Default Re: [EPL] Sunderland vs Manchester United

“When the final whistle went, we didn’t really know what the score at City was. But then we heard the Sunderland fans cheering,” Wayne Rooney said afterwards. “It was sad to see that because they should be supporting their own team really. They didn’t have the best of seasons so for them to be cheering like that was sad. It was something myself and a lot of the players won’t forget.”

Prediksi gw SAF Bakalan Pake tim inti melihat kejadian para fans Sunderland tahun lalu yg bergembira saat City jd juara...

The fact is United punya match yg nggak kalah penting dalam 48 jam ke depan ...
Pengennya sih nglumat the Black Cats .. BUT ...

Martin O'Neil pun udah mulai menebar ancaman nih ..., mereka mengincar 3 pts penuh di kandang setelah dalam bbrp laga tidak tampil maksimal, momen international break dipercaya sbg titik balik bagi Sunderland ..

So watch out Lads ..., keep focus and FIGTH !!!

Sunderland v MANCHESTER UNITED: Nani, Jones and Scholes fit for Fergie

Manchester United have received a triple injury boost ahead of their Premier League trip to Sunderland.
Nani (hamstring), Phil Jones (ankle) and Paul Scholes (knee) have all recovered from their knocks.

All three could be involved at the Stadium of Light as United defend a 15-point lead at the top of the table, with Javier Hernandez and Antonio Valencia most likely to be excused due to their lengthy travels during the international break.

Team (from): De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Rafael, Smalling, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Buttner, Giggs, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Cleverley, Anderson, Young, Kagawa, Nani, Welbeck, Rooney, Hernandez, Van Persie.

masih berpikir keras soal starting line up ntar malem
ini pertandingan penting, begitu juga di hari senin nanti
sepertinya cuma Rooney yg berani di pasang Fergie, yg lain mungkin di parkir dulu kali yak

away ke Sunderland selalu sulit, City aja keok di sana

Hampir semua pemain 1st team baru aja memperkuat negara mereka masing2..
Kagawa, Valencia, Chicharito kemungkinan ngga dimainkan karena kebugaran secara baru aja menempuh perjalanan jauh setelah International Break..

Sementara Sunderland sendiri juga lagi timpang, pemain Brown, Cuellar, Fletcher kemungkinan ngga main..

Preview: Sunderland v Manchester United

Form guide: Before the international break, United took full advantage of Manchester City's shock defeat at Everton by beating Reading*1-0 to move 15 points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League. As a result, the Reds remain on course to reclaim the title that was so cruelly lost on the final day of last season, when a*1-0 win over Sunderland had appeared*to seal the championship until Sergio Aguero's last-gasp winner at the Etihad Stadium. Memories of that day are still raw, and that will hopefully inspire Sir Alex’s men to a triumph over a Black Cats side that is without a win in seven top-flight fixtures.

Ins and outs: Hopefully all of United’s international stars have returned to Carrington in rude health and are available for selection this weekend. But with an FA Cup meeting*at Chelsea booked for Easter Monday, the boss will manage team selection at Sunderland carefully. Paul Scholes and Phil Jones could both return from injury, while Anders Lindegaard may feature for the first time since facing West Ham in January. Crucially, the home side are without top scorer Steven Fletcher and Lee Cattermole for the rest of the season through injury. Stephane Sessegnon and David Vaughan are also facing a battle to be fit.

Last meeting: United wrapped an early present for Reds around the world by securing a*3-1 win over Sunderland to guarantee top spot in the league for*Christmas Day*thanks to goals from Robin van Persie, Tom Cleverley and Wayne Rooney -*before Fraizer Campbell secured some consolation for the Black Cats*with a*scrappy riposte on 72 minutes.

Did you know? In Barclays Premier League history, United’s top scorer against Sunderland is that little known, deadly finisher called ‘Own Goal’, with five strikes. Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are tied for second with four apiece.

Opposition boss: Martin O’Neill spent the majority of his playing career at Nottingham Forest working under the iconic Brian Clough, whose influence is clear to see in the Northern Irishman’s managerial career. Amusingly, when appointed Sunderland boss in 2011, the 61-year-old recalled his late mentor’s infamous sense of humour, saying:* “I never once phoned him for advice because I know he would have said... You got yourself into this mess; now get yourself out of it.” And with his side currently facing the threat of relegation, O’Neill knows exactly what he has to do.

Star man:*John O’Shea is not accustomed to fighting the drop having enjoyed a trophy-laden 12-season stay at Old Trafford, but insists the mentality needed is similar to chasing the title at the other end of the table. “It’s not something I’m used to,” he recently explained. “It’s a new experience for me. But in its own way, I don’t think it is any different from when you’re chasing for a title - it’s all about the importance of winning pressure games.”

Sub-plots: As mentioned, the Stadium of Light was the setting for one of United’s biggest disappointments in recent history and memories are understandably raw.*Supporters won’t have forgotten the celebrations of Sunderland's fans at the end, but even so there are greater reasons for chasing victory on Saturday than revenge.

Quote/unquote: “Personally, I didn't see them cheering as I was on my way from the seat in the stands to the locker room. I was injured at the time but had a feeling we were probably going to win. Unfortunately we didn't. When you have an experience like that and if you feel something is against you, like the fans in Sunderland, hopefully it's something we can remember to use in a positive way at the weekend.* We'll go up there and be determined to win the game.” - Anders Lindegaard.

Whistle blower: Kevin Friend will be the man in the middle on Saturday. The Leicestershire-based referee has taken charge of 28 games this season, dishing out 96 yellow cards and three reds in the process. He was last seen by United fans during a*1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Rivals watch: Title rivals Manchester City host Newcastle at the Etihad at 15:00 GMT on Saturday whilst Arsenal face Reading and Chelsea travel to Southampton. Liverpool will tackle Aston Villa on Sunday.
