Re: United Reserves Matches 2011-2012
Barclays Premier Reserve Lge
26 January 2012 Moss Lane, Altrincham UNITED 6 (W. Keane 33, Soderberg o.g. 53, Petrucci 64, 90, M. Keane 68, Massacci 84) NEWCASTLE 0 Res: United 6 Newcastle 0 26/01/2012 20:52, Report by Adam Bostock Will Keane was the first of four different Manchester United players to find the net on Thursday night, as the Reds made a stunning return to action in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North. Second-half additions from skipper Davide Petrucci (2), centre-back Michael Keane and substitute Alberto Massacci plus an own goal by Newcastle United goalkeeper Ole Soderberg gave the hosts a handsome victory - the joint-biggest win of the season so far, after Swansea City were also trounced 6-0 back in August. With Petrucci and Paul Pogba impressively pulling the midfield strings, aided and abetted by Jesse Lingard and Larnell Cole on either flank, the Reds ultimately had too much class for a young Newcastle side light on senior experience yet full of endeavour. Indeed the Magpies' energetic chasing almost brought them the opening goal, when a prolonged spell of keep-ball by the hosts finally broke down. Daniel Taylor took control for Newcastle and tested Sam Johnstone with a low drive. The Reds' keeper had the original trajectory covered but was perhaps lucky to still divert the shot wide after it took an awful bobble off the bumpy Moss Lane surface. At the other end, the Reds’ grip of the midfield proceedings almost paid off when Lingard cut inside from the left and fed Petrucci. When the young Italian curled a ball into the area, Will Keane flicked it on and Soderberg took flight to ensure the header went wide. Will Keane showed another side to his attacking prowess when he charged forward from the middle of the park, either muscling or weaving his way past four Newcastle players. In the end, he was outnumbered and forced to try and lay the ball off for Lingard, unsuccessfully, before he could shoot. Lingard was teed up midway through the half when Pogba pulled off a trick or two on the right wing and left Greg McDermott – son of Liverpool legend Terry – with twisted blood as he jinked his way along the byline. The Frenchman deserved an assist but Lingard lifted his pull-back over the bar and let Newcastle off the hook. The same pair combined when Pogba again showed his immaculate close control to outfox Jeff Henderson on the halfway line and feed Lingard for a run that McDermott halted with a brave challenge. When the ball broke for Will Keane, the striker fired straight at Soderberg – just as Pogba had done moments earlier with a powerful effort from outside the area. A more subtle connection from the Frenchman helped to set up the Reds' breakthrough goal on 33 minutes, as the ball was forwarded on first time by Fryers, Lingard, Pogba and finally Petrucci into Will Keane's path. The striker swiftly controlled it and with Henderson at his back, he drilled home into the bottom-left hand corner. A step-over and a shimmy preceded Pogba's next attempt but his rising shot didn't live up to the approach. Cole also cleared the crossbar when Fryers charged down the left, Evra-style, and cut the ball back shortly before half-time. The second-half quest for the game's second goal started with Daniel Taylor heading straight at Johnstone and ended eight minutes after the break when Soderberg made his embarrassing blunder, allowing Oliver Norwood's cross to spill out of his arms and over the line. Norwood would have a nerve to claim it, for although his short corner to Lingard and subsequent delivery was well executed, the Sweden Under-21s keeper will surely catch the next 99 crosses like it. From the ridiculous to the sublime... when Soderberg next picked the ball out of the net, he'd been beaten by a beauty - Petrucci's looping shot into the top left-hand corner after a neat exchange with Lingard just outside the area. The range of goal types was added to in the 68th minute when Michael Keane motored forward and headed in from Cole's right-wing cross, as his brother Will selflessly peeled away. Four goals to the good, Warren Joyce made a double change for the final 15 minutes, bringing on the Italian pair Alberto Massacci and Michele Fornasier and resting Lingard and Cole. And it was Massacci who made it 5-0, killing Petrucci's ball over the top on his thigh and spinning to beat Soderberg with a left-foot strike across the keeper. Petrucci then helped himself to a second goal of the game, and United's sixth, in injury time with a low shot deflected in off Henderson. Six goals, a fourth consecutive clean sheet and three points to close the gap on leaders Sunderland - Joyce could hardly have wished for a better first league game in 2012. United: Johnstone; Vermijl, Wootton, M. Keane, Fryers; Norwood, Pogba, Petrucci; Cole (Massacci, 75), W. Keane, Lingard (Fornasier, 75). Subs not used: Coll, Thorpe, Giverin. _______________________ Beberapa poin... - Tidak ada Morrison tapi ada Pogba. Apa Morrison cedera? Klo nggak apa ada kaitannya dengan nego kontrak yang gagal? Tapi kenapa Pogba ada? - M. Keane bukannya lagi dipinjemin ke Royal Atnwerp ya? Apa dipanggil balik buat back up bek2 United? - W. Keane dan Petrucci terus nunjukin performa bagus dengan bikin gol. - Ada Johnstone dan Norwood yang baru aja kembali dari masa peminjaman. Moga mereka bisa segera dapet tim peminjam lagi. |

pogba makin siiip nih... siap2 lg deh buat first team

Paul Pogba scored a richly-deserved winner as United moved to the top of the Barclays Premier Reserve League North with a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Bolton. The hosts shrugged off the loss of Larnell Cole to a hamstring injury to take a first-half lead when Pogba's wonderful free-kick was converted by Reece Brown. Tope Obadeyi levelled with a bolt out of the blue but pressure told in the end with Pogba heading his third of the season with only six minutes left to take his side above Sunderland in the table. The Reds raced out of the blocks with Jay Lynch having to clear a Pogba through ball to Jesse Lingard and then saving superbly to thwart Davide Petrucci following exquisite build-up play by Will Keane. After Cole limped off, Frederic Veseli making his debut as the replacement, Petrucci couldn't convert Ritchie De Laet's driven cross and Will Keane spurned a glorious chance when Lynch pushed out a fierce Pogba drive. Pogba shook off any after-effects from a crude foul by Paul Robinson, who was booked for the challenge, with a quite superb free-kick that invited Brown to dab in a simple finish for the opener. Obadeyi saw an effort blocked by a ruck of players during a goalmouth scramble at the end of the half but United continued to press after the interval. Will Keane was kept out again by Lynch with Petrucci having penalty appeals waved away from the rebound before Keane forced another stop out of the visiting keeper following more neat approach work by the striker. Will Keane then scooped wastefully wide after being released by Lingard and was punished moments later. Veseli had already made a goal-saving challenge on Tom Eaves but he could little to get in the way of Obadeyi's unerring shot that flew past Sam Johnstone and in off the far post. After Lynch again got the better of his personal duel with Will Keane, Lingard was guilty of a poor miss when screwing off target despite being left in the clear by Petrucci's classy pass. Robinson and Sean Davis made last-ditch tackles to continue Will Keane's frustrating night while Eaves and Joshua Vela mustered attempts for hard-working Wanderers. Salford-born Lynch was in a formidable mood, denying Lingard with a splendid stop, but he was grateful to see a Petrucci effort curve away from goal and fortunate when Pogba's piledriver left the woodwork shaking after being teed up by Petrucci and Will Keane. Veseli's debut ended prematurely when he was forced to hobble off in a second injury blow for Warren Joyce but the night ended on a high when the excellent Pogba sparked a move that led to De Laet crossing for the Frenchman to head past Lynch, the luckless keeper only able to palm it into the net. Bolton's Obadeyi flashed a cross and shot dangerously towards goal but there was to be no late drama and Joyce's side saw out three minutes of stoppage time to claim another three points to move ahead of Sunderland on goal difference with two games in hand on the Wearsiders. United: Johnstone; Vermijl, M.Keane, Fryers, De Laet; Cole (Veseli 15 (Thorpe 78)), Brown, Pogba, Petrucci, Lingard; W.Keane. Subs not used: Coll, Fornasier, Massacci.

Re: United Reserves Matches 2011-2012
bagus nih buat latihan jadi "the First Team"...
Reds relish Dallas Cup trip The Reds' Reserves are relishing a trip to the United States to compete in the Dallas Cup, which gets underway on 1 April. Warren Joyce will take a side across the Atlantic in order to provide a fresh challenge for many of last season's FA Youth Cup winners, who have successfully made the step up to second-string football. "We're going to the Dallas Cup in the US," Joyce told Inside United. "There are a lot of good teams going and we felt it would be valuable experience for this group of boys. "They've been together a while and passed every test they've been hit with. They come good and rise to the challenge and this is another one. "We'll take them away for a period of time and challenge them against various different styles of football and cultures. Even the travel will be gruelling but it gives them a taste of what the first-team lads have to do. "It is hard to plan trips - even now I don't know which players I'm going to end up taking. But it's something that we will really look forward to."

Res: West Brom 1 United 0 United's title bid suffered a blip at The Hawthorns as the Reserves failed to score for a second successive game. Nicky Shorey's first-half opener proved decisive and, despite an improved*display after the break, the Reds were unable to find a way past home keeper Luke Daniels.*After Jesse Lingard had a couple of early efforts off target, Albion took the lead when a quickly-taken corner allowed Shorey to cut inside and bury a right-footed curler past Ben Amos. Only a top-class save by Amos prevented Adil Nabi from extending the lead soon afterwards and Albion were decent value for their first-half lead.*Wesley Atkinson screwed a shot wide for the hosts while Daniels didn't have to make a save until the 34th minute when he stopped*a tame Lingard effort. Will Keane was constantly outnumbered by defenders in attack but, after Ezekiel Fryers popped a drive the wrong side of the far post, the England Under-21 international muscled his way through to round Daniels, only to see Cameron Gayle make a goalline clearance. Warren Joyce's half-time team-talk had the desired effect as, with Lingard moving more central, the pressure was applied right from the referee's whistle. Lingard forced a fine save out of Daniels following good work from Will Keane and then pulled the ball agonisingly across the six-yard box with no team-mate on hand to apply the finishing touch. A brilliant solo run by Will Keane was not matched by the shot, as Daniels saved comfortably, but the home keeper had to be at his best to beat out a Davide Petrucci shot from close range. Joyce handed teenagers James Wilson and Mats Daehli their debuts at this level and, although Lingard worked Daniels again, Albion weathered the storm. Shorey shovelled over and Amos saved from Liam O'Neil and Graeme Dorrans before the Reds came on strong again in the closing stages. Will Keane played a neat one-two with Wilson but was denied by Daniels' foot after cutting in on goal and*Michael Keane's header was inches past the post from Petrucci's pinpoint cross. There was one final chance deep into injury time but Ryan Tunnicliffe blazed over an inviting set-up from Michael Keane. United: Amos; De Laet, M.Keane, Fornasier, Fryers (Daehli 63); Vermijl, Veseli (Wilson 61), Tunnicliffe, Petrucci, Lingard; W.Keane. Subs not used: Massacci, Johnstone, Giverin.
