while Mourinho would simply believe he deserved it. Ferguson would also not have been keen to hand over his legacy to a former rival in Mourinho (Moyes was never a rival) and then watch as the Portuguese manager enhance his own already sizeable reputation on the back of all his hard work. Moyes was sold to United fans as the candidate who offered the most stability, but in reality his lack of experience of managing a big club also meant he carried a greater risk, which is now being played out with disastrous results. Mourinho has a track record of walking in to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, and always delivering a title—sometimes a Champions League trophy too—whereas Moyes has a track record of once finishing in the top four with Everton. Mourinho would have excited this current United squad and immediately earned their respect, while Moyes is still working hard to earn it. If Moyes and Mourinho could be compared to players, it is as if Ferguson had the chance to sign either Cristiano Ronaldo or Leon Osman, and chose Osman. Code:
