Manchester United 'send scouts to watch Crystal Palace flop Alexander Sorloth at Trabzonspor... with Turkish side able to sign him in summer for just £6M' after ZERO Premier League goals in 16 games

* Striker Alexander Sorloth joined Crystal Palace in January 2018 for £9million
* He scored zero league goals for them and they let him go out on loan in summer
* Trabzonspor have an option to sign him for just £6million in upcoming window
* Manchester United sent scouts to watch the 24-goal striker this weekend

Manchester United sent scouts to watch Crystal Palace flop Alexander Sorloth play at the weekend, according to reports.

United, Sheffield United, Sevilla and RB Leipzig all sent talent spotters along to watch the striker as he played for Trabzonspor in their 5-2 win over Rizespor in the Turkish top flight.

Sorloth failed to impress at Selhurst Park after a £9million move there in January 2018, not scoring once in his 16 Premier League appearances.

Manchester United sent scouts to watch Crystal Palace flop Alexander Sorloth at the weekend. He has shone since joining Trabzonspor on a loan deal in the summer, scoring 24 goals

But he has shone since joining Trabzonspor on a two-year loan deal in the summer, scoring 24 goals and providing seven assists this campaign.

Trabzonspor have an option to sign him for just £6million in the summer due to a clause in their deal with Palace, according to the Sun.

And they will have a number of Premier League sides queuing to take him on if they want to make a speedy profit on him, according to Turkish outlet Fotomac.

Sorloth recently acknowledged the interest in him. He said: 'I have seen the rumours, there are so many, I have read them and keep being sent information about teams that are interested.

'However, I am only focused on Trabzonspor, there is a great team spirit here and we want to win the double.

'This is a great side, we play at the highest level and the team have really bonded together.

'It would be irresponsible, wrong and disrespectful to talk about transfers at this time.

'I am not going to do it, I am not getting involved, I am focused on the title race.'

Paul Pogba will return to full training next week as Manchester United star closes in on injury comeback having not started a game since SEPTEMBER!

* Paul Pogba has been out of action since December due to an ankle injury
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said Pogba will train with the first team from next week
* The 26-year-old Frenchman has featured in just eight games this season
* His future remains up in the air with both Juventus and Real Madrid keen

Paul Pogba has moved closer to a comeback for Manchester United after manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that the Frenchman will return to first-team training next week.

Pogba hasn't played since Boxing Day due to a troublesome ankle injury that required surgery.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has made just eight appearances in total for United this season, has been to Dubai and the US as part of his rehabilitation.

Paul Pogba is closing in on a return to full training after being out since Boxing Day. Pogba, pictured with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has not appeared for United since Boxing Day

Pogba's extended lay-off has come amid intense speculation that he will leave Old Trafford for a second time in the summer, four years after returning from Juventus in a then world-record £89million move.

Juventus and Real Madrid are among Pogba's admirers but Solskjaer hopes to have him back for the final stages of the season after it was confirmed that Pogba will rejoin the rest of the squad next week.

It may still be some time before he will be available for selection.

'Paul is still working with the physios outside and he won't be training with the first team until next week,' said Solskjaer.

'Then let's see how long that will take. He needs time to get his football fitness back.'

Daniel James is set to be missing again when United visit Derby in the FA Cup fifth round on Thursday, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also a doubt after picking up a back injury against Everton at the weekend.

Daniel James is expected to miss Manchester United's FA Cup tie against Derby County

Red Devils right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka may also sit out the cup clash due to a back injury

'He (James) will probably miss out on this one as well,' added Solskjaer. 'Marcus (Rashford) and Paul still out and I think Aaron might be struggling. He will have a test but he struggled in our last game against Everton with his back, so he might be out.'

Sergio Romero is likely to play in goal, although Solskjaer was keen to stress that it would be no reflection on David de Gea's performance at Everton when he gifted a goal to Dominic Calvert-Lewin in a 1-1 draw.

'It's not a given of course, but Sergio has done well in the games he's played definitely,' said Solskjaer.

'I have no qualms about playing David in every game, to be fair. What he's done and his performances have been great.'

Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid 'chase Fenerbahce wonderkid Omer Beyaz'

* Fenerbahce's Omer Beyaz is attracting interest from a host of Europe's top clubs
* The attacking midfielder's contract expires in June 2021 and is likely to leave
* The Turkish side lost a top talent in Merih Demiral in 2016 and don't want a repeat
* Omer Beyaz is yet to play a game for Fenerbahce but has still been impressing

Manchester United and Manchester City are among Europe's elite clubs interested in signing Fenerbahce starlet Omer Beyaz according to Fotospor.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan are also believed to be keen in the 16-year-old.

The attacking midfielder's contract expires in June 2021 and Fenerbahce are hoping they are not about to lose another top talent.

Omer Beyaz (second from right) is attracting interest from a host of Europe's top clubs. Man United are among Europe's elite clubs interested in signing Fenerbahce's youngster

The Turkish side lost Merih Demiral in 2016 to Portuguese side AC Alcanenense and the defender now plays for Juventus.

Beyaz is yet to play a game for Fenerbahce but has been impressing for the Turkish side's academy.

The Red Devils are also in the mix for Jude Bellingham, who reportedly has the choice of four of Europe's biggest clubs after they all agreed to meet Birmingham City's £30 million valuation.

The 16-year-old was spotted leaving United's training ground earlier this week, while Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are also keen.

All of those clubs have agreed to meet Birmingham's £30 million valuation; which the Mirror reports is comprised of a £15m down payment and £15m in performance related add ons.

Manchester United ‘willing to make significant effort’ to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti this summer

* Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti
* The central defender has failed to fully establish himself a the Nou Camp
* Spanish outlet Sport claim United will make the more serious approach

Manchester United are reportedly planning on making a serious attempt to sign Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti this summer.

The 26-year-old is in the midst of his fourth season at the Nou Camp but has never managed to truly establish himself.

United and Arsenal are both interested in him but it is the Red Devils who are willing to make the more significant effort to do so, according to Sport.

Manchester United will reportedly try and sign Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti. The French centre-back has failed to secure a regular starting role at the Nou Camp

United want a left-sided central defender and Quique Setien would be prepared to allow Umtiti to leave for the right price, despite being fond of the player.

Napoli's Kalidou Kouliably has also been discusssed but Umtiti would be the more afforddqble optiuon.,

The Frenchman has started just nine La Liga matches this term and has largely played second-fiddle to Clément Lenglet since his compatriot joined Barca in the summer of 2018.

Manchester United 'to make last-ditch offer for Ajax star Donny van de Beek' as they look to pip Spanish giants Real Madrid to his signature

* Ajax's Donny van de Beek has become one of the most coveted players in Europe
* He has attracted heavy interest from both Real Madrid and Manchester United
* Madrid were desperate to sign the 22-year-old Holland international last summer
* Van de Beek has scored 10 goals and created 11 assists so far this campaign

Manchester United are trying to steal Ajax star Donny van de Beek from Real Madrid's grasp, according to reports in Spain.

The Holland international was expected to make a move to Madrid last summer but as the Spanish giants couldn't offload Gareth Bale or James Rodriguez, Van de Beek had to stay put at Ajax for another season.

But now according to Spanish publication Marca, United will make a last-ditch offer for the 22-year-old as they look to pip Madrid to his signature.

Ajax star Donny van de Beek has attracted huge interest from Real Madrid and Man United. Van de Beek has become one of the most coveted stars around thanks to his fine form for Ajax

The Red Devils understand that it will be difficult to steal Van de Beek from under Madrid's noses but the club will do everything they can to make their pursuit a success.

Van de Beek emerged on the scene in style last season for Ajax as they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and claimed the Eredivisie title.

And he has proved last season wasn't just a one-off - the Dutchman has scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists so far this campaign for Ajax.

Van de Beek could be the perfect player to replace Paul Pogba if he was to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

The Holland star's ability to surge forward from midfield and help link up the attacking play has made him one of the most attractive propositions in Europe.

Manchester United 'willing to let Chris Smalling leave for Roma on permanent deal if they sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli as replacement'

* Chris Smalling has been playing on loan with AS Roma from Manchester United
* United are reportedly ready to let him leave 'if they can sign Kalidou Koulibaly'
* Koulibaly, 28, is a star at Napoli and has long been a target for English clubs

Manchester United are reportedly ready to allow Chris Smalling to make his loan to Roma permanent, provided they can sign Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.

Smalling has had a renaissance since swapping England for Italy this season and Roma are believed to be keen on keeping him at the club beyond June, when his loan deal at the club expires.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that their hopes of that happening rest on whether United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can entice Koulibaly to Old Trafford.

Chris Smalling (left) may need a Serie A rival to depart to Old Trafford for him to stay at Roma. Smalling has impressed in Italy and is said to have settled to life in the Italian capital of Rome

United are credited with interest in Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly to replace Smalling. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to improve the side as he aims to put them in title contention

Koulibaly, 28, has frequently been linked with moves to the Premier League in recent seasons but has continued to show loyalty in Naples.

Teams have been put off by Napoli's £90million valuation but given the unrest at the club earlier this season - players and owner Aurelio de Laurentiis were involved in a civil war over a refusal to go to a training ground retreat - he may be sold to generate funds.

He would arrive as a partner for Harry Maguire, who has established himself as United captain since arriving from Leicester City for a record £80m last summer, and would fill the void left by Smalling.

Solskjaer currently has Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe as centre back options, with both Smalling and Marcos Rojo out on loan.

Rojo is likely to depart as part of a further shake-up by Solskjaer and there remains question marks over both Jones and Bailly, the latter mainly surrounding his fitness.

Maguire and Lindelof have been the preferred pairing of late but a move for Koulibaly would represent a statement signing from United as they aim to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League.

Smalling is yet to make a decision on his long-term future but is said to have settled with his wife Samantha in the Italian capital.

He has remained in Rome during the coronavirus lockdown and hopes to finish the campaign on a high once it resumes. Roma, like United, made the last 16 of the Europa League and stand fifth in the Serie A table.

Manchester United and Chelsea target Declan Rice 'up for sale at £70m as West Ham plan squad overhaul... and nobody is safe due to financial issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic'

* West Ham United keen to raise funds following the coronavirus outbreak
* David Moyes may be forced to sell star man Declan Rice for around £70m
* Move would allow Hammers boss to revamp the struggling Premier League side

Declan Rice could spark a transfer war among the Premier League's leading clubs this summer, with West Ham United prepared to allow their key asset to leave.

Manager David Moyes is keen to freshen up his squad, and although he wants Rice to be part of it, knows he needs funds to reboot a side that before the coronavirus outbreak were struggling desperately in the battle against relegation.

But according to the Sun, 'nobody is safe' from being sold at the London Stadium with the Hammers struggling with cash flow issues as a result of the pandemic.

West Ham United could be forced to sell star midfielder Declan Rice for around £70million. Hammers boss David Moyes hopes the funds raised could help him revamp the club's squad

Despite the club having a poor season, Rice has shone in the midfield and picked up his first England cap earlier in 2019, earning six more since.

As a result, the Stratford based side could expect to attract £70million for his services and that has drawn interest from Manchester United and his former club Chelsea.

Rice started his career at the Blues before being released at 15-years-old.

But he could be brought back to Stamford Bridge to play alongside close friend Mason Mount.

Although the Blues already have N’Golo Kante, the exciting youngster Billy Gilmour and Jorginho in midfield, it is though the Brazilian could be sold to make way for Rice.

Juventus 'preparing swap deal for Paul Pogba' with Aaron Ramsey, Miralem Pjanic and Adrien Rabiot all being considered as Manchester United bait

* Juventus are said to be desperate to bring midfielder Paul Pogba back to Turin
* The Frenchman has on previous occasions expressed a willingness to depart
* Juve have a host of surplus stars which they could offer Manchester United
* Aaron Ramsey, Miralem Pjanic and Adrien Rabiot are reportedly now available

Juventus are reportedly ready to pull out all the stops in order to bring Paul Pogba back to Serie A.

While Manchester United remain keen to hold on to their star midfielder, the minds of the Old Trafford chiefs may be swayed when Juve table a tempting swap deal.

Reports in Italy claim the league leaders are now looking to use some of their surplus superstars as bait in the deal, in order to persuade United to part with the World Cup winner.

Tuttosport say former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey is to be one of the stars while Miralem Pjanic - who United have previously tried to sign - is said to be another.

A like-for-like French swap could be carried out with playmaker Adrien Rabiot making his way to Manchester, with Juve also considering the prospect after the former PSG man failed to hold down a regular starting spot.

Both Ramsay and Rabiot were acquired by Juve as free agents, meaning the Italian club are not mindful of recouping a specific fee for the midfielders.

Juventus are preparing to blow rivals out of the water with a huge swap deal for Paul Pogba. Former Arsenal man Aaron is reportedly being considered a part of a lucrative swap move

Like Ramsay, Adrien Rabiot has failed to nail down a regular spot and may also be included

On Friday Manchester United chief Ed Woodward admitted the club are unable to spend lavishly in the summer transfer window, due to the damaging financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Juve therefore are hopeful that Pogba's value may be slightly reduced as a result, and that United may be more inclined to accept a swap deal in order to ensure elite level personnel are coming through the door.

It is also reported that Juve would likewise be willing to consider adding either Douglas Costa or Alex Sandro to a deal, depending upon United's positional requirement.

Juve will not be unchallenged in trying to sign Pogba this summer however, with Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain each again being linked with a swoop.

Juve know of United's admiration for Miralem Pjanic after they tried to sign him in the past

Like Juve, PSG are also reported to be looking to piece together a swap deal for the midfielder, which could include the sensational return of Angel Di Maria.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane however is understood to still be intent on bringing Pogba to the Spanish capital, and has placed his compatriot at the top of a transfer wish list.

Zidane is intent on the deal, and French newspaper L'Equipe report that the asking price for the World Cup winner will be lower than the £87m fee set a year ago.

With Pogba entering the final two years of his contract, United were planning on listening to offers for him this summer to avoid the scenario of losing the player they signed in 2016, for a then world record £89million, on the cheap.

The 27-year-old already earns in the region of £300,000 a week at United and a new deal - either at Old Trafford or with a new club - looks increasingly likely to see him bringing in over half a million per week.

Manchester United 'leading the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz' as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plots £50m bid... and they 'still want Jadon Sancho in double Bundesliga swoop'

Manchester United are reportedly leading the race for Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz.

The hugely talented midfielder is highly sought after and United are prepared to make an initial offer of £50million for Havertz, according to The Sun.

United will most probably have to increase their offer but they are eager to secure a deal for the Germany international.

The report indicates that United are still eager to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who scored a hat-trick in a 6-1 victory away to Paderborn on Sunday.

Sancho would most likely cost in excess of £100m if he was to make the switch to Old Trafford.

Havertz has often played as an attacking midfielder but he can also be deployed as a forward in a No 9 or No 10 role or out wide.

This season the 20-year-old has mustered 15 goals in 38 appearances for Leverkusen across all competitions, while he has provided eight assists.

Havertz has just over two years remaining on his current deal at Leverkusen but the club could find it difficult to keep hold of him.
