Masih gk habis pikir sih ama keputusan Pakde van Gaal yg tidak merubah line up skuad saat melawan Newcastle di Old Trafford, Jum'at kmrn (KO 22.00) dan melawan Spurs di White Hart Lane, minggu (KO 19.00) » selisih 45 jam (atau sekitar 43 jam dari FT match di OT), belum lagi ada waktu untuk menempuh perjalanan dari Manchester ke London

Spurs sendiri yg bertindak sbg tuan rumah melakukan 4 perubahan dari 2 match mereka

Yah setidaknya di depan Wilson mungkin bisa maen duluan lah, gantiin antara Falcao atau RvP di line up

"We had the best performance of Manchester United this season in the first half. We could have scored four or five goals and we didn't reward ourselves.

"In the second half it was more a struggle than football I think.

"The players couldn't recover in two days, it was an ugly match.

"In the first half we played very well, but if you don't score goals you cannot win."

The Dutchman admitted the draw was a missed opportunity, adding: "The first half was a fantastic half of ours. Then you have to finish the attacks and we were not so effective today."

And he criticised the schedule, with two matches in 48 hours.

"It's the culture of England, but I think the human body cannot recover in 48 hours so good," he said.

Asked if he was satisfied with the progress of his side so far, Van Gaal, who refused to talk about possible transfer targets in January, said: "I would have been satisfied if we had won today."

Herrera boost as van Gaal explains substitutions

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says fatigue, not form, led to his substitutions in Sunday's goalless draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dutchman made three defensive changes during the match at White Hart Lane, in what was the Reds' second game in three days. Rafael came on for Antonio Valencia at half-time, before Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw made their returns to the team as replacements for Jonny Evans and Paddy McNair respectively.

"I made the changes because of tiredness, not because players weren’t playing well," the manager told MUTV. "I had to make changes, and could have made more because the strikers were on their last legs.

"The players were tired because we’ve had to play twice in 48 hours. It’s scientifically proven that the body can’t recover within two days, and we’ve seen the effects of that today."

United's starting line-up was unchanged from the Boxing Day win over Newcastle but van Gaal admitted his alternatives were limited. "We still have four injuries, and Marouane Fellaini is ill. Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera are currently out."

There was, however, a positive update on the latter player, with van Gaal stating "Ander will be coming back this week" as the Reds prepare to face Stoke City with, this time, a full three days falling between that New Year’s Day fixture and the Tottenham encounter.

Phil Jones: Tiredness affects every team, not just Manchester United

Phil Jones has rejected the idea that tiredness was the reason why Manchester United failed to beat Tottenham on Sunday, saying "it’s the same for every team".

United missed a number of good opportunities to take all three points at White Hart Lane where the match finished goalless.

But the England defender chose not to criticise the congested festive period schedule which sees most teams playing four games in 10 days, including a third round FA Cup tie this weekend.

Jones told MUTV: "Fatigue is always going to kick in with two games in three days but it's the same for every club in the Premier League.

"You have to do it, we have done it, and now we look forward to the game against Stoke on Thursday.

“We created numerous chances in the first half and perhaps should have been three or four nil up at half-time but it wasn't to be.

"In the second half they came out and pushed us to the end. We knew that would happen but we stayed resilient and we kept a clean sheet.

"It's always nice to come away with a clean sheet but ultimately the lads are disappointed not to have taken all three points.

“I thought Falcao and Robin were terrific. They held the ball up well, they linked up well but it just wasn't our day in front of goal."
